  1. Also, WWE knowing it was a murder/suicide as soon as they went public sort of indicates that someone's (Kevin Dunn?) brain went to Phil Hartman and decided that the odds were Nancy did it, and thus she was largely ignored during the show.
  2. Annnnnnnnnnnd WWE's "WE DIDN'T KNOW!" excuse is shot to hell as the local reporter on MSNBC just noted that the cops told her at 6-7ish last night that it was a murder/suicide.
  3. Looking back at the show, I get the feeling that someone in the inner circle (Vince McMahon? Kevin Dunn?) sincerely believed Nancy did it and that's why she was barely mentioned until Lawler basically said "Y'know, Nancy and their kid died, too" at the end.
  4. From WWE's policy: If you have a "valid prescription" from your "primary care doctor," (which seems to just mean "no internet prescriptions"), then the failure is thrown out. IOC/WADA failure is either 4 or 6.
  5. Umm, holy shit.
  6. ECW & SD will be just matches with the announcers explaining the situation at the start of the show.
  7. The HGH use could be totally legit, but who knows?
  8. WWE w/ a new, really ill-advised press release.
  9. I hate Bob Ryder. The doctor on Fox News said otherwise. Or, if you want to rigidly define "roid rage," then it was roid-induced insanity. "ZOMGZ SUM1 ELSE DID IT!" This I can believe a little bit.
  10. Well... other than their going into overdrive around the press conference about Roid Rage. I'm not saying that they might have played a role. But became the focus of their post press conference. While there should be more attention paid to the possibility of head injurys playing a part, they got an expert who clarified how roid rage works, and, well, that'll prove useful on message boards at least.
  11. Meanwhile, the weirdness of FOX NEWS of all outlets having the most comprehensive and even-handed coverage of this is mindblowing.

  13. Depending one what shape Benoit's brain is in (in the literal physical & chemical sense) and how his internal organs look, this could very well be a breaking point Re: concussions & steroids. One of the guy's favorite spots WAS repeated legit headbutts.
  14. Based on whatever instruments they have and the lividity of the bodies.
  15. http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/story?id=3315501&page=1 Not good. EDIT: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,286673,00.html Worse.
  16. http://www.pwtorch.com/artman/publish/article_20622.shtml http://www.ajc.com/news/content/metro/faye...0625benoit.html Fuck you, Wade.
  17. The Raw taping is cancelled. Presumably, Vince et al will do stuff from backstage in between beaming old clips from Titan Towers.
  18. Torch is the first of the news sites to go there:
  19. PWInsider seems to confirm Ryder's report:
  20. From 1Wrestling, and I seriously have no idea at this point whether he was ever in Houston for the PPV:
  21. http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/h...t.asp?aID=20000 There are no words.
  22. Bix

    Boxing Observer?

This is somewhat related: Dave hates it when people lump MMA with other stuff for awards.
  23. For me it's the "sweaty" criticism, which is completely ridiculous in the first place and started after the race-baiting "stank" promos.
  24. Define sloppy. Fat, sweaty, black. Well, Khali IS sweaty, but I don't know about fat or black. I should've put an "and/or" in there. The latent racism is really the best/worst part of Mark Henry discussions.
  25. TNA is much more of a group effort booking/creative-wise than WWE.
