  1. The constant camera zooms in-and-out are driving me absolutely bonkers. They even did it on chairs shots...
  2. An "Enjoy Orton Vs. Cena match #121" sign & the camera man zooms in on it...
  3. I liked the tag match the most so far. Not really saying too much but the end half was fun. Even if not terriby original compared to other Uso matches. Goldust working most the match helped. I did like the new blue added to Cody's outfit. So I'll give him that! The Rhodes Bros. didn't work that match like heels at all though.
  4. I...don't disagree with this. The feat of strength superplex spot by Cesaro was great...but the running knee & missile dropkick by Brie were also great.
  5. First fall was not fine. The matwork was sloppy as hell then they did the 2005 2-count near fall spot, then a giant swing which got Cesaro pinned. It was terrible. Let's call a spade a spade.
  6. Dolph/Cesaro is a disaster so far. EDIT: Tiger Bomb was gross. EDIT2: Cesaro is a freak of nature. First fall sucked. Second fall was better. Shame there wasn't a third. JBL is the drizzling shits.
  7. If anything, I think Goldust was better as a heel than a babyface. His early Goldust stuff was great.
  8. I still think that Randy Orton Vs. John Cena for the #1 Contendership is going on last. Which make me think that I hope no one tells Ambrose/Rollins what they can & can't do for fear of upstaging the main event. In fact, I fully expect that match to end in BS Authority crap with Kane. Where is the show at tonight? I really hope I'm wrong with Cena going on last but I hope the crowd shits all over that match anyway, no matter where it's at on the card.
  9. Glad the thread is made early so we can share thoughts before the show starts. On paper, there's three matches that I care about: Ambrose/Rollins, Cesaro/Dolph & Rusev/Big Show. I realize not a lot of people will be anticipating the Show/Rusev match but I really like Rusev, think Lana is doing good work & think Big Show is a little underrated. I do expect a Mark Henry heel turn again for no reason which could dump on everything. I like Rusev just winning clean to make him a bigger deal but I don't think that will happen. Ambrose/Rollins will be hurt by if it has to go on before Orton/Cena or not. We'll see. Cesaro/Dolph is dependant on how much time they get & how sloppy they are. If things are crisp and they get 15-20, they could steal the show. Usos Vs. Rhodes could be good too but I hate the Star Dust gimmick & think it's super cringe-worthy plus the match feels dated. It's not fresh to me. AJ/Paige should have died months ago. Same with Brie/Nikki. Don't care about anything Miz does. Maybe the Wyatts do something tonight to go with the vignettes that have been running lately? I don't really care who wins each match, just hope for an entertaining show...but my TV will be on the Packers game anyway while the PPV is on my PC on the Network, so if something is bland/boring/dull/sucks, I'll be paying more attention to the game anyway.

I assume a Facebreaker would be the X-Factor that X-Pac used to use as a finish. Dolph Ziggler still uses it today.

Isn't Billy Jack a batshit insane conspiracy theorist nowadays? I remember him having some ridiculous, off-the-wall shoot...

The one thing that Dolph is pretty good at, bumping, he does to such an over-exaggerated degree that it becomes a joke. Like a business exposing "holy shit that was corny" joke. He has never been a good seller & I think a lot of people confuse the two: bumping & selling. He is definitely overrated in some corners of the internet.
  13. That's pretty early! That's twenty years ago & pre-Hogan. Admittedly, it's not early days of the company though. Poor choice of words on my part. Still, it is insane to me to think of 1994 as being twenty years ago. Man, where does the time go!?

Watch the 2014 Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View match between The Wyatt Family & The Shield. It's going to win Match of the Year. If you still don't like either after that, then you never will.

I watched the show last night. First RAW I have watched in close to two months, I think. I did not feel like anything had changed. It was Big E. Vs. Rusev in a match which was the feud I remembered Rusev already having. Main event was John Cena & Randy Orton shenanigans. Same match we've had for ten years. The midcard is all interchangeable, pretty much, but why am I supposed to care about Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro or The Miz? They're just there. They have no goals or motivations. Wins and losses don't matter. What bothered me the most though, was the Dean Ambrose & John Cena stuff. I didn't see the Contract on a Pole match live but I did see the replays they showed. So John Cena & Dean Ambrose have a match where the winner gets to wrestle Seth Rollins inside a Hell in a Cell. The loser, however, gets to wrestle Randy Orton in a Hell in a Cell & the Randy Orton match is a #1 Contender's Match now? So Randy Orton does nothing & gets a #1 Contenders Match and the LOSER of the contract match gets a #1 Contender's Match? That does not make any sense whatsoever. I suppose the idea is supposed to be that it was Seth's idea, thinking that Orton might win, so that Orton can fight Brock and win or loss Seth can cash-in. That scenario still plays out the same if it's John Cena though...as we saw at the last PPV when Seth Curbstomped Brock. Orton hits the RKO on Heyman to plant the seeds for Orton/Brock. Seth hits the Curbstomp on Orton to plant the seeds for Rollins/Orton. Yet Cena will probably just win anyway. lol.
  16. One of those early shows, Jimmy Garvin comes back (with all of his hair chopped off) & wrestles for the "injured" Michael Hayes against Johnny B. Badd. The feud between Badd & Hayes was over who had the better knockout punch or something. Anyway, I don't remember who wins the match (it doesn't really matter) but post match Garvin hits Badd with the 9-1-1, which was the "Stone Cold" Stunner years before I ever saw the Stunner. Which was kinda cool to me. :-)

