  1. So change it from DVRing RAW to downloading RAW the next day off of a torrent site. Now it's illegal. I think the point still stands. People used to stream all the PPVs every month illegally. A lot of them still do. Now people stream the WWE Network. Especially in other countries. At least with the WWE Network, they're getting $10 a month from some customers that they used to get $0 from just for the convenience of a working feed for the PPV each month. Granted that's at the cost of PPV going from $40 to $10 or whatever the drop was.
  2. I really think it was silly launching without the Nitros already on there, honestly. I guess they wanted to save that for the people to re-subscribe but to me, that's a big draw. Especially the Monday Night Wars era where I know I missed stuff because I was watching one show over the other.
  3. One of the big things that I still love about buying music is the awesome stuff you get when you buy the tangible copy. Digital music is great if you just want to hear a single, or make a workout/driving comp. or whatever. When I want to enjoy the music though, part of the appeal to me is putting the music on. I've just recently gotten into buying vinyl. Going through the old records at music shops & hunting for records I want is a big part of the appeal. All the cover art & inserts in the albums really makes it feel special. I love professional wrestling as I have watched it for pretty much my entire life. I still follow it quite closely & it's a big part of my daily life but I've never felt that real connection to wrestling if I'm not at a live show. Just watching shows on my computer feels like just listening to mp3s at the gym or in a car. I like the idea Loss suggested with a tiered subscription. When the music industry took a real big hit to sales because of digital distribution, some artists tried to combat that by giving perks inside of their physical copies of music. Like exclusive bumper stickers or whatever miscellaneous schwag. It would be cool if, as part of a tiered WWE Network subscription you could, in example, get the monthly PPV poster shipped to your mailing address.
  4. My big issue with the WWE Network is who is the target audience? The big draw I see is for current, upcoming PPVs & all past PPVs. Personally, I've seen all the past PPVs, when they happened. The current PPVs for $10 is a nice QOL improvement from having to d/l the day after or find a (low quality) stream. It seems like a lot of current Network subscribers are people that were already watching everything online anyway. Do fans of the current product clamor to see past PPVs? Do people in other regions not just stream the Network now via watching online Streams like we used to do with PPVs? I guess I just don't see a whole lot of growth potential but then again, I don't know anything about business. The number can't realistically go down by opening it up to the planet, I would assume but that's going to cost a lot more money to make happen, right?

Yeah, nothing worse than the Wrestling Observer reporting on non-wrestling stuff to me. But I know it's part of the show now, so I just avoid it altogether. I still don't believe in this magically, ficticious world of cross-over appeal between wrestling & MMA. Also wouldn't be surprised to see women from Total Divas get the axe. I assume they have some episodes in the can already. If not, they can just put another girl in there. Women like Rosa, Cameron & that don't really add anything at all to WWE.

I thought he already got fired with the mass layoffs last time?

No, CJ Parker has some new "save the Earth" hippie heel gimmick. He got rid of the Van Hammer hippie gimmick & now walks around the crowd with signs like "There is no Planet B" & shit. He's also still awful in the ring.

Last few times I've seen Mojo he was just put in the jobber role of squash matches, namely to Tyler Breeze whom is the #1 contender. Graves' career is over apparently, after having another concussion. I think they dropped the whole "jig" part of Knox after the first week. Neville is still there, still the champ & still kind of boring. No Crow that I've seen yet or remember. They put Aiden English with Simon Gotch as "The Vaudevillains" & their entrance/gimmick is pretty fun. Ascension is still tag champs.

Do you watch NXT at all? It's a fun, weekly hour of TV too. Tyson Kidd has been on there quite a bit lately. Along with the ex El Generico & some other fun stuff.

I liked Night 4 the most so far. Have yet to watch Night 5. Tomoaki Honma has been a great substitution for Ibushi & I can't imagine him not being in the tournament.
  11. Does Haku/Meng have a body of work worthy of an HOF induction?

