The commentary is really annoying in this with Debbie giving short answers. Stiff match and Bison takes a beating. It was entertaining on Mute.

I don't get why they ran this match twice in so few days? The Clash match was better but this is good too. -
I think my favorite thing about the match is the beginning with Steamboat basically using Richie as a pawn. That's some smart shit. Outstanding match.

Someone else owns the TV and trademarks for AAA in the US. It's the reason they can't tour the US. I think it's the Viva La Lucha guys that own it. -
I think what made this beloved was Sting going bump for bump with Cactus. That Stinger splash into the guardrail was brutal. I liked the match. Made me a Sting fan.

Madusa looks like she just walked off the set of a Poison Music video. Got a laugh out of Jesse complimenting Nikita's hair style.

Where's Baba Booey? I'm pretty sure Fred paid to be in this angle since he's a huge wrestling fan. I remember when he was on Stern with Cactus Jack around this time. Loved this angle and it's too bad this was the end of it.

I agree that this is just great but it's very TNA of them to air this fresh match on free tv.

Don't forget, no padding on the outside. The announcer sure won't let you forget. I really liked Wellington here. He's a better Dynamite Kid clone than Benoit.

Before the interview is a commercial for the Bruise Cruise. I'm surprised that Bill Watts went through with that.

Lance Russell on WCW tv 92? Did he even do commentary at the time? I think he was just doing the hotline. I also like the only footage of Bagwell they show is him botching a dropkick.

Maybe this will be better on a rewatch but I didn't like it too much. Had a kind of a slow start. Austin's rolling shoulder block into the corner miss was pretty nice. I don't remember him ever doing that.

Gotta agree the match isn't very good. It seems the best SMW matches are handhelds. I do like Paul Orndorff piledriving dudes. That never gets old.

This isn't as bad as when they brought in a Ultimate Warrior clone and even tried to pass him off as the Warrior even though he was about 225 pounds.

That WBF commercial is something else. Does any footage of the WBF shows exist? They should have aired that on Donahue.

I'm a big fan of early days AAA so I liked this. The crowd was pretty hot for the tecnicos and almost looked like they wanted to riot in the 2nd fall. Panther and Fishman don't do much but Octagon and Santo were awesome. Especially Octagon who looked motivated in his new place. I've been watching a lot of 1992 CMLL lately from discs I got from Fredo and the difference between CMLL and AAA is like night and day at the time. Looking forward to seeing more AAA matches from 92.

I would have liked this more if they actually sold the weakend body parts for more than 1 fall. For example, Barry spends about 10+ minutes going after Arn's arm but by the 2nd fall, Arn's arm seems to be fine. Same thing with Barry's back in the 3rd. If his back was so injured like Ross put over on commentary, why would Barry go for the superplex. Plus the finish was just a cop out. I wasn't feeling this match too much.

Some good storytelling by the King. It's not included here but Gilbert's reaction to this interview is awesome. Basically calls Missy a tramp.

"I AM NUMBER 6 IN THE WORLD!!!" Don't know if that's something to be proud of Eddie. Loved that they cut him off before he was finished.

Gene's acting ability here is about as good as when he was a heel in 2000. Funny stuff.
