Michinoku Pro fully expects to end 1995 on a high note, and to make 1996 by far the biggest year in the history of North East Wrestling.

Michinoku Pro takes "Biff" Wellington Wilkins Jr. And with that, our draft is over and our initial roster is set.
-
The great thing about ESPN is that they break down their ratings, so we can see that someone actually believes the Cena vs. AJ match had perfect storytelling, psychology, and timing. It's kind of beautiful, in a jolie laide way.
-
I think that might be the best example pro wrestling has to offer of a Closterman-style nemesis relationship. Good call.
-
I'm invoking the 10-hour rule on NJPW, and taking Mach "Miracle Man" Hayato (whom I doubt NJPW had their eye on anyway)
-
The three matches I'd most like to see are Randy Savage vs. Terry Gordy (in round 2), Dusty Rhodes vs. Kerry Von Erich (round 3) and, largely because it's the Johnny Rougeau Memorial, Jacques vs. Raymond (round 3).

Nakagawa working the Hitman gimmick is delightful. Love to watch that guy.

Three announcements from Michinoku Pro Wrestling: 1) On the 25th of September, in Akita, the first-ever Tohuku Region Welterweight Champion will be crowned. (note: "in real life" this was the date and place that Sasuke won the UWF Super Welterweight title). There will be a one-night 4-wrestler tournament, with the winner being declared champion. 1) Joshi Puroresu representative vs. Shiro Koshinaka - Tournament Alternate match 2) El Samurai vs. Super Delfin - Tournament round 1 match 3) The Great Sasuke vs. X - Tournament round 1 match 4) TAKA Michinoku, Dick Togo, Jado and Gedo vs. Gran Naniwa, Sho Funaki, Shiryu, and Yakushiji *break* 5) Kuniyaki Kobayashi, Norman Smiley, and Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Lance Storm, Masaaki Mochizuki, and X 6) Tournament Finals Match, winner to be declared the first-ever Tohoku Region Welterweight Champion 2) On October 10, 1995, at the Appi Ski Resort Convention Hall Michinoku Pro Wrestling will celebrate their Second Anniversary with a major show, including the first defense of the Tohuku Region Welterweight Championship. 3) In November, the Futaritabi Tag League will be replaced by the Tohoku Region Trios Tournament. Man, I can think of angles for Hayabusa, Jinsei Shinzaki (duh), Ricky Fuji, La Parka, Hanzo, and Matsunaga in M-Pro. They's all get put over, or at least made to look good in losing. Or we could send six guys over to do a "Michinoku Pro Offer Match" on one of your big shows... I could see Funaki or Smiley doing jobs on the UWFi undercard or working a BattleArts kinda deal with, say, Ishikawa, and Otsuka, Ikeda and Matsunaga, and Mochizuki, and TAKA in some combination... endless possibilities for when we wanna spice things up or put on a big show or even maybe some day run a joint show in Tokyo or Osaka...
-
Nice! We can hopefully have talent exchanges and so forth. I think elliot, Grimmas, and I can work together something like how BattleArts, FMW, and M-Pro worked together in the "real world" universe (i.e. once in a while and almost always to good effect). I was hoping to tag Orihara and Ono up as Sasuke the Great and Masked Tiger in the tag tournament. I had to jgrab Orihara in order to make a trios team of Great Sasuke, Great Kosuke, and Secret Sasuke down the line.

"Do you expect me to talk?" "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to take a Vertical Drop Brain-buster followed by an Everest German Suplex followed by a Backdrop Driver followed by a Northern Lights Bomb followed by a whole lot of Roundhouse kicks, and then tap out to a Fujiwara arm bar."
-
And, being the next Japanese promotion in line, Michinoku Pro likewise leapfrogs the various pokey-toes American promotions to select Masao "Secret Sasuke" Orihara

M-Pro selects Combat Toyoda

Let me know if you need to borrow this:
-
Is there any connection between him and Rusher Kimura? It's a great nickname for him. I also think, for totally different reasons, it could fit this guy as well:
-
Happy Birthday, Dick Togo!
-
Michinoku Pro jumps ahead of the American promotions to create a Heisei Ishingun reunion: Kuniaki Kobayashi is coming to Michinoku!
-
Yeah, I guess Kojima would be coming into M-Pro off his '94 Young Lion Cup win/stint in Europe as Joe-Joe Lee. In M-Pro he'll be encouraged to develop his funny/entertaining side as much as possible.
-
Not to get all Barry Horowitz on myself, but I'm pretty pleased to get my two Heavyweight base wrestlers, Shiro Koshinaka and Satoshi "The Great Kosuke" Kojima in rounds 14 and 15. I figured I'd just take the two best not-too-big, comedy-capable HWs available once I'd filled out my top-16-available-Juniors roster. If nobody suitable was available, I would have just stuck with 100 per cent Juniors. Never expected to get two quality guys like this.
-
That frees M-Pro to add a second Heavyweight base, that well-known Sasuke immitator: Satoshi "The Great Kosuke" Kojima!
-
He's amazing live. The crowd goes crazy for his hip attacks.
-
Ass-based offence is coming to Michinoku Pro!!

Psicosis vs Rey! Psicosis vs. Owen! Noice pick for ECW!