I think the Dust Brothers have been pretty much the best non-Titus O'Neill thing going in the WWE for the past couple of months. They haven't done anything in a month. I concede, when the bell rings, they're good. Goldust obviously being better. My problem is all the out of ring stuff. These "comedy" vignettes & whatnot. Stardust just looks like a moron. I guess I don't "get it."

I don't want this Stardust wrestlecrap going any further, that's for sure.

I am not a fan of how this show is building to a showdown between Stephanie McMahon & Brie Bella. That should not be a focal point of the road to Summerslam. EDIT: I guess I'm out of touch. The crowd ate it up.
  16. Which was admittedly better than midgets beating off in trash cans, cage dancing strippers, The Dupps, etc.
  17. Is "none" not an option?
  18. To me, Jeff Jarrett has always pretty much sucked. TNA certainly wasn't anything special when he was around. Why would I have faith in him to do any better with Karen Angle by his side? Same as when I heard news about Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins wanting to get into pro-wrestling. That's great, but why would I watch? What's the hook? Just indie name guys & expecting them to put on good matches? What is going to make it better than NXT?

WWE have a lot of guys on their roster right now that I really dig. My problem as a fan and a viewer is they keep putting the people I care about & want to get behind in the ring with people I don't care about nor want to see. Granted, I doubt many of us here are what WWE would consider normal, everyday fans. I haven't been to a live event in years, in example. I do have WWE Network but before the Network, I'm not sure what the last WWE PPV that I paid full price for was. I certainly don't go on the website & order merchandise. I am curious if that's a mentality that other fans would have though. Like, I'm never, ever going to care about Randy Orton, The Big Show, Kane, etc. ever again...but they don't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. If I were a big Roman Reigns fan, a feud with Randy Orton is exactly the sort of thing that would make me not care about him anymore. A guy being pushed as the next great main eventer, that only has four moves, and you're going to put him in a feud with a guy, that will probably last three PPVs in a row, that does nothing but headlocks. Complete apathy. At this point, in WWE, it feels like there's only a few ways to get looked at as if you're a big deal: squash people the caliber of Orton, beat John Cena or put on great matches. Instead, you're more likely to trade wins with Orton/Jericho, lose to Cena & if you put on great matches, you'll get cheered like Dolph but it doesn't mean WWE will ever care.
  20. Foley getting thrown off the Cell, Snuka's top of the Cage Splash & The Rockers break-up are all good inclusions. So is the towel being thrown in for the Sheik/Backlund match. Maybe something TLC related, with Jeff Hardy jumping/falling off something high?
  21. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin hitting the first "Stunner" on Vince McMahon, maybe? Or maybe the Austin 3:16 promo. Austin & The Rock are the two biggest stars along with Hogan, so they both have to be involved some how, I'm sure.
  22. Reading all the news about this & replies on various wrestling forums, this is one of the most fun days I've ever had on the internet. I can't stop smiling! Just losing my shit. I'm legitimately happy about this news. I don't know if that's terrible or not but that's honestly how I feel. TNA is so far beneath WWE that I don't think it would happen, but if Steph or Triple H threw in a random, off hand throwaway comment tonight shitting on TNA that would be the grand finale to this knee-slapper of a day.

I hated Day 2 & thought it was super overrated, even by a few people here in this thread on this site. Not that Day 1 was anything great but at least it had matches I cared about. Getting ready to watch Day 3 & the bar isn't real high, so hopefully it's better. Okada Vs. Makabe should be good. One of the matches of the tournament I'm anticipating.
  24. Kinda think this is where he's going to be anyway, honestly. Or he'll get turned into a Seth Rogan comedy character. I guess I just don't have a lot of faith in Sami Zayn on the main roster. Do people see him in NXT right now & think "this guy has RAW main eventer all over him." I just don't see it. Of course, I didn't see it with Punk or Bryan either & they proved me wrong. I've been wrong before, I'll be wrong again...but I still think the odds of being a Paul London are better than being a C.M. Punk.
  25. Kids also don't have any money and the marquee shows (RAW and PPVs) are both on school nights. So they have to talk their parents into letting them watch the violent show, stay up past bedtime AND spend money...
