  1. "Macho Man" Randy Savage Vs. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase - Wrestlemania IV: I don't care what anyone says about 'Manias ending with a face going over to send the crowd home happy, DiBiase should've won. It would've been great to see a face chasing a heel for a change. At least a change at that time. Hogan was always the champion. Bam Bam Bigelow Vs. Lawrence Taylor - Wrestlemania XI: Obviously LT wasn't going to be around after the win and it could've really helped Bam Bam. Especially since it was in the main event slot (I think). Bam Bam could've been a big star in WWE again. Sting Vs. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan - Starrcade 1997?: This is basically what started the death of WCW. Two years of build-up or so, only for the heel to go over on a screw job.

  4. What's going on at that other forum? That dude has my sig. and randomly replied with word for word something I've said in the past....
  5. I hope Smackdown comes to USA too.
  6. Oh man, where do I even begin? At least as far as recent memory can recall, that was the worst Wrestlemania (WM) that I can remember. Granted, I don't believe that I watched Wrestlemania 2000 live and that was probably the last "bad" Wrestlemania. At least in my eyes. This show certainly wasn't anything special. Of course, a lot of people were saying that it "looked bad on paper" so I can't say that I'm surprised. It wasn't so much the match outcomes. It wasn't even the content of the matches themselves. It just seemed like everything went wrong. The Pay-Per-View (PPV) seemed to be running in fast-forward. The matches...just ended. Obviously Trish Vs. Christy & The Sumo Showdown were jokes but I knew heading into the PPV that they wouldn't be worth watching, let alone anything special. So, I just chalked them up to being previously acknowledged trash. At least the non-wrestling Christy Hemme didn't randomly win a title. I told you guys that Akebono wouldb't fly all the way around the globe to lay down at his "specialty" either. Sek said so as well. The commericals. My goodness, the commercials. WE'VE SEEN THEM! Holy crap, I swear I never want to see another "Wrestlemania goes Hollywood" commerical for as long as I live! They were getting out of hand heading into Wrestlemania. I sure as shit don't want to have to rewatch them all for fifty bucks (which is the price of the show, even if I, personally, didn't pay). Did anyone else randomly lose the Wrestlemania feed at the beginning of the show and during the finish to HBK/Angle? I didn't even get to see HBK tap out. We (the people I watched the show with and myself) didn't even know what happened in the match until they recapped the show after Batista/HHH. I did get to see a lot of the content of that match though. It started out slowly, like it was going to build to something...but it never really did. This isn't Japan, and I don't know why WWE randomly tries to do that. We went from headlock spots straight into high-flying, big bumps and finishers. It, again, just seemed like the middle of the match was forgotten. Like WWE were strapped for time or something. Shit, the PPV was four hours long! I HATE when Kurt seemingly spends an entire match working over the back only for him to slap on an Ankle Lock for the win. What was the point of the ring post, normal & top rope Angle Slams? The curtain jerker? Terrible. Rey most likely won't ever be wearing THAT mask again. Did you see how much trouble he was having with that? Eddie's "backne" was so bad that he initially had to wear band-aids over some of the larger zits. How pitiful. Then there were the botched spots, at least one big one, and Rey winning. Granted I don't get Smackdown, so I can't say if it was the "right" thing to do but Eddie was the freaking WWE champion last year. Now he's losing the curtain jerker to a Cruiserweight (CW). They better either push the shit out of Mysterio or the whole damn CW division. Otherwise, this match did nothing but hurt Eddie. Dazed, if you think THIS match was the highlight of the show, you must've hated Wrestlemania more than me. The Undertaker against Orton was pretty much what everyone expected. 