  1. I remember reading a few years back that the feeling backstage was that while no one condoned Austin beating her, they all understood how she could drive a man to hit her. But still, I felt the same way Bix did when I read that. I guess they feel her talking about being beaten was worse than Austin actually doing the beating, because they sure will work with him! (Yes, I know it's all about money. But "WWE officials weren’t happy with her talking about being beaten by Austin"? Give me a fucking break.)
  2. Whatever he knows, Oliver ain't talking. (From a thread about his MMA podcast, his replies are in bold) "Good show but needed some Randy Savage talk." "Not going to happen, sorry." "I will spill the beans for 10 lortabs.....they must be 10mg Blue Watson... " "You can drug me and I won't talk about it. Let it go. Please." "Cryptic" "No, not cryptic. Just let it go. Nothing to see here."
  3. I transcribed Dave's comments on this from Monday night, complete with "you know"s and "I mean"s out the wazoo, and he doesn't seem to be joking at all, except maybe the Oliver thing. I don't know what that's about. "I think that the reason is the same reason that everyone says. It's the reason everyone in the company says. It's the reason that is the only one that makes any sense. So I think that's the reason. I can't come up with any other reason. I don't know. I mean, I've heard that reason from so many people that are not internet rumormongers, I mean people who - all I know is that within the company as far as the top people, they all believe it, and nobody knows for sure, because it's never brought up...When I first heard the story I didn't believe it because I thought it was just some story, but then, and I mean even when people who are very high up in that company, after they left the company, would tell me that story I still didn't believe it, but, you know, after a certain number of years when it's just, you know, ideas are brought up for Randy Savage and the reaction - there's something real, real bad because, let's face it, I mean, I couldn't count the number of times Vince said he would never do business with Hulk Hogan, and he always does. So, I don't know...Actually, as time goes by, more people talk about it trying to say that it didn't happen. You should ask Oliver, 'cause Oliver knows."
  4. HE HAD IT COMING. HE WRESTLED FOR MONEY.
  5. I think on some level, even though he hates what Eric did, Vince has to respect him for being a total bastard and doing everything he could to screw Vince (as I imagine Vince subscribes to the "ruthless aggression" philosophy in real life). And with Eric, it's not like he owed Vince anything. People like Luger and Madusa, on the other hand, turned their back on him. And for that, they can never be forgiven, unless they could make him money, which they can't, so they're screwed. But Madusa came out of it alright, so whatever.
  6. Oliver hasn't said anything on the board, and I can't find any evidence of him saying anything about it before.
  7. Well, I'll be.
  8. Oh, apparently she is. Puts a damper on those plans, doesn't it?
  9. Tammy supposedly made some comment about getting in shape for Wrestlemania, so I'm sure she's already agreed. Sable didn't leave WWE on especially great terms, but they were much better terms than those under which she left the first time, so I could see them contacting her. However, I seriously doubt they called Chyna.
  10. To be fair to Keith, that list was written over eight years ago, so it doesn't necessarily reflect his current opinion nor does it take into account any matches he's reviewed since then.
  11. Who is Ichiban? John He's an idiot poster at the F4W board. I said it would only make sense to people familiar to people with that board.
  12. If Flair was so concerned about not being considered "just another guy" he shouldn't have spent the last years of his career working the openers on PPV against Shelton Benjamin and Carlito.
  13. From F4W, on the Austin/Hogan bigger draw debate:
  14. I have since learned that Scott frequently lurks at TSM, perhaps looking for material to crib from for his reviews. The $2.5 million figure was mentioned at TSM shortly before that rant went up, and that's likely where it came from.
  15. The last Saturday PPV was Road Wild '99. The last non-weekend WCW PPV was Starrcade '95, which aired on a Wednesday.
  16. Or he's getting Russo confused with Bret Hart. And really, who hasn't?
  17. You forgot about Abyss admitting to being a cutter and a Jonas Brothers fan.
  18. what not really Real accomplishments in the sport!
  19. $13.06 isn't even enough to get two medium pies! Cheap-o. Does anyone have, or know where I could find, the video of that Bischoff Subway commercial? I have been looking for that for years.
  20. And they were going to bring Tully in at the Clash where Sting got injured, just a couple of months later, according to Flair's shoot interview. Flair nixed the plan because they were going to pay Tully more than Arn (they were able to lowball Arn during negotiations months earlier because he wasn't coming as a package with Tully).
  21. Not getting Tully was a mistake. From what I've read, he wasn't asking for all THAT much. He just didn't like their offer of $500 per night. Can you imagine Arn/Tully-Blonds matches? I bet Flair/Arn/Tully with Ole as manager in six-man tags vs Windham/Blonds or Vader/Sid/Rude or whoever would have brought attendance up in the Carolinas. Also, Windham joining the Horsemen at Slamboree would have been stupid, considering he was wrestling Arn THAT NIGHT. With Ole booking, however, I guess we can just be thankful he didn't make the Assassin the fourth Horseman.
  22. No way he believes it. Coming up in the business, especially in the 70s and 80s, when a lot of old-school kayfabe was still in effect, he was probably taught that bullshit is a way of life. It's just second nature to him.
  23. The Scott Keith mailbag always brings the LOLs: And because he bashed a dude's head in at a bar and almost killed him. Scott didn't read Bret's book? Not because he was being pushed as a top heel and making him third-banana to Flair and Arn would have made him look like a loser. It was because WCW bookers hated the fans! (Well, they probably did. But that's besides the point.)
