A lot of it is that Tony is trying different things all at once and they aren’t really working that well. I know he likes keeping things fresh, but you run into issues pushing folks into roles the crowd isn’t ready to respond to.
Those are the Canada shows and they don’t look really good at all regardless as far as advanced sales go (unless something has changed since the announcement.) If he gets a 25% bump or so afterwards, I’d say that’s a success.
It’s tongue-in-cheek scuttlebutt more than something I actually believe but also find it funny that someone would get a push based on enabling their boss’s worst impulses because there frankly isn’t anything more pro wrestling than that.