'Taker won with a Tombstone after an RKO and a "Cowboy" cast shot. We had people calling all that two or so months ago. Nothing special. The most noteworthy moment of the match was the botched Last Ride. Ugh. Well, the PPV didn't have Snitsky or Hedeinreich (outside of in the WM commercials) so I guess that's a good thing, right? Eugene, whom before his injury, seemed to be pretty over. So, Hassan comes out to get some cheap heat on him. It makes sense. What does WWE get out of Hogan decimating Hassan and Daivari though? I mean, The Hulkster didn't even acknowledge Eugene. He just hit some big boots, then posed a lot. I love the Hulkster, hell, I grew up on him, but even when expecting him to show up, he still seemed well out of place. It hurt Hussan, which in turn made Eugene look even worse. The Ladder match? What the hell happened? Where was everyone? I must admit, the Benjamin running ladder clothesline spot was pretty neat. Of course, I wish he would've hit the actual clothesline more flush, but I guess he was too worried about not killing himself. A couple of big bumps and then a very anticlimatic ending. I kind of expected Edge to win, and I knew that Kane was going to physically dominate everyone in the match. Still, when it actually happened that way, I felt let down. Kane started out demolishing everyone, by himself, on the ramp. Then we just had bodies laying around and people taking too long to make saves. It was junk. Just because the wrestlers take big ladder bumps (which are retarded, I might add) that doesn't make the match good. Why should Benjamin kill himself in the midcard in a match that he's not going over in? He's the IC champion and WWE isn't even using him. I'm surprised he's not acting like RVD by now. Muhammed Hussan was the highlight of the PPV for me. I'm a little disappointed that WWE decided to not kill off the Eugene character. I actually anticipated Hogan coming out too...but I didn't get to see a legdrop. Piper's Pit was trash, just like I thought it would be. The best part was Piper clowning on the HORRIBLE fucking crowd. My goodness. That crowd was downright fucking pitiful. Even if you're not enjoying the show, do SOMETHING. It's fucking Wrestlemania. Those mother-fuckers with the floor seats probably paid around five-hundred bucks for tickets. They least they could fucking do is "boo." I'm not happy that the up-and-coming Carlito had to fall victim to the "Stunner" but I was actually happy to see Austin. At least it got CCC on WM too. Cena/JBL wasn't what I anticipated, which seemed to be the real theme to the show. The ending...just came. This match also seemed like it was in fast-forward. There was some brawling, and then Cena hit all of his spots and the match just ended. I think Bradshaw hit some boots. What the hell? Random recap of the Hall of Fame inductees. I don't really know why. I guess to give some more women camera time? Each inductee was escorted out onto the ramp by a "diva." The crowd at WM didn't get behing Hogan as much as the crowd at the Hall of Fame induction show did. How sad is that? I think the live crowd may have been the worst part about the PPV. At least Batista went over in the main event. When Cena won, I was starting to doubt it. The crowd didn't even seem that energetic for Batista. I figured that maybe they were just saving all of their energy for the main event. I was wrong. I mean, they weren't completely dead but with that many people there, and in Hollywood, you'd think they'd have a more vocal crowd. It just seemed like most of the people that were there weren't wrestling fans. You could tell that Batista was gassed very early in the match too. It's not to say that Wrestlemania XXI didn't have it's moments. There were a lot of things that I liked. Triple H did a GREAT bladejob. The previously mentioned Shelton ladder spot was good. Trish cleavage is never bad. Kane's entrance when the ladders caught fire was cool as all hell. I "marked" when Carlito came out. Both World Titles changed hands too. Still, I can't help but feel...not letdown, I don't think the show let me down. It just feels lackluster. It feels like it was exactly what I thought it was going to be. It didn't go above my expectations. It WAS my expectations. It's just that, it's Wrestlemania. It should have SOMETHING that makes me want to watch Raw tomorrow. I don't even see what direction the shows are going in now. I mean, are we just going to get more HHH/Batista? Trish going to admit that she beat a non-wrestling Playboy Diva Search winner? The biggest question coming out of the show is when will Edge get his title shot? Definitely not worth fifty bucks, especially with all of the production errors, but I didn't have to pay for it. We made a nice day out of it. I had a cookout with some friends, we had some good conversation and we played a few games. Hell, we even watched the '88 Royal Rumble to pass some time. It was a good day, overall, just a lackluster PPV. I don't even want the DVD. I don't want to see the show again. I don't know what the hell Meltz is talking about. The ladder match and HBK/Angle both seemed slightly above average to me. Nothing that you couldn't see at a throw away PPV.
