I don't think AEW has the roster right now to have a women's division at all. I think having the first title match be Riho Vs. Nyla was also a misstep. They need more women, for sure. They need to fill out the women's division more. I'm not impressed by Riho & like you said, Britt Baker & Bea Priestley have underwhelmed, with Bea so far also being downright dangerous. Has she had a single match in AEW so far where someone didn't get hurt? Also obviously AEW didn't foresee Kylie Rae leaving. They just don't have the female star power.

It cracks me up that Jim Ross seemingly has nothing to say about AEW Women’s Champion, Riho, other than she’s small, under 100 pounds & has to do a lot because of it. BAW GAWD HER HEART! Can someone show him some Spike Dudley matches or something?

I loved it. I'll be watching it every week. This show was exactly what I'm looking for. As for discussion of the show, this is obviously not going to be my medium... otherwise I'll just fill up my Ignore List.

NWA Power is tonight. I'm excited for it & will be watching it when it premiers but I don't think it's worthy of its own thread. Just don't think there would be enough replies/interest. But I wanted to post here to remind people in case they forgot or didn't know about it.

It was just like a 3-second mics are still live while they went to a promo backstage or commercial break thing but it did happen.

They opened with the Bobby Lashley/Rusev/Lana cuck storyline. Then did like a 20 minute Lacey Evans Vs. Nattie Neidhart Last Man Standing Match. Then they had the Street Profits do whatever the fuck their shit is supposed to be. Now they're showing a Dolph Ziggler/Bobby Roode tag match. It's like they're purposely trying to make people change the channel. They've also completely ignored the PPV last night like it never happened. Haven't mentioned it at all. I was curious what the crowd would be like tonight after the shit end to the PPV last night but the first hour of the show actively pissed me off so I had to shut it off.

How can Nattie have been in the company for as long as she has and still have absolute zero idea how to work? She doesn't understand timing, she doesn't get psychology, all of her offense looks like shit. She can't even do her own finish properly. She's awful. And Lacey is still just completely green. Even all the bells, whistles and (literal) garbage couldn't make that shit watchable. It was just fucking bad TV. Just a bad fucking match between two shit workers that went way too fucking long.

This is one of the worst matches I have ever watched.

I feel bad for Sasha & Becky. They put on a helluva match but now all anyone will remember about this show is that awful main event.

A good match following a great match makes the good match look worse by comparison.

This feels like a nothing match after that opener, which is insane as Bryan and Roman are both in it.

I was thinking The Fiend would show up and Mandible Claw Becky at the end there.

Legit. They genuinely made it worse. Those matches actually just hurt my interest in the show as a whole. That's fucking pathetic.

I'm genuinely curious what they're going to do. It feels like The Fiend doesn't need a title for his character at all, just like The Undertaker didn't. But now that they've booked themselves into a corner, they have to pull the trigger, right? Otherwise they completely kill the character off... again. And Seth is very obviously not fucking working on top & hasn't for a long time. Dare I say hasn't ever. So they gotta make a change I feel but then you have World Champion Bray The Fiend Wyatt and who is going to unthrone him? Have someone beat him when he's in Bray Wyatt sweater mode instead of The Fiend or something? Just really odd booking. But I'm down for getting the title off of Seth. They got the other one off of Kofi, so they're half way there.

Thank you all for being so helpful. I might look for an old school NWA hat instead. I don't feel comfortable pulling the trigger on a $30 hat with velcro prior to shipping & handling costs.

Curse: his death match shit - although prolonging his career - inspired an entire generation of idiots. The nWo Blessing: Super over stable that helped create the biggest boom the world of wrestling has ever seen. Led to fun matches & storylines & moments. Helped WCW beat WWF in the ratings. Revolutionized the industry forever. Sold a metric fuckton of merch. Made WCW Nitro must-watch television. Curse: Did a ton of long term damage that we're still not recovered from. Heels are cool & get cheered. Babyfaces get booed. Shawn Michaels Blessing: Some great WWF main events & memorable matches. Fun tag worker. Curse: Pretty much responsible for the WWE self-masturbatory, over-indulged style of wrestling. Inspired a plethora of wrestlers to come up thinking they're the next HBK & wrestling a style that had no substance because they just saw Shawn do moves & kip-up.

Growing up watching legit tough-as-nails men like Terry Funk & Harley Race, it's pretty crazy to see the types of personalities that are within the industry & even fawned over nowadays.

Does it make me a mark if I pull the trigger on buying an AEW hat off of ProWrestlingTees? $30 is a lot of money for a hat with a velcro clasp...
