  1. I thought Detroit was the thing Creatchman was mostly famous for.
  2. Creatchman was The Sheik's manager after The Grand Wizard. There's a funny skit when Wizard goes back to Detroit and they bicker. It has more shouting than any skit in wrestling history. Let me see if I can find it:
  3. Arn does seem to come out fully formed, although I've not seen him earlier than 85. Greg Valentine looked great in 1975 from what I saw too.
  4. We do seem to be essentially keeping our own jobbers at this point yes.
  5. I am really liking my job crew. You can see a clear hierarchy. SD Jones, George Steele, Mr. Fuji - lower midcard Baron Scicluna, Dominic Denucci, Victor Riveria - JTTS Steve King, Pete Doherty - pure jobber I want more pure jobbers.
  6. The WWF is happy to welcome back regional regulars Steve King and The Duke of Dorchester, Pete Doherty!
  7. The WWF is committed to bringing through young talent and giving them exposure and experience "for the good of the business". The WWF fans are very good at remembering faces, and, who knows, one day the young hopefuls they see on TV could see their name in lights at the world famous Madison Square Gardens. But everyone has to start somewhere. The deal consists of the following: - 3 months of TV tapings every Wednesday, the youngster will appear on WWF Superstars or WWF Challenge - The youngster will be booked to a win, win, loss pattern. First win over a jobber, second win over a JTTS, loss to a star - The youngster may occassionally be used in small angles as part of the TV, but will not be featured in stroylines - The youngster may occassionally tag with another youngster against a more established team. - The youngster, on rare occassions, may get some mic time. - The youngster will not appear at big arena shows or house shows - The youngster will not be given any title shots, any matches against champions will be considered "non-title". - Babyfaces will be under the watch of Dominic Denucci, who will ensure they are treated well in the locker room and will offer feedback on their matches. - Heels will be under the watch of Baron Scicluna, who will do the same but on the heel side. - The youngster must be aged 27 or younger. When the deal is over, the home promotion has an "upgrade" option on the scheme to graduate to "Phase 2" Phase 2 consists of: - 3 months of working MSG, Philly Spectrum, Boston Gardens and Meadlowlands on Tuesday nights plus TV dates on Wednesday as required. - The youngster will get wins against bigger names on a bigger stage, but will still be part of the win, win, loss pattern - The youngster may get occassional title shots at WWF title, IC title and Tag title level - The youngster may also be part of storylines. - All phase 2 candidates must have completed the first three months of the scheme. There are only ever SIX places available on the initial phase of the scheme. Three babyfaces and three heels. The July 1983 intake (starting July 5th running to September 28th) is: Babyfaces: Bret Hart Tommy Rogers El Gran Apollo Heels: Bobby Eaton Dr. Death Steve Williams [currently free] October 1983 intake: Babyfaces: Brickhouse Brown Heels: This means there is one spot left for a young heel to take. The WWF will consider any offers. The next intake is set for October 1983. At this point all existing candidates will be offered to graduate to phase 2 or go back to their home promotion full-time. The WWF will consider offers for the October 1983 intake (starting October 5th running to December 28th) also.
  8. I'd like to let you be aware of the Vince McMahon Sr Developmental Scheme. This involves guys coming to the WWF every Wednesday for TV tapings for a period of three months. They will work a win, win, loss schedule. Match one win over jobber, match two win over JTTS, match three loss to big star. Currently Bret Hart, Bobby Eaton, Tommy Rogers and El Gran Apollo are all enrolled on this deal. Not long ago we had The Great Yatsu also. Let me know if you want to send anyone to the big time. We could also work out something where they can work some MSG or other big arena dates if you think they need some experience in front of 20,000+ crowds working with legends in the business.
  9. Peachchaos - here is Lars kicking the living shit out of your boy Gama Singh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkipnF3LIPk Lars looks like he was a proper ass kicker. Can't believe I had him confused with Keith Larson.
  10. Seems like there's a bunch of him working for IWA in the mid-70s on youtube. Just watched him do quite a nice suplex. On the topic of the Andersons, has anyone ever seen Gene look anything but old, slow and not very good? He doesn't even look good on the Garbage Tapes footage.
  11. Just found this: Lars is doing the interview. What promotion is that?
  12. Speaking of Hawaii, I'm kind of interested in Lars Anderson. What happened to him? What was his deal? Why did he disappear off to Hawaii? Kind of a weirdly lost guy. When I said he could still go before, I actually got him confused with Keith Larson (and his appearance on Starrcade 84). He looked good in that silent match I watched from 72 vs. Pat Patterson. And I enjoyed the Ole turn involving him around 79-80, but I don't think I've seen a whole lot of Lars.
  13. Or maybe he was running a restuarant!
  14. Seem to recall that he was another guy like Toru Tanaka that did some acting work at some point. He was probably chilling in Hawaii and not wrestling when not on the AJ tours I reckon.
  15. Kris, any idea where Tor Kamata was outside of that AJ tour?
  16. Wasn't he basically there to draw in Canada?
  17. Yeah just keep the people economy going. Just figuring out a fair way to let these guys enter into it.
  18. I'd rather not do another draft.
  19. I say they get added to freelancers.
  20. Come see the dream match at the Olympic! John Tolos vs. The Sheik!
  21. What was Rookie of the Year Steve Travis doing in July 83 that he wasn't available?
  22. I'll take Tolos, you guys can deal with the rest.
  23. Yeah but it not being in italics also took an hour off the update time!
  24. How do we get these?
