  1. He's still consistently the best wrestler in the company. It's hard to gauge the guy though because it's the WWF. No one there is operating at full ability.
  2. Yeah, he lost most of his foot in a motorcycle accident. If you watch closely during his WWF matches you can see he uses the ropes a lot.
  3. Ah yes. I forgot about that one.
  4. There's also the time Vince completely hung Dr. D out to dry on 20/20. That's pretty high up there on the scummiest things he ever did.
  5. I found that more annoying because they continually bring back a two time wife/girlfriend beater in Austin (they even had him beating up women on air after his first conviction). But a guy breaks a flower pot in a hotel and he's fired? And they have no problem with someone like Snuka being a Hall of Famer either.
  6. Yeah. I find a lot of the smark posters funny that try to gloss over and deny how scummy the business is.
  7. I think Batista is officially dead in the water now. He's fucked now because he's in a never ending feud with HHH and people are sick of it. I'm guessing HHH wins the belt back because HIAC is "his" match or they'll junk future plans and put the belt back on Triple H due to decreased heat for Batista by Summerslam.
  8. This is a debate on another message board and I wanted to know what the real answer was. What was the WWF's reason for taking the title off of him in 90? I had always heard it was because his drug use was getting out of control and they were increasingly worried about him killing himself.
  9. I'm not surprised by this. The Batista/HHH feud had no legs after Mania and it was made even worse by HHH hogging all the time and Batista not appearing until 11 most nights. And it looks like they won't learn that lesson because Batista/HHH is going to headline another PPV.

  12. I'd love you to expand on this. Because the JD match was bad? Or because those matches were good? Anything in particular worth checking out? The Judgement Day wasn't bad but I think he's been involved in better matches. His 2003 Vengence match with Undertaker was about on the same level with this. His Smackdown match with Jericho in 2002 was slightly better. I haven't seen his debut match against Angle in a long time but I remember it being solid.
  13. Cena had better matches during his first three months in 2002.

  15. I agree with that. I came to realize this when people constantly shit on Hulk Hogan as a worker. Sure his moveset was weak but the guy worked the crowd better than anyone and could tell a good story in the ring. The problem with workrate is it comes from indy snobs who are ultimately idiots and think spotfests are workrate.
  16. Just to add. Less tv time might be a blessing for them. I've been watching a lot of recent OVW stuff and they've got no prospects there. Just a terrible group of wrestlers and bimbos down there.
  17. I think keeping the brand extension and then running each brand every other week might be interesting.
  18. I could see them releasing a lot of OVW guys and a lot of their Hoss of the Month guys if they actually lost Smackdown. That would probably kill all of this Diva Search nonsense as well.
  19. It seems stupid on UPN's part to bury their highest rated show. Oh well. I for one hope they lose all of their shows but Raw. Maybe that will finally wake Vince up.
  20. Josh Matthews and Chris Nowinski are the only wrestlers worth a damn that Tough Enough produced. Josh was probably the best so of course they used him in a non-wrestling role. I've seen the TE3 guys on OVW stuff a few times and neither are that impressive. Then again no one in OVW is really that impressive.
  21. Nothing really matters with Nidia. Steph decided that she didn't like her and that was it for her WWF career. Noble's too if you consider he got buried with her. I wouldn't have much faith in Psicosis either. It's been really downhill for the guy since his last appearances in WCW. Though I will admit his weak looking offense won't be as exposed in the WWF as it was during the TNA X Division stuff.
  22. He'll be gone by September. He'll do something stupid and get fired.
  23. Panda gets it's benefits from TNA though. They get various tax breaks from owning a division that loses money. So they don't lose as much money as you'd think from owning TNA, and it's entirely possible that they make money by flushing money on TNA. I doubt it but they've made a lot of that 20 million back come tax time.
  24. People were saying they'd last 2 months when they opened in 2002 and here we are 3 years later. The same people keep saying the same thing and they keep on going. It's really useless to talk about their death because no one's going to know until right before it happens. Opps, I guess I shouldn't make posts when I'm half asleep.
  25. He hasn't been over there since his shoulder injury last year.
