I dunno, did they did WWE do this with regards to MMA? It was never in the newsletter.

I still have no idea what he's saying.

That's the most gramatically confusing thing I've ever seen Dave Meltzer write. Somebody translate, please.

I once had a girl Or should I say, she once had me She showed me her room Isn't it good Norwegian food She asked my to stay and told me sit anywhere So I looked around and I noticed there wasn't a chair I sat on a rug, biding my time Drinking her wine We talked until two, and then she said: "It's time for bed," She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh I told her I didn't, and crawled off to sleep in the bath And when I awoke, I was alone This bird has flown So I lit a fire Isn't it good Norwegian food

Three UWFi Shootwrestling PPVs and a few Pancrase PPVs. The Pancrase PPVs were done by SEG and tied in with UFC.

Who DOESN'T know they're together? I can't see it being that.

I could give a really obvious answer as to who the best heel in the business is but someone might accuse me of bias, and we can't have that. That said, Del Rio is still a better heel than AN ACTUAL FUCKING PERSON WHO HAPPENS TO BE A DICK BEING HIMSELF.

I talked to someone pretty recently who was able to get a wildfeed of Raw on a KU Band dish, and the files released on the torrent sites are labeled as HDTV rips. I don't think someone in WWE would be a member of a capture group with this of all things being the only "special" release.. Plus, the release wasn't labelled as having Dunn's feed. It was pointed out in the comments and a "proper" rip was released by others later on, presumably from a cable or consumer dish rip. It probably went out on an unencrypted feed and the capper wasn't paying much attention.

Oh, I know, just pointing it out. That said, I don't think Dave would make it up, and he's made it clear what the paid (75,700) vs turnstile (78,300) was. Is it possible that the number was worked down internally for some reason? I guess, and it's at least a little weird that they're both nice round numbers while the "worked" number isn't.
-
I'm pretty sure that Dave has said at one point or another that the Lions and Super Bowl attendance figures were worked.

Pre-'70s there's still Pedro Morales (WWA), Dick Beyer (WWA), Mad Dog Vachon (AWA), and Mark Lewin (WWA).

I honestly didn't expect Vince to poop on a Blumenthal banner.

I was re-reading part of "Chris and Nancy," and there's a transcript of Vince's speech at the beginning of the tribute. He made a reference to "the authorities."

In the past on Wrestling Classics this was certainly true, but that isn't really the case anymore. He's certainly not 'above the fray' on the f4w board. It's too bad most of his time is spent battling with obvious trolls. I wish they would start a new Observer forum and plug it in the newsletter, instead of it being a continuation of the F4W one. I guess the end result would probably be the same, but I always thought an Observer forum would be pretty cool. I can only handle the current one by having about 27 people on my foe list. I've only been on the board a few times, and there's definitely some trolls afoot, but it doesn't help that Bryan doesn't seem to be able to handle criticism AT ALL. Even during episodes of Observer Live if Dave tries to correct him on something, Bryan will try to no-sell it as long as possible before Dave usually has to cut him off in order to say what he's trying to say. It sort of sets the tone of a forum when one of the people in charge is more or less antagonistic towards the group in large.

On top of that, while it is technically part of Great Britain, and people from Belfast are technically British, do not ever tell them that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Troubles Or, for an oversimplified version, . He actually was billed as being from "Belfast, Northern Ireland". Actually, for much (if not all) of his WWE run, they said "Belfast, Ireland."

What I mean is that I don't recall what caused Bischoff to go off to that degree but I doubt it was talking about Hennig thing because Hennig was slurring his words during his promo and fell down on camera. There was a lot of discussion about it online in the week or so after it happened. This was also at least a year and a half before Bischoff gave that interview.
-
Can't be that, Hennig fell down on camera and was clearly drunk during his promo.

You're forgetting the promotional description of Cabana's WWE.com talk show which was basically "Oy gevalt! Shmear some cream cheese on a bagel with lox! JEW! JEW!"
-
Leslie Floyd Creatchman too. EVIL JEW LAWYER!

I'm shocked they didn't send her to Harley Race's school first as they often do. It's kinda creepy.

He was very good but the least of the four.

Awesome. Totally awesome.

They announced Bas Rutten for the 2nd one but I don't recall hearing anything since then.

http://www.cagesideseats.com/2010/10/15/17...place-a-top-guy Any old sheet readers (or people with Torch pay site accounts if stuff from the period is there) know what exactly was up with The Pearl besides the obvious (need new Muta, use undercard guy who can do moonsault, pretend it never happened when it bombs)? There's nothing I can find in the WONs from the period.