  7. Eh, it'll be worked like everything else in this business.
  8. CARD: HHH/Batista HBK/Angle Cena/JBL Christy/Trish TBS/Akebono Eddie/Rey Orton/Taker Money in the Bank 6-man Then we'll also get a Piper's Pit segment with Austin.
  9. Goldberg was a jewish former football player. Austin was a redneck with a wrestling backround. The only reason people compared them was because they were both bald and wore black. Hell, Goldberg didn't even talk for a long time. He dominated his matches too. Austin would sell and went about 50/50 in his matches. I never understood why people compared the two. It was a freak accident that Goldberg even got over. WCW didn't know about the streak until people starting making signs and shit. Glacier was the one with the initial streak. Then they started a streak with Wrath too. Both ran into the wrecking ball that was Goldberg.
  10. You know what the best thing about the tag team division being on Smackdown would be? It'd give WWE a reason to NOT just slap together random tag team matches for main events. It's all they ever seen to do! Kane/Batista Vs. HHH/Snitsky is the type of shit that they randomly throw together. It sucks.
  11. Well, The Ultimate Warrior at least got a chance to run with the title. It can't hurt to try, right? Afterall, RVD is on Smackdown, and the current champion is JBL. C'mon, you can't try RVD over JBL? Making the point that each of RVD's matches were cookie cutter doesn't hold much weight as an argument. Afterall, this is WWE. EVERYONE's matches are cookie cutter now. That's what WWE style is. Look at Eddy Guerrero, Chris Benoit, etc. We've seen their non-WWE shit. We know they can go. In WWE though? Benoit hits a lot of chops, German Suplexes and a flying headbutt. Guerrero has the rolling verticle suplexes, etc. The point about RVD's punches was brought up earlier. Yes, they're bad. He didn't do them in ECW though. That's the entire argument. He was better, to some, in ECW just because he didn't have to work WWE style. Yes, he stalled more, but his transition moves were better. Not to mention he could resort to garbage spots with chairs and tables to get some pops. WWE should've gave him a shot. If Edge is above IC level, RVD certainly should be. I think RVD could be the wrestler that TNA or RoH would need to go more mainstream. Nash, Page, etc. aren't getting it done in TNA. RoH don't seem to want to go that big. Imagine RVD in X-Division matches with AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, etc.
  12. I'm better than Jim Ross.
  13. See, I think Orton's RKO on Stacy had a deeper meaning than that. Backstage, earlier in the night, Stacy kept questioning Orton as to why he would wrestle The Undertaker, etc. Then, during the in-ring promo, Orton was talking about "silencing all of his doubters." Seeing as how Stacy doubted him backstage earlier, she got the RKO. Factor in the whole girlfriend/woman point that you hammered home, and it makes a lot more sense. It doesn't matter who you are, even if you're a woman and/or close to Orton, if you doubt him, he will silence you. He proved a point. The problem is, I'm pretty sure it was lost on everyone. Most people probably just think Stacy is hot and Orton hit her, so he's a dick.
  14. Man, Batista is going to be DEAD in the water. They keep putting him into matches pre-Wrestlemania. Now it appears as if they're going to try to make him a FUNNY face character. Great. First the "used car salesman" shit, then the WM Taxi Driver commercial.
  15. Oh. See, I thought he tore his first quad on the slide into the ring and the second when he tried to stand up. OK, that makes a little bit more sense. Still, you'd think he'd need some help on the walk back. I guess that's why he tore his other quad.
