  1. Another favorite moment of mine, that is often overlooked, is the handshake and hug between Tommy Dreamer and Raven. It took place right after Dreamer won the title from Taz (whom won it from Mike Awesome) and then Tommy immediately lost it to Justin Credible. I also marked out for the ECW return of the Sandman. I think that the Randy Savage and Elizabeth reuniting moment from Wrestlemania 7 takes the cake though.
  2. I came into the thread to say this also.
  3. They're just respectful. Hootin' and hollerin' is the work of drunk rednecks.
  4. The first match that I saw with Samoa Joe was against Low Ki. They just kept kicking each other with pretty stiff shots. Then Samoa Joe, eventually, just collapsed from behing exhausted. That was the finish pretty much. I was thinking "who the fuck is this jobber" Several months later he was my favorite wrestler.
  5. Eventually, you'll get tired of hearing the commentators call every single match a match of the year candidate.
  6. The commentators in Ring of Honor, from all that I've seen, seem to stay right on par with the commentating that took place in XPW. So, no.
  7. "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith Most of Steamboats memorable matches, outside of working Savage @ Wrestlemania III, came outside of WWF.
  8. Jake "The Snake" Roberts
  9. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine
  10. Bad News Brown The only thing I remember Sgt. Slaughter doing was becoming an Iraqi sympathizer and losing to Hogan at Wrestlemania. Most of his good shit came before '85. At least I assume. When he randomly still comes out to be the sympathetic, patriotic babyface in this day and age (like he did against Hassan & La R?sistance) it's a joke to me. "Bad News" had the Harlem Sewer Rats and double-crossed Bret in the battle royal with a "Ghetto Blaster." That's better than Sarge running around with Iron Shiek and Adnon only to get a legdrop.
  11. The Undertaker Sid never did shit and I loved "Deadman Inc." Not to mention The Undertaker has had a lot of overlooked gems and memorable moments. Especially as it pertains to Wrestlemania entrances.
  12. Christian Rey blows too many spots for my liking. Not only that but most of his memorable matches, at least to me, didn't come from WWE. They were in WCW & ECW. At least the good matches that he's been in that I've seen. I like Christian's gimmick matches. Almost all of the TLC matches are memorable. He takes good bumps too. I can't overlook his run with E&C either. That shit was gold. When Angle got thrown into the mix, it was even better!
  13. Diesel Jannetty never did anything on his own that is memorable. Well, he got thrown through the Barbershop window but that credit goes to HBK. At least Diesel had some singles matches and shit. A lot of them were terrible, much like his WWF run with the title, but he still did more than Marty.
  14. Bob Backund I'm sticking with Mr. Bob Backlund, damnit! I liked his run the second time around when he was slapping random people in the Crossface Chickenwing. Owen's best moment was getting clowned on by Jason Sensation and getting Bret's mom to throw in the towel on Bret in the submission match with Backlund. HAH!
  15. Razor Ramon I don't really think that I have to defend myself with this vote. I really enjoyed a lot of what Razor did. Especially his ladder matches with HBK. I thought that he made a terrific IC champion and he had a ton of natural charisma. He's better both in the ring and on the stick than Smash. Repo Man sucked.
