  1. Too even up my roster Southeastern release Ron Ritchie, Ric McCord and Jerry Bryant...
  2. Southeastern selects Phil Hickerson, Shawn Michaels and Steve Armstrong...
  3. So me and Low Blow were talking about roster size etc and I suggested maybe in the new year we look at reducing our roster size to 32 and putting in an 6-8 person slot for Jobbers. This way we wouldn't have to use up valuable roster spots on talent that are just going to lose week in week out? If we just Southeastern as an example, I'd remove the following 4 to be jobbers Tony Falk Josh Stroud Bill Howard Gene Ligon And then add 2-4 guys as "enhancement talent". So guys may have 8 jobbers on their roster and end up freeing up 8 spots to pick up new talent? Clearly this wouldn't work if people don't have Jobbers...
  4. Could we start this, to get set for the new year?
  5. I agree, much like Goc's Southwest you seem to get the best out of everyone from top to bottom. I've seen the last month of my shows as the end of chapter one before we kick on to the new year with new talent.
  6. Love the low key but impactful first offering from Stampede. Looking at your roster its stacked, so this can only be great. And I struggle to give up Jake Roberts through wanting to book him so bad, but just don't think I could of done him justice.

  8. The working relationship of having the Von erichs once in a while will prove to be just enough for the foot in the door. That will be massive, it's no secret that the Von Erichs were the driving force behind Texas wrestling in the 1980s.
  9. Be interesting to see Mid South run Dallas, a bold move to run the Sportatorium for TV tapings, especially with no Von Erichs in this time period. Hope it doesn't go the same way as when Blanchard ran Dallas in real life. Good bit of expansion, but if done in "real life" I'd be concerned it was too big all at once especially in Dallas with none of their stars, when I say stars I mean Von Erichs.
  10. Monday 19th December 1983 Boutwell Auditorium, Birmingham, AL Bell Time 7:30pm 1. Rick McCord and Ron Ritchie defeat The Assassins via DQ at 8 minutes when one of the Assassins refused to the leave the ring and The Assassins continued to double team their opponent and in the end the referee called for the bell and disqualified The Assassins. Following the decision, The Assassins continued their attack until 4 referee's came from the back to separate them. - 2. The Lightening Express (Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner) and The Nightmares (Danny Davis and Ken Wayne) go to a 15 minute time limit. This was a very fast paced match as expected from these two young teams, where neither team got enough of the advantage to get the decisive fall. - 3. Southeastern Heavyweight Champion The Flame defeats Larry Hamilton in 5 minutes in a dominate performance. The end came when The Flame hit a Samoa Drop on the helpless Hamilton. - 4. "Bullet" Bob Armstrong defeats "The Tennessee Studd" Ron Fuller in 12 minutes when Bullet Bob hits a Jawbreaker on Fuller followed by the pin. Following the 3 count, Armstrong offers a hand to Fuller, to celebrate their rivalry, Fuller refuses and leaves the ring, almost instantly The Flame storms the ring and attacks "Bullet" Bob, these two will meet next week at Superclash for the Southeastern Heavyweight Title. - 5. Southeastern Tag Team Champions The Heavenly Bodies (Bobby Eaton and Tom Pritchard) with Jim Cornette defeat Ricky Gibson and Charlie Cook in 12 minutes following a Top Rope Alabama Jam from Eaton to Gibson followed by the pin. - 6. This match was a heated affair, that has been building for a good 6 months. The finish came when the Studd Stable had set up Johnny Rich for a Spike Piledriver only for Tommy to knock Golden of the second rope to the floor, Johnny Rich back body dropped Robert, as he got up Tommy ran the ropes and hit a Thesz Press for the win. 11. Thanks, not major but a little difficult reading on the sly at work...
  12. Could we change the font in the draft thread, can't read on my phone?
  13. Yep
  14. Southeastern has traded for the following spots.. AWA 1st and 2nd Round spots for loan of talent throughout January and Febuary Big Time Wrestlings 1st Round pick for Charlie Cook...
  15. Sherri Martel should go into the Ladies Freelancers, no?
  16. Was a great first show, setting out your stall nicely with some great talent to boot...
  17. I think I have drafted for two more spots on the 1st round, so will update...
  18. There were a few guys who are currently wrestling in our world...
  19. Yeah let's just settle stuff...
  20. And then maybe we could go a little while without a draft...
  21. Also We know where Gino is going...
  22. I'm similar, get it out the way, move on and plan....
  23. I'd prefer beginning of the year of I'm honest. I know people are against that...
  24. Did we agree when we would do the rookie draft? Is it staying monthly or all at once?
  25. Some great tag teams appear here in Mid South, and the main event is stacked, I think some great wrestlers will ultimately get lost in the shuffle. With the talent you have now, I'd like to see you create your own identity and not reply on Freelancers and loans as much and move away from them. I have to be honest, I struggle with this version of the Midnights and them being pushed very similar to Eaton/Condrey (which can't happen, I get) but two grizzly southerns don't really have the same feel as the dynamic Midnights I love. But that's my opinion. But ultimately a good show and looking forward to you using all new talent...