  16. Alright, there's a couple of things that I want to address. First off, all the crap I feel about the Marty Jannety signings can be read at TSM. I'm not going to post about it again. Let's just say that we'll have to wait and see how it pans out. Secondly, I really don't want to see all the box office sales and shit for every movie that The Rock is in from here until eternity. It's already starting to get old. Yes, he wrestled in WWE. Yes, he's in movies now. Shouldn't that be the end of it? How is that Observer newsworthy? Next, I REALLY think WWE is dropping the ball by having Batista in all these matches leading up to Wrestlemania. Regardless of if they're tag matches or house shows or whatever. I don't think he should even be in physical confrontations, let alone matches! I guess it's a little late for that now though, huh? Finally, does anyone have the Royal Rumble DVD? I read that Vince tore both quads when he did his entrance at the Rumble. However, one of the extras on the Rumble DVD is to see some "after the PPV ended" footage between Batista & Cena. Basically, they shake hands and Cena tells Batista to win the belt. However, what caught my eye was in the backround, it appeared as if Vince was walking off on his own power. Triple H couldn't even do that with one quad tear, so what's going on?
  17. Man, that's a tough question to answer. I'd have to break it down: Well, first and foremost, I think that The Undertaker is out of the running. Seriously, I'd only consider him because of his winning streak, and it's a worked record. So, what's the point? The best thing about his Wrestlemania appearances are his entrances. A lot of those entrances, or at least a couple of them, weren't even memorable. Normal Deadman entrances or Walker: Texas 'Taker entrances. His matches are nothing to write home about. Hell, he's faces wrestlers that were passed their prime or jobbers most of the time. Snuka, Roberts, fatties, etc. When I opened the thread, Hulk Hogan was the name that came to mind. I still think the title should go to him, just because he's done more for the business than HBK has. Of course, a lot of my love for him is based on nostalgia. Still, he's meant more the Wrestlemania than HBK has. HBK had the first Ironman and Ladder matches at Wrestlemania. He had that entrance where he came from the rafters. Outside of that, though, what has he done? Laid down for Stone Cold? Got punched by Tyson? Lost to Nash? It has to be Hogan.
  18. [li]Bret "Hitman" Hart ~ I don't know where to begin. He's responsible for so many of my favorite wrestling moments. A lot of them go unmentioned nowadays too. Yeah, people remember and talk about his great matches, like his Owen Hart tribute on Nitro with Benoit or his Wrestlemania matches with HBK, Austin & Owen. I liked all the little things though. His Thunder match with Disco Inferno. I'd never seen the Sharpshooter locked in that precise before. His Wrestlemania match with Roddy Piper was great. I loved the Hart Foundation. I loved when he wore the piece of metal over his chest so that Goldberg knocked himself silly delivering the Spear. What a great wrestler...but an overlooked entertainer as well. I still think the "screwjob" was a work. [/li][li]"The Franchise" Shane Douglas ~ I give Douglas a lot more credit than a lot of other people do. Of course, most of those people, like myself, only know about the business because of shit that we read on-line. Most of the wrestlers, when you hear them shooting or whatnot, all seem to think that Douglas is an asshole and that he burned too many bridges. That maybe so, but I thought he was badass in ECW. He had some decent tag title matches in WCW too. I was never a big fan of his belly-to-belly finisher, but when he started using the Pittsburgh Plunge, I started liking him more. The Triple Threat was one of the reasons why I fell in love with ECW. Ever notice how Douglas always had women around him? In ECW he had Francine, not to mention Tammy by association with Candido. In WCW, at least the second time, he got Torrie Wilson. TNA? Traci. It's not like they were mouthpieces. Douglas was a good talker, even when he couldn't cuss. His XPW run shouldn't have happened. [/li][li]Toshiaki Kawada ~ I've, personally, always liked Misawa more, but Kawada is second. Just above Kobashi and Akiyama. He does grow on you with the more exposure that you get with him though. I could watch him kick poor bastards in the face all day long. I'm not a real