  1. This is how we know we're old, dude. This is the shit our grandfather used to say.
  2. "The Architect™," "The Kingslayer™" Seth Rollins... and he's going to BURN IT DOWN~! Just makes them sound fucking stupid to be honest. Which is probably why they can't connect with younger viewers. It's like your dad trying to talk to you about music & still name-dropping AC/DC & Metallica. Of course, the new Smackdown theme song is an AC/DC song, so... yeah. For the sake of full transparency however, NWA Power last week opened with Dokken & I marked out, so I'm obviously just a hypocrite. (I'm also 38 years old).
  3. An hour until showtime.
  4. The reasons are because it’s P.C. to do so right now. There’s honestly not a lot of other options on the roster. Especially after Kylie Rae left. But they HAVE to make the women IMMEDIATELY. At least that seems to be their thinking. That & I think Kenny’s love of Joshi. Why does AEW even have a women’s division at all? They have like six total women on the roster. I’m not against women's wrestling or AEW pushing women or anything like that... but create the division when your roster calls for it, not before. It’s part of the reason why I disliked the initial women’s title match: your inaugural champion is either Riho or Nyla Rose? Just felt off. It’s the same shit with WWE having the women main event Wrestlemania or more recently, Becky Lynch being the first pick in the brand draft. It’s just artificial, force fed lip service. That’s why it comes off as disingenuous instead of feeling like cool, special moments. It’s not organic. I feel like if AEW acquired more women first & then debuted the belt after a few months it would have played out better. I mean, look at the PPVs so far. A lot of the women they have used so far like Awesome & Aja Kong aren’t even around. Gotta say though, what has hurt the women the most up to this point, in my opinion, has been that it feels like Jim Ross is burying them verbally every time they’re on screen. Here's the Women's Roster according to AllEliteWrestling.com: Allie Awesome Kong Bea Priestley Brandi Rhodes Britt Baker Emi Sakura Hikaru Shida Leva Bates Nyla Rose Penelope Ford Riho Sadie Gibbs Yuka Sakazaki
  5. Good. Hopefully Paul Heyman can get some cool stuff out of him. He's not the Joe of the past of course, but I still think he's got some left in the tank. He's also still a great promo.
  6. I'm not watching because I'm a Green Bay Packers fan & they're on Monday Night Football this week. Which brand did Samoan Joseph end up on?
  7. Corbin was the first that came to mind for me too but fuck, look how long they tried with him. They never gave up on him. Andrade half the time doesn't even make TV. Hell, does Andrade even have to be a heel? Why can't he be a babyface to try to tap into the Latino market? There's money in the Andrade/Zelina pairing.
  8. Andrade feels like a can't miss prospect to me. It's odd that WWE haven't tried to push the hell out of him so far. Or at least, it should be odd.
  9. Well I don't trust my own fucking addict parents, so there ya fucking go.
  10. He's the drizzling shits. I've been beating that drum since he was in Ring of Honor. I beat that drum when it was announced he signed with WWE. He blocked me on Twitter from vanity searching himself & seeing my beating of that drum. Damn near killed a guy in ROH & I'll never trust a motherfucking addict, regardless of what the addict tells you. The fact they some how got WWE to sign them to a contract in the first place, let alone re-new that shit for five years, is a miracle. Take that money because you're not getting better anywhere else. I doubt AEW would want him. If he just had a new baby, why would he want to go to Japan? He going to go back to Impact? C'mon, man. Mike Kanellis can fuck off.
  11. And he has won a lot of championships. Don't think he's going down as the greatest of all-time though...
  12. Man, I have loved Archer in 2019. That dude has come a long way since feeling like a Test rip off in the Impact Zone, drinking beer after the matches with the marks.
  13. On the bright side, after his performance in the G1, I'd be down with an Archer US Title run.

    NXT talk

I haven't watched it yet. Thank you for reminding me though. I'm going to watch the show right now. This upcoming Wednesday will be the first time I'll be able to finish the shows too, without having to leave at 9:30 for work.
  15. I thought Nyla Rose was the highlight of the first show. That bump she took off the ring apron onto the chairs was great. Came off better to me than Riho did & Riho is the champion.
  16. I was talking with my friend John after the show about how this was the only part of the show I didn't like. It felt too cartoony & Looney Tunes like to me. It was just silly. Two grown men running around the studio in slow motion. Just didn't come off looking well. The actual squash match part, the Last Call Superkick & pin was fine. Just everything before it was too much.
  17. I mean... that's a pretty hilarious fuck up but it's also almost unforgivable. That's like the entire hook of the show...
  18. They're literally drafting the wrestlers in the order they were listed in the eligible draft pool. You can't make this shit up.
  19. It's apparent with this show that WWE is not trying to have a better show with the move to Fox. This has been painful. It's just straight up bad television.
