  1. So, the guy that has failed on top as both a babyface & a heel. The guy known for being thin-skinned & embarrassing himself on Twitter. The guy that left early from Saudi Arabia to go spend time with his fiancee... is the guy trying to be the locker room leader, to tell the other people to not talk about grievances on social media. What a geek.
  2. He did formerly date a literal Nazi sympathizer, right? I don't think he's known for his good decision making skills. This is what I thought too but apparently the twice a year part wasn't official. They did two a year anyway, but it wasn't official. Now it's officially apart of the ten-year deal.
  3. I watched it. It was dope. Felt like an old ECW card as they kind of had everything up & down the card. They had the Lucha spotfest. They had the lightweight wrestling title match. The hardcore stuff. The strong style stuff. Etc. Aries/Hart was pretty good. Probably the best Teddy Hart match I've ever watched. At least that I can remember. I didn't like him for a long time & it feels like he's really toned down the high spot stuff. I even bought into one of the false finishes. Timothy Thatcher Vs. Filthy Tom Lawlor surprised me a lot. I've really come around on Lawlor lately & feel like he would be a big pick-up for any promotion. It kind of felt like a mix between an old school NWA match & like a stiff strong style NJPW match. Kind of gave me early Buzz Sawyer feels. And I've spoken before about my love of Jacob Fatu. That dude is a superstar in the making. The next Umaga. Just a freak. I also think Josef Samauel as a manager/mouthpiece is probably the best play for him. I don't like Gringo Loco or Jimmy Havoc & even the matches they were in didn't bother me. Even the Von Erich tag was fine. It was a good show that I would recommend. Oh, also, I know that Salina during LA Park's entrance is gonna get El-P FIRED UP! Gonna be a Bluechew ad.
  4. To put this into perspective, in Indiana the minimum wage is $7.25. Working 40/hours a week 52/weeks a year here is $15k/year. Like Blehschmidt said, and I've seen it first hand. There's a reason a lot of people in my city turns to drugs/alcohol. Because their lives fucking suck. They do nothing but work so that they can still be poor. And that's if they have ZERO kids...
  5. I’m firmly in the Wrestle Kingdom should only be one day camp. Same for Wrestlemania.
  6. I don't know if there's anything in my life that has brought me more joy than professional wrestling. Other than video games, it's the only other constant that has been consistent in my life. Many of my real life friends that I still have, I met because of professional wrestling. On a daily basis, still at 38-years-old, I read about, write about & talk about wrestling. Literally every single day of my life. When I think of wrestling, it brings me a lot of good, positive memories. Events from my childhood, going to certain shows, seeing certain wrestlers, watching Pay-Per-Views with friends, hell even playing wrestling video games or reading magazines. I can be negative about wrestling when I'm talking about it, especially modern WWE when I don't agree with booking decisions or whatever, but I love wrestling. It's a big part of who I am as a man, which despite never being anything more than a fan, I'm OK with. I never pursued it further and maybe I should have but that's a moot point. Even in high school, half my life ago, I wore a wrestling shirt pretty much every single day of the week. It's one of my biggest hobbies & something that I enjoy that I also share with others. Just yesterday, my brother was visiting with his children & I got to sit down with my nephew & show him André the Giant for the first time. Seeing his reaction to how big he was, that's a moment that you'll remember forever. It reminded me of when I was a child & pro-wrestling first captivated me. My girlfriend even watches shows with me - she's a big fan of Asuka - and she encourages me to talk more about it & try to teach her things about it so that we can enjoy it together. And I love that. So when I see someone like Jim Cornette, that has literally dedicated his entire life to the industry, has been in the industry for longer than I have been alive, being so bitter... it just fills me with sadness. He's such a great talker, manager, collector, historian... and all it seems like he is doing is alienating people & burning bridges. It's just sad to watch. He's always been a hothead & a highly opinionated person, and it's has cost him jobs in the past, but now being able to see it daily because of social media has just worsened it all. Instead of being a respected legend in the business, half the people that know him think he's shoot crazy. It's just pathetic but he brought it all on himself.
  7. Ishii is a beast. He's had a monster 2019. His match with KENTA tonight was good. This whole show has been damn entertaining to be honest.
  8. This Saudi shit has more twists & turns than a Vince Russo WCW storyline. Now the rumor circulating, which is apparently from Hugo Savinovich (which was in Spanish and translated to English) is that Vince McMahon was owed 300-600 million & wasn't paid. So he cut the feed to the KSA version of Crown Jewel. To combat that, the Prince held the roster plane hostage. Sounds pretty far fetched but the fact that it could also be plausible I don't know if it says more about Saudi Arabia or the carny business of pro wrestling. "Never say never."
  9. That's your takeaway from that? Because what I get from that is unprofessionalism & being cliché. How fucking long are people going to use & think the "mom's basement" comeback is witty? And you wanna talk about thin skin? Look no further than Mauro Ranallo's jobber ass. The proper response would be no response & to just block the account.
  10. Yeah, he gotta cut out the Shooting Star too, not because it's too flippy but because his looks like the shits.
  11. I, too, like Jim Cornette but agree that he's not really good for a promotion in 2019 & beyond. He's too much of a liability. Truth be told, he's actually been really grating my nerves lately. I can't read his tweets or listen to his podcasts anymore because everything he says or types just feels fake as fuck. Like, I don't even think for one second that he believes half the shit he's saying anymore. He's just trying to rile people up to stay relevant. It's that old school mentality of trying to get people to keep talking about him. Problem is, shit doesn't work like it did in 1985 anymore. You don't get heat, you burn bridges & get blackballed nowadays. His potshots & mini-rants are tired. It's like a stand-up comedian trying to be shocking by using racial or homophobic slurs. I'm not a big fan of Joey Ryan, in example, either. So... I just don't watch his stuff. And all the Twitter cops that snitch by tagging James E. every time Ryan farts? You could just add "Joey Ryan" to your muted words list. But Cornette won't do that, because he WANTS the fucking drama. That's the whole point. And it's just, pardon the pun, corny.
  12. That was a helluva show.
  13. Outside of the Stephanie McMahon shit, which last less than three minutes, this show has been dope.
  14. It's crazy how on Smackdown all of these NXT people feel like such bigger stars...
  15. Agreed. Tons of charisma, come off as both cool & fun. That's a recipe for success.
  16. I'm more hoping that the majority of the roster nopes the fuck out from returning. I know *I* wouldn't be going through that shit again.
  17. So no one has been murdered, yeah?
  18. Jericho is still a master.

    NXT talk

Both shows (NXT & AEW) have had segments that hit & segments that missed so far. I also wasn't a fan of the Finn promo, nor that last match... but this Kabuki Warriors match has been a lot of fun.
  20. To me, it's another case of the same thing that is plaguing AEW: they just don't have the roster to do women's wrestling but in this day & age feel like they have to. WWE just had women main event Wrestlemania. So the other companies are all like "well we gotta push the women!" but the talent just doesn't exist because they're all already been signed elsewhere.
  21. They should give Nattie the fart gimmick back again. Her crop dusting Saudi's would be the pinnacle of her career.
  22. Here's to hoping no one gets murdered!
  23. It'll do nothing but the Vince walk & say "goddamnit, pal!" three times before saying "you're fired!"
  24. She could probably be a really kick ass valet. She can take bumps & she's really attractive. Her promo was decent enough.
  25. Please do this!