big fan of his pinning powerbomb, despite knowing a lot of the backstory and shit with it. It's defintely established, or at least was at one time, but it's still just a pinning powerbomb to this american wrestling fan. I'm not too big into Puro, but Kawada is one of those cats that you just have to seek out. Word out mouth goes a long way, and his name is always dropped. [/li][li]Demoltion ~ Well, they certainly weren't the Fabulous Freebirds. I marked for Demolition when they were heels and had Mr. Fuji as their manager. I quit caring for them after their face turn. To this day I love their entrance music and attire. It just doesn't seem cheesy to me. It seems like they were out of a Mad Max movie. Not the best of workers, or brawlers really, but the gimmick took them a long way in my eyes. Once Crush came on board, all hope was lost. Still, back in the 80's when it was heel Ax & Smash, I thought they were badass. Great finisher. [/li][li]"Diamond" Dallas Page ~ Well, he did drive the pink cadillac at WM6! I never could get into his promos. They came off generic. Calling people "scum" wasn't that big of an insult in 1996. I loved his finisher though. Hell, I don't think you could be a WCW fan and not like the Diamond Cutter. It was the most established move in the company! Page did a good job of that. As far as his matches go, the majority of them were forgettable. I don't really know why he got multiple title reigns, but to be honest, it didn't really bother me. Anyone could lose to the Diamond Cutter. I liked Page the best when he was a babyface that would get beat down the entire match, but could still win by hitting the Cutter out of left field. When he went heel, and all the Triad shit went down, I stopped caring. His run in WWE was a joke, but he did provide me with some comical moments. In TNA, thus far, he hasn't really done anything. It was cool to see him show up, but I know he's not in the best condition anymore. Well, to be honest, he never really was. Great finisher, mediocre talker, hard worker and an average wrestler. Took what limited tools he has/had and made them work. [/li][li]Al Snow ~ Man, he has to be a good guy for as much shit as he's had to take in his career. Surprisingly, most of the shit I've seen with Al Snow wasn't in a wrestling ring at all. Tough Enough, Confidential Cribs, etc. I need to get ahold of his ECW work. I haven't had a lot of exposure to it, despite being a huge ECW fan. Hell, I just got to watch the Sabu shoot yesterday. What I have seen from him in the ring has been...better than average. I heard that he trained Dan Severn back in the day, which at the time I didn't believe. With all the Tough Enough shit that's went down, it certainly makes sense now. My friend Chad actually met him in person at a convention not too long ago. Apparently Al Snow and Virgil/Vincent were both there. They had a wrestling ring set up and people were allowed to get into it. Chad got a picture with Al where he had Chad in a headlock. Then some kid gave another jobber a piledriver in the ring...and Chad, Snow & Virgil all cringed. I love stories like that. Al seems like a nice dude, and I'd like to meet him some day. Maybe shoot the shit with him? I'm sure he has some great stories. Hell, I could listen to Mick Foley talk about/make fun of him all day long. I was never a real big fan of the "Snow Plow" finisher however. I did like his European title run. That shit was hilarious. [/li][li]Scott Hall ~ *SIGH* So many great memories, so many terrible stories. We all know that he has...problems. However, when he was in WWF for the first time, I fucking loved Razor Ramon. At one time, he was my favorite wrestler. I actually didn't recognize him as The Diamond Stud because it'd been so long since I'd seen him. Once he hit his finisher though, I remembered. Hey, there's another thing that Page did! Managed the Stud. When he "invaded" WCW, I almost had a heart attack. That shit was surreal...at least at the time. I definitely marked out. When Nash showed up a week or two later, I don't know how long it was until I watched WWF again. One of the best finishers ever in my eyes. Loved his ladder matches. Loved his catchphrases and mannerisms. It's too bad what he's become. The last time I saw him in TNA, I actually pitied him. You should never pity someone. I guess it was just because I had such fond memories of him. [/li][li]Yuji Nagata ~ Oh man, I love Nagata! All three Nagata Locks are badass. His work in WCW