I agree about the goodwill part but why was it ever on the board to begin with ending the show, ANY SHOW, with that Arn Anderson & son stuff? Even if it wasn't immediately after the C.M. Punk shit. That should never, ever have been a main event. Even on a B-Show. It doesn't make any sense. They gotta stop trying to force fucking jobbers onto the show. Even as a curtain jerk, QT in example should not be on the show. He's taking TV time away from stars.

When Riho was around, I recall her moving the needle quite a bit herself as well. Plus they have Thunder Rosa & Serena Deeb whom are both pretty solid workers. So they have talent, for sure. Instead we get Nightmare Factory & Elite doing goofy comedy skits.

As much as Jim Ross has lost a step on commentary, and outside of his Jeff Jarrett contract flub, I bet they're really missing Ross right now being the head of talent relations. That man did so much behind the scenes for WWE, Gerry Brisco too, that it blows my mind they let them leave the way they did. But you bring back Prichard & Laurenitis? Reap what you sow.

I am curious if they'll ever get A.J. Lee to at least make a cameo now that they brought in C.M. Punk. I mean, it couldn't hurt, right? I don't think AEW focuses enough on their women's division. When people have been talking about who could go to AEW, they hardly ever mention women. Outside of the casual Charlotte Flair & Sasha Banks fantasy jump or whatever. But before C.M. Punk showed up, I would argue that Britt Baker was the most over person on the entire roster... and she doesn't exactly have a lot of people to work with.

Felt like WALTER was leaving the territory with how that match played out. Felt very 70's. Complete with the losing by submission & then the babyface standing tall holding up the title with his foot on his chest.

Honestly, long term it's probably the best thing to do. NXT did give us some good matches as it basically just morphed into old Ring of Honor there for a few years. But the reality is, WWE got multiple big money main eventers out of OVW in the likes of John Cena, Batista, Brock Lesnar & Randy Orton. From Vince McMahon's perspective, I doubt NXT ever hit that same level of success. I can't imagine Vince McMahon thinking the likes of Adam Cole & Johnny Gargano are future Wrestlemania main event players. Not that all of a sudden Cornette & Davis will be running NXT or anything, nor do they still have the likes of Brisco scouting but still.

100% disagree. Could not disagree any more. Bray Wyatt as the backwoods swamp redneck cult leader, like a bad guy out of True Detective, was infinitely more entertaining - and had a helluva lot more potential - than his fucking Rob Zombie clown gimmick. If Windham comes in as the cult leader again & tries to corrupt some people in AEW, ala Raven or the like, I think that might have legs. An unbeatable movie monster doesn't really work in pro-wrestling because... well, you have to sell & lose... Plus Wyatt/Windham's strong suit seems to be his promos. They have to be careful though because they already have multiple occult type gimmicks going on. Not just Malachai Black or even the Dark Order but occasionally someone like Abadon too. Not to go too far down the fantasy booking pipe, but I'd give Luchasaurus to Windham & change his name/gimmick/mask & have him turn on Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy is going on to bigger things & it would get Luchasaurus out of the way, get rid of that awful gimmick, plus give Windham a monster. One that's better than Erik Rowan.

I mean they gotta save that for Wrestlemania, right? That's too big of a match for a random throwaway PPV. Even Survivor Series doesn't feel big enough.

Thankfully, it'll be on a show no one watches most likely - if they're doing it in Saudi.

Also the fact that it was all women & then immediately followed with a commercial for WWE returning to Saudi Arabia. Says it all, really.

Man, when wrestling is good, it's really great, huh? It's nice to just watch wrestling with a smile on my face again. Just feeling like it's FUN again. Who knew that just giving the fans what they want & letting moments speak for themselves could feel so refreshing. AEW have Sting, Chris Jericho & Jon Moxley. Despite C.M. Punk's return to WWE via the Fox talk show or his stint in UFC, him coming out on AEW tonight, he immediately felt like the biggest star in the company.

I've not wanted to see a wrestling show this much in a long, long time. Unfortunately, I'll be stuck at work. So I'll probably be checking in sporadically on my phone at work or will come home & try to watch it in the morning.

I'm still sad Samoa Joe came back after WWE unceremoniously fired him. That being said, if it ever leads to Samoa Joe Vs. WALTER, I'm here for it. Regardless of the situation leading to the match - that would be can't miss.

If they're getting C.M. Punk, I feel like it would be a missed opportunity to not also bring in A.J. Lee, even if just for an appearance.
