Loving this thread...I have seen those discs as well as some other stuff here and there I grabbed...

AWA wise, I'd say the High FLyers were the closest thing to a BJ babyface in that whole territory...

Greg Gagne and Jim Brunzell…jesus christ what they had in wrestling skill they lost in BUCKETS in looks... Steve Kerin…seriously, in the Fabs to be taken as a BJ type guy? Fuck that….but Jackie Fargo put them together and that was one seriously goofy lookin dude as well…different era maybe, but ugly is ugly…period.

What I find fascinating about Russo is that he NEVER changed his style, even when things were going bad, getting worse, and NEVER improving in terms of getting more fans or TV viewers in WCW OR TNA. Someone had to say things to him about things not going right or just not being good….Was he that into his own ideas that he didn't see what wasn't happening around him in ratings or popularity or did he think if he kept trying it would work? I just never understood how he used the same philosophy over and over with no results outside the WWF years, where he didn't do it as the head. The only time I ever found him even kind of good was in 2003 TNA…..but even that got old..

Main Event - I'd say Steiners vs. MVC - It was the first "BIG" American match between them that everyone could see, since the Clash match was a few days later and setup the Tournament match to be more important...WHY THE FUCK that wasn't a Semi-Final or Final match at the 92 Bash tourney blows my mind... This PPV is one of the best, but most forgotten, PPV"s ever. With the Clash right after it and then the GAB mere weeks later, this PPV was kind of "there" and gone.. But its a GREAT show with great matches.....

4/13 was definitely the date WWF finally won... Thanks for the info on the WCW dates......makes sense.

Looking at the old DDT Digests, the NItro's were on those Monday's for 4/28 - 5/5 - 5/12... Didnt say anything about different times though...or for WWF.

Was looking around at the ratings from 1997 for RAW and Nitro as I had nothing better to do this AM while I sit here at work alone and wait for my new script to build or others to show up.... I noticed on 3 or 4 different sites that RAW beat Nitro in the end of April 1997 weeks and then the first few weeks of May 97 as well. This would cut Nitro's total weeks led consecutively in half.. Have ratings changes been made over the years or what am I missing here? LOL....nice, yeah, you are probably right... Its the ONLY thing he did I liked...I am a HUGE fan of all things NWO, but this one could have been special, with the 5 guys they had vs. WCW.... WarGames 2000 coulda been NWO 2000 vs Goldy / Sid / Benoit / Sting / Booker T Not too shabby in my opinion. Has anyone every fantasy booked this angle if everyone stayed healthy? Are there any of the fantasy games that have a WCW in 2000 scenario?

What were the plans for the NWO Silver and Black in early 2000 IF Bret doesnt get hurt and Goldberg doesnt destroy his arm / Hall does what Hall does? Always wondered what could have been? I still think that COULD have been good. Anyone wiht more info know the original plans?

If they would have stayed the course they could have had main event level big time matches for Starrcade that year....oh well, good ole WCW...

Was fuckin around on the interwebs tonight and found something interesting written by a user stating that Bret Hart wasnt used right away by Bischoff as he was waiting until he really needed him to put him in the spotlight, once the WWF got closer in ratings as they were beginning to do in early '98. He goes on to further state that after April 20, 1998 when Hart comes in and helps Hogan win the WCW Title from Savage by knocking out Kevin Nash and pulling Hogan on top of Savage, that the idea was that they would start there and work their way through 98 to a Hart vs. Hogan Match at Starrcade '98, with Hart at first aligning with Hogan, then obviously splitting and going after him, with part of his thing being that he helped Hogan win, and deserved a shot at the title, or at least at Hogan... Any truth to this at all? I am guessing no as it makes too much sense as something good they could have done during the second half of 98 when the Main Event was beginning to dive due to dumb shit happening. That and the fact I've NEVER seen it anywhere else (does Bret mention it in his book? I dont remember). If its true, where did it change and why? Guessing Hogan would have stopped it, but that is just speculation... Hogan / Hart feud along with Goldberg's rise and eventual feud with Nash could have kept things MUCH better in WCW for a while longer...