wasn't amazing, but it left an impression on me. Enough so that I went out of my way to watch some of his shit in Japan. When I played Fire Pro Wrestling D for the first time, Nagata was who I picked. I think he's underrated. A lot of people overlook him. I don't know if it's because of underexposure or because when you're comparing japanese wrestlers you have to compare them to greats like Misawa and Liger. I'm a big fan. Nagata Lock III is my current decktop wallpaper. Apparently my backspace key on my keyboard isn't working so hot anymore. [/li][li]Psicosis ~ We did him already, right? Psicosis is my friend Jeremy's favorite wrestler. Imagine his excitement when I told him that Psicosis was coming into WWE. He's not real big into the internet scene, at least wrestling wise, so he doesn't think about things like lack of a push or jobbing to hosses. He was happy. I love Psicosis' Guillotine Legdrop. I think I said this last time, but he's not Bobby Eaton. Still, gotta love his run in WCW. I liked a couple of his matches in NWA:TNA too. He had a fourway match with Jerry Lynn, AJ Styles & Low Ki that was pretty good...even if he was the "jobber" in that match. It'll be cool to see him again. Much like Al Snow, I need to get ahold of his ECW shit. [/li][li]Steve Austin ~ Ya'll have seen his ECW promo where he makes fun of everyone from Dusty Rhodes to Hulk Hogan, right? Oh man, that shit is hilarious! "Thass not fa you." Hollywood Blondes? Gold. WCW TV Champion? Gold. ECW promo's? Gold. "Ringmaster?" Not so gold, but DiBiase was on screen, so it was all good. Fucking Stone Cold though. Jesus. What can be said? That shit was a revolution of the business. Austin Vs. McMahon is probably my favorite feud of all-time. Yeah, it's wrestling and it didn't provide a lot of good matches, but it sure as hell provided entertaining TV. I loved when Austin was driving Bret's ambulance and he beat the slop out of him in the back of it. The Stone Cold Stunner is a great move. A lot better than a stun gun anyway. His match with The Rock at X-7 was great. Hell, he had a ton of great matches. He was so fucking over it was insane! People "WHATed" the National Anthem! People still do What chants every now and then. Stone Cold seemed like a rip-off of The Sandman's gimmick in a way, but it certainly worked. It's who Austin is. He's a redneck that drinks, cusses and raises hell. I miss Austin. It'll be cool to see him at Wrestlemania again this year. I know that his time has passed, so I don't want to see him going over any young talent like he did last time he was on TV. I still think that he should be involved in some role though. A commentator maybe?[/li]
  19. I think the fact that it's WWE's flagship show makes it worth the price. To be honest, I'd watch it regardless of what the card was. It's always neat to see the set, a packed house, and everyone trying harder than usual. It could be worse. Remember the rumored Snitsky/Heidenreich Vs. UT/Kane match? The ladder match looks good. So does HBK/Angle, from a workrate standpoint. I'm also curious if they'll let Orton beat UT. Seeing as how I don't get Smackdown locally, all of their matches will be entertaining. Is it worth $50? No, but I don't think any card that anyone could make from any wrestler during their prime in any era is worth that much. You could make the best, longest, biggest super card of all time and I still wouldn't drop fifty bucks on that ass. That's what friends are for. Reduce the cost of the shit and bring the enjoyment level up. By the way, give me the babyface in every single match, and I'll probably be pretty close to getting all of the winners correct. Afterall, it's Wrestlemania, the blow-off show.
  20. That's the biggest problem with the internet today. It's also the reason why people write cards off before they actually happen.
  21. To promote competition? To show that they "care about the little people?" To try to give Vince a reason to run shows, I.E. direct competition again. Perhaps to try and add a little bit of legitimacy to the business to make it looked at like more of a sport. Right now Raw and Smackdown are just kinda there. When Nitro was on the air, at least they were trying to win the ratings war. It'd be pretty fucked up to see a Triple H highlight on Sportscenter, no?
  22. I would love to see the WWE World Champion go to Ring Of Honor and the like to defend his title. That'd be really cool to witness, and would help solidify some non-WWE promotions.
