A top rope Canadian Destroyer didn't even get a pinfall attempt. One of my biggest complaint about AEW is how often death moves are just barely near falls, if that. The bar has been raised so much you don't even know what a finish is anymore. Nevertheless this match has been nuts & Dave will give it at least five stars.

That was a great near fall. The crowd was so deflated.

I heard Jim Ross question who was the legal men... in a cage match.
-
The second half was a lot better than the first half, admittedly. And the ending stretch was great.
-
Crowd is hype but this one has been pretty sloppy. OK it picked up at the end.
-
Felt like a normal TV match.

Miro is good, y'all.

Very much so, yes. You're going to see a ton of spots, a lot of dives & not a lot of selling in most of the matches. It's very Indie style. The Young Bucks Vs. Lucha Bros. in the cage will be the worst about it most likely.
-
Some pretty impressive spots in the pre-show big tag. Maybe Luchasaurus shouldn't do the Tail Whip anymore though, as that's Aleister Black's finish now.

You can make it so it looks like Punk is rusty but as a veteran, can still win by dodging going for some all or nothing move & getting out of the way. That way, Punk looks rusty but still "outsmarts" the young guy who goes for an all or nothing & basically beats himself. That's what I would do. That way Darby can say he beat himself & Punk can say he got lucky or whatever to have them both save face. Punk doesn't have to hit him with the Go 2 Sleep for a 1-2-3 clean in the middle. Just pin him after he misses some big dive or something.

No. I don't think you sign the biggest free agent in all of pro wrestling, have him back in pro wrestling for the first time in seven years, show up & redebut in one of the biggest moments in wrestling & then on his first PPV - which a lot of people are buying this show for him - and immediately have him lose. That would be exceptionally bone headed.

The Tito Santana Vs. Ric Flair match at the beginning of this show is great!

Half hour match between Owens & Yano feels like my own personal hell.

I just wanted to make sure everyone on PWO saw this. Spreading some good news.

AEW is so much better now than they were a year ago but they still have a lot of issues. A big one being Jericho on commentary right now. Mark Henry isn't any good on there either. AEW needs to make adjustments to the commentary booth as a whole. I would love to see 2-man teams, one for Dynamite & one for Rampage. The teams right now, it just feels like too many chefs in the kitchen. Hopefully after All Out, we'll see people like Matt Hardy & QT Marshall & The Gunn Club get significantly less TV time. If they get put on Dark or Dark: Elevation, that's fine. But there's zero reason they should be on the main shows when people like Shida don't make air. Rick Knox the referee is worthless & I can't tell if his ineptitude is supposed to be his gimmick or what. Not like a referee should have a gimmick to begin with. Malakai Black is doing good things. Miro is doing good things. They have C.M. Punk now. All signs indicate they're going to have Bryan Danielson soon. Kenny Omega is still there. Hangman Page will be back before too long. And AEW might get Adam Cole too. So the upper midcard & main event is looking pretty damn good. And you still have guys under them, like Jungle Boy & Darby Allin, that can be slotted into pretty much any match without anyone questioning it. Britt Baker is also one of the most over wrestlers in the entire company but they need to start building other women for her. Also they should probably just turn her completely babyface at this point as she's already a defacto face to the crowd but the booking is weird as she's like a bit of a tweener & working with heels. AEW has got to do something about their tag team division. When the company was first coming together, I thought their tag division was going to be one of the bright spots & highlights of the company. Tap into an area that WWE has pretty much squandered for years. I was hoping we could have a new era of great tag wrestling like during the Midnight Express, Fantastics & Rock 'n Roll Express days, but it's been about on par with WWE thus far to be honest. The Young Bucks aren't doing much good lately to me, if others love it, more power to 'em... but that shit is corny. I'm hoping the cage match will be the turning of a corner. Would love to be able to see a tag team main event a show without anyone questioning it. Really looking forward to the Pay-Per-View & I know I would love everything in AEW but I don't hate it all either. It's definitely heading in a positive direction & I like a lot more than I dislike. It's nice to feel positive about a wrestling company again.

Every time I think of Prichard in creative I just think back to him absolutely refusing to admit that the Red Rooster gimmick was bad. He'll go to his grave saying it could have worked if Taylor put in more effort. "He's the cock of the walk!" Says all that needs to be said about Bruce creatively I think. Also, shout out to Sek for confusing George Clooney & James Franco.

I've thought about All Out a lot & I know most people are excited for pretty much the same matches & most people are disinterested in pretty much the same matches as well. However, that being said, while at work tonight I was thinking about the Paul Wight Vs. QT Marshall match. I don't think anyone is clamoring for this match nor is anyone wanting it to go long. That being said, I was thinking if Wight has one WCW-style Chokeslam left in him, instead of the safer, WWE style that he was doing the last several years, I would really mark out for that. He used to dunk people like a damn basketball & when he was The Giant, that move was like one of the most over finishes in all of wrestling during one of the biggest times in all of wrestling. That's saying something! Without him, you don't get 911 in ECW doing the Chokeslam, or Undertaker & Kane adding it to their moveset, etc. ONE TIME! C'MON, ONE TIME!

This is crazy to me. Who is training these kids? Do they literally just teach them a back bump, take their money & push 'em out the door? Jungle Boy is already pretty good & has a ton of potential. Ospreay is great. So imagine if they "got it" earlier on in their training/careers. None of these younger guys are watching wrestling tapes or listening to veterans talk prior to Christian in AEW?
-
I mean, how the fuck can you be ON TV AND WRESTLING LIVE and not know that wrestling isn't 100% moves? I call bullshit. He's never watched wrestling, or listened to people talk about it? No podcasts, car rides, nothing? This says all the wrong things about AEW if you ask me. But I guess glad Christian is there now...

Look, I'm not the biggest Nick Aldis fan. And although I defended NWA Powerrr early, I can say that season two, the luster had diminished for me. That being said, I still liked some of the ideas & talent that NWA had. However, Nick Aldis losing the world title after a 1000+ day reign to Trevor Murdoch of all people was a wet fart.
-
It's also an exceptionally bad look when QT Marshall is getting TV time every week & people like Hikaru Shida don't make the show at all.
-
Imagine how their kid is going to turn out. Cody & Brandi as parents, both in the public eye, growing up in the digital social media world.
-
I don't know anyone that even watches Impact or where it even airs or on what day. Is it still on Twitch?

I don't dislike Hangman. I think he's pretty good. That being said, it's going to be a hard sell to make him the top guy when you have Black, Danielson & Punk running around now too.
