  3. I loved the match as well. The finish with the instant replay was stupid though. Other than that it was a well worked match. One of the top 10 matches of 1988 in the NWA.
  4. another Project and Lists access request please. PM'd you. -- Loss, 01/29
  5. I get this at night sometimes also.
  6. I love the club. I wish I could participate more. If I wasn't spending so much time on the Mid-South project I would be able to watch and discuss the matches. Their are a lot of gems on them.
  7. On a recent Fig 4 Podcast of the Bryan and Vinny show they were discussing the stips for the upcoming main event between HBK and Orton. Vinny thought Michaels had been reading DVDVR and wanted to prove he did other things besides the superkick. Vinny made the claim that someone on DVDVR said that all HBK could do was superkick.Alvarez thought this was impossible, and that their was no way Michaels read DVDVR. This was actually pretty funny.
  8. Oh boy. In one of the WWE books has anybody mentioned they were haveing a "physical" relationship with a co-worker? I know all about the Hardy,Edge, and Lita stuff. This makes Morrison look like a big pussy; and that no rules apply to Dave.
  9. I thought this match was awesome. It was by far my favorite of the 3 that I have seen between the 2. I loved the opening 10 minutes or so. Taylor was great at going after the arm, and Flair was great at feeding it to him, but escaping and allowing Taylor to one up him by ending back up in an arm lock. I was digging the amateur escape and reversals on the mat between the 2. A really neat spot was Flair using Taylor's momentum againt him and tossing him outside. I thought it was neat how Flair kept the ropes open, and then wham nailed him with a chop as soon as he gets back in the ring. I thought Flair's heel schtick was good when he had control. Both guys worked the leg well. That spot where Tayor gets his leg caught in the rope and Flair stomps the shit out of it was brilliant. I thought the guys worked to a great finish. The match just built and built and built; and the crowd was going nuts. Just an awesome match.
  10. The payoff here was gold.
  11. This was cheesy good. It's amazing how much heat they allowed Rude to get on Steamboat. With this, and the breaking of Steamer's nose. Steamboat was super hot when he got to WcW in November of 91. I feel his program with Rude really cooled him off. Plus the booking of him stalking Madusa didn't help matters either.
  12. I wouldn't be opposed to one Final run for Flair. Is Flair as good as he once was? No he's not, but he still has some stuff he can bring to the table. With the shit storm the WWE is going through right now, I think one last Flair run would be a nice feel good moment for the fans and for Flair.

    WWE's coming fall

I keep waiting for Vince to roll out The Body Jesse Ventura to show congress that wrestling also produces Politicians, not just people dieing young from steroids.
  14. I always thought Austin's run in WcW was pretty solid. He got to hold the T.V, U.S, and tag team belts when they still meant something. Every year that he was there his in ring work seemed to improve. He just never broke through that glass ceiling there.
  15. She wants to be famous. That's probaly why she is getting into it. Sure it's a minor celebrity status, plus she'll get a decent paycheck. That is my guess for her motivation.
  16. I just read this in the latest Observer. Meltzer says she has a striking resemblence to EcW Kelly.
  17. Here's another Nash one. Nash becomes booker. He does the bannana peel finish for Misterio. He uses this as example that he the booker does jobs so the rest of the boys should do business. He eventually takes Rey's mask rendering him Mini Konnan and then putting himself over Goldberg to end his streak. He conned a lot of the other wrestlers that he the biggest of the big would do jobs for the smallest of the small. Reality was that he put himself over even more in the end.

  20. I've been watching GH's Finlay comp and it has been really fun. His matches with Tony St. Clair were just fantastic. He was also great at meshing different styles. Fit had some awesome matches in Europe with the American workers. I really enjoyed how he meshed the styles with Armstrong where you had a great southern babyface selling for Fit's snugg offense mixed in with some awesome psychology. Another great one in Europe where Fit just meshed the styles was where he worked Scorpio. It seemed like a BW Scorpio match from the coc. Finlay just came across just as an awesome worker. Inctedible job with the set Will.
  21. This was just a fantastic match. All the stuff both guys did as Lou Thesz would say held water. I mean everything they did seemed legit. The work was snugg and believable. Dynamie's knee drop looked like it caved in Rollerball's nose. Fun stuff.
  22. This was a really great skit. I loved how Poffo challenged Hogan to try the same dives but w/o the water was great. I remember as a kid just loving these skits, and I still do.
  23. I think Bix's line of Johnny Nitro is Buddy Rose with abs was an all time great line.
  24. On Alvarez's Fig-4 podcast he claims their was a photo of Benoit at his Doctor's office the day before the murders wearing a Bruiser Brody t-shirt. It doesn't mean anything, but creepy none the less. He also claimed that he read comments from Benoit's Dad on the situation. He was obviously horrified by the situation; but didn't quote anything that he read.