  23. Man, I don't know what else to say about Raw. I mean, you take away the surprise factor of Jake Roberts and Marty Jannetty and it was, I'd say, below average. Let's look at Roberts and Jannetty though. Jake came out, sounded terrible, and had very jargled words. He sounded like he was either drunk or had throat cancer. It took awhile for me to figure out what he was saying, but eventually, when you got past all of that, it wasn't that bad of a promo. Jake was coming off as the heel, but the fans, obviously, gave their support to him over Orton. I don't know if it's because of nostalgia factor or if because no one wants to see Orton go over UT and end his streak at Wrestlemania. Still, I'd be lying if I said that I didn't mark out for Jake. Regardless of what he looked or sounded like, it was still cool to see him again. You can't deny that he did the right thing either. He came out, cut a promo, and then took Orton's finisher and sold it. I was disappointed that I didn't get to see either a DDT or the actual Snake though. It just seems like WWE is going backwards with Randy Orton. He's so bland and everything seems so forced. His most recent push was aborted as HHH went over him clean at Royal Rumble. Now he's going back to his "Legend Killer" gimmick? Next thing you know, he'll be a heel again and cutting more RNN segments. Of course, dare I say, that'd be more entertaining than what he's doing right now. Marty Jannetty? I guess it was cool to see him. His wrestling attire definitely got some chuckles out of me. Too bad Shawn didn't still have something like that which he could've worn down to the ring. That would've been hilarious. Jannetty actually looked pretty good. Especially during the early stages of the match. HBK and Jannetty both botched their kip-ups, but with their age, I won't complain about that too much. I don't think I want him sticking around for the long haul however. I'm pretty sure that him and HBK just got back together on Raw to show that they're still friends. Now Angle can kill him on Smackdown. Maybe throw him through a Barbershop window again? Outside of that, Raw didn't do a whole lot. We got to see Christian & Tomko against Kane. I felt like it was a waste of Christian...and then he left the match. Great. It left us with two lumbering giants. Tomko was falling down after hitting big boots, and Kane was winning handicap matches. Ugh. I seriously hope that fucking Kane doesn't win that ladder match at Wrestlemania. Come to think of it, I don't want to watch Kane and Batista wrestle next week either. It seems like WWE/HHH (for the conspiracy theorists) don't want Batista to succeed. Why book him in constant matches leading up to Wrestlemania? Why make him sell and look weak for ANYONE, let alone fucking Snitsky. The same Snitsky that lost clean to Shelton Benjamin a week or two ago as HTQ pointed out. I so don't care about Trish Vs. Christy that it's sad. The worst part is that you know Christy is going to win the title at Wrestlemania. If I cared about the women's division at all, that would make me sad. Instead it makes me sad for Trish because she's obviously worked hard. What has Christy done? Posed nude? Stuck a pie in her ass? C'mon. We got to see all of the ladder match competitors in at least some form on Monday. So, I guess that's good. Too bad they were all in throw away matches that were forgotten as soon as they ended. It doesn't matter if they pull out ladders or not. If they get booked into a match at the beginning of the show, then wrestle the match on the show, and end the match on the show, next show, no one cares. I'd be lying if I said I expected more out of the Triple H/Benoit match. It was what it was. A Raw match with very little hype and Triple H going over. We all knew that's what it would be. Each wrestler hit their signature spots, and that's all there was to it. Just seemed like a mediocre Raw to me. Sure, they threw in a couple of guest appearances, but when we're getting this close to Wrestlemania, you know they're going to pull out some shit. I just wish the content in between the surprised was better. I'm not really liking the way that the Wrestlemania card is looking. Kane was thrown into the ladder match, and that really upsets me. JBL/Cena doesn't matter to me at all. Batista/HHH isn't going to be a wrestling clinic. Christy/Trish is a joke. It's looking, to me, like the card will live and die with HBK/Angle. They're both badly beaten up though....
  24. Holy crap. I don't know if I could come up with twenty-one matches. That's more than one match per show since Wrestlemania 21 hasn't happened yet. I loved the WMXX 3-Way. WMX IC Ladder match was good too. Throw in some Austin/Rock @ 17, Austin/Hart @ 13, Savage/Steamboat @ 3 and I'm already about spent. There's no way I could come up with that many matches. Not without having to list matches that weren't really good but had nostalgia factor or some shit.
  25. Man, I'm really disappointed with the direction that the Batista/HHH feud took tonight. I really didn't want to see Batista in a match until Wrestlemania. Same for Triple H actually, but that went out the window awhile ago. I know that WWE seem to like Snitsky for whatever reason, but having Batista have to sell for him isn't going to make Wrestlemania any better. In fact, Batista looked to have been shown up at one time. Chairs or not. Batista shouldn't be needed help from the back! Damnit.
