  1. I wonder who would induct her. Shawn? DiBiase? One of the current divas? I actually think Sherri was way better than any of the current divas. Her bumps and antics on the outside are a large part of the reason that Savage had such a hot run from 1989-1991.
  2. Ironically, putting HHH in LONG world title matches has exposed him in some ways.
  3. London returning to ROH would be met positively, he could probably get regular or semi-regular tours internationally, and I'm sure TNA would want him. He'd be better off outside of WWE. Stacy Keibler may not resign, but her getting voluntarily released would be a very stupid decision.
  4. Jericho did NOT injure the first two guys he worked with in the company. Road Dogg and Ken Shamrock both took time off to sell storyline injuries, but were not really injured. You could stretch and blame him for Stevie Richards breaking his ankle, but it's common knowledge in wrestling that guys take their own bumps. And he did bust Chyna open hardaway with a hair dryer.
  5. I think it's ridiculous that they would put someone who isn't even trained to take bumps yet in a position to do a spot like that.
  6. The general belief is that they're putting Ashley in the ring a lot, while having her do so many promotional appearances that she doesn't even have time to train.
  7. Maybe they realized this week how lackluster the WM lineup is and they're going to blame the talent now for not getting over. Maybe not, but that wouldn't surprise me.
  8. It's never been the WW/W/F/E way, but I liked how in a lot of other big wrestling areas in the past, and even internationally, the tag titles are of huge importance and the top singles wrestlers usually have a regular partner as well and regularly express interest in winning the belts.
  9. Those are the two biggest examples. They also missed out on the chance to do the match with the WCW champion who never lost his belt going against the WWF champ on PPV when Benoit jumped, which I think was one of the best opportunities to make Benoit a big deal right off the bat. And of course, Booker T's infamous loss to HHH at Wrestlemania XIX, that he's only begun to recover from in the past three months. Ponder that.
  10. I wouldn't say that. It's not wrong, but it's not totally right either. I think the fact that the top guys got stale without pushing anyone new nearly as hard as the guys who were already there were pushed to get at that level, so no one bought the next wave of stars because WWE either waited too long to pull the trigger, damaged them through bad booking, or both.
  11. The question regards HHH's ego. Would he rather lose in the last match or win in the next to last one?
  12. He's lost two consecutive title matches at Wrestlemania. I think they're going to try to do some type of double turn, but that's just a guess. That's going to be nearly impossible to pull off if that's their goal.
  13. I'd say that's all accurate. I think one of the best things about Rey possibly winning the belt at Mania is that it makes EVERY wrestler up and down the card a top contender. Hell, they could probably headline with Rey/Henry for a month or so and it would be convincing because Henry has two wins over him. Every match, even among the most dull of wrestlers, suddenly becomes more interesting.
  14. Warrior said it best when he said that the WWE HOF is Vince's sick trophy case that shows all the lives he has in his possession. It could be a good, positive thing, but it's all political, and too many people are in that have had average-at-best careers.
  15. Dusty is one of the bigger names, actually. I'd be surprised if the majority of the fans that have been around for a long time don't know who he is. After Austin/Rock/Hogan/Flair/Andre, he's about on the same level as everyone else like Piper, Savage, Bret, etc. in terms of his star power in the US.
  16. It's times like this when I wish HTQ still posted here, because maybe he could share the details of that backstage fight between Hogan and Arn Anderson around 1996.
  17. It was a joke. Hogan made up the story on his Hulk Still Rules DVD out of thin air, and there's zero truth to it.
  18. That must be the same move Hogan used when he had to shoot on Tatsumi Fujinami to keep the WWF title when touring Japan.
  19. Agreed. How do "we" share them, though?
  20. It's not a deliberate thing where I can sight specific examples, but the way she has been used for almost her entire tenure in WWE shows that they see value in her, but hate that they feel obligated to keep her around. She started getting really, really over in 2002, and immediately, she was cast as subservient to Stephanie McMahon and made to look foolish in an angle with Test and Chris Jericho a few months later. Weirdly, this strange treatment started when she went - alone - with Vince to Australia to do a promotional tour in 2002. When she came back, she started getting treated really weird on TV. Draw your own conclusions. She has also refused to do Playboy or get a boob job.
  21. I doubt it. WWE have resented Stacy Keibler for years, or at least it's seemed that way. Things haven't been the same ever since she came back from that promotional tour in Australia in 2002 with Vince.
  22. No. The appreciative chants bug me more than the insulting ones. "Match Of The Year", "This Match Rules" ... stuff like that sucks and is more of a reminder that it's fake than anything the wrestlers are doing at that moment.
  23. The product has changed. But fans aren't blameless.
  24. Under WWE's strange moral code, you're more likely to burn a bridge if you jump to the competition than you are if you beat women.