I thought the PPV was tonight. Had no idea what the card was, so went to WWE.com to check. Turns out the PPV is still a week away. This is what happens when you stop watching the TV. I have no idea why some of those matches are happening & I'm not sure if I care. Ha! Anything that I need to know I pick up from reading here.
  18. I would have had Diamond Dallas Page end Goldberg's Streak at Halloween Havoc after reversing the Jackhammer into the Diamond Cutter. A big one that I have thought about a lot & that could probably be a good conversation: Make Tito Santana the top dog in WWF, instead of Bret Hart (and don't to the El Matador gimmick change) -- target the Hispanic fans instead of Canadian fans. Not that Bret wasn't good but I always wonder how it would have panned out differently. Without Bret on top, there's no Bret/Austin at 'Mania probably, no Montreal Screwjob, etc. Also, Brock Lesnar's Extreme Rules comeback match against John Cena he 100% most definitely should have won. Cena winning that match made zero fucking sense.
  19. Hulu getting involved with South Park Studios is what killed that website for me. Seeing WWE going in the direction of Hulu is worrisome for me. If they start showing commercials mid match on any show like it's RAW, then I will cancel. That's one of my least favorite things in all of pro-wrestling. That being said, commercials before a show starts isn't a big deal. If I get commercials every time I have to refresh because their stream freezes though, I will be irked.
  20. Still a Subscriber. I'm going back & watching WCW stuff. They really need to get Saturday Night on there. Trying to watch the shows in chronological order, it feels like you miss a lot. At least until the nWo takes over & Saturday Night becomes the B-show that is completely skippable. Also, they need to get the '97 & '98 Nitros on there sooner rather than later. If the WCW stuff wasn't there (I mean the Nitros, mostly) I probably would not have cared so much. I don't care about most of the old WWE stuff on there. I've seen the old WWE PPVs so many times (up to like 1995) that I don't care to see them anymore. The PPVs during the Attitude Era are all pretty much trash. And 2002-present all blends together. I can't differentiate one John Cena year from the next. It's still great for watching the current PPV though to stay caught up on the product, since I don't watch RAW anymore.
  21. 2005. Pretty sure that was the last live show I went to as well. The roster was awesome. Samoa Joe was on fire back then too. I also really liked the James Gibson run. I was a big fan of The Embassy, Austin Aries, a lot of people. They were stacked & fun back then. Samoa Joe Vs. Kenta Kobashi was huge for me.

Set to be back in December for the TLC PPV. Bryan and Reigns should be back at the exact same time. There's thought of delaying either of their returns until the Royal Rumble. Barrett will back at that same time frame too. RR would be a better idea, if just to give them more time to heal. So is he 100% now? I really thought, from what I was reading, that he might be finished. I never really got why people were thinking that. There were complications in his recovery but I never sensed a "he might be done" vibe in any of his interviews after the injury or any of the reports about him during that time. http://www.sescoops.com/exclusive-update-daniel-bryans-health-future-wwe/ Bryan is seeing no improvement with his arm. Backstage at Monday’s RAW from Atlanta, a lot of the talent was talking about the fact Bryan may be getting the “Tommy John Surgery" - ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) reconstruction, which is a surgical graft procedure in which the ulnar collateral ligament in the medial elbow is replaced with a tendon from elsewhere in the body”. The typical recovery for Tommy John Surgery is 6-12 months depending on the physical activity the athlete is involved in. It is still not known if he will ever wrestle again, as this injury, prevents him from being cleared to wrestle. WWE’s creative team is still working under the assumption that Bryan won’t be back in action any time soon and are not factoring him into any creative plans. Published On October 13, 2014

They can't get good press anyway. WWE will always be a laughing stock in the public eye that can't attract any real advertisers.
  24. My friend John & I have been re-watching WCW. We started with the first Nitro that is on the WWE Network, which was right after World War 3 at the end of 1995. We have watched all of the shows in order, including Nitro, Clash of the Champions & the various Pay-Per-Views. Shame that WCW Saturday Night isn't on there as it feels like sometimes we get holes in the continuity. Tonight we're watching WCW Uncensored 1996. Hogan & Savage in the DOOMSDAY CAGE~! against like 10 people is the main event. HA! I haven't watched RAW in almost two months. I don't miss it at all. It's just not as fun & was to the point where it would make me irrationally angry.
