  7. If you're just looking to get into a segment of WCW, my favorite era was the Dangerous Alliance angle. So....Halloween Havoc 1991 - WrestleWar 1992. Seven - eight months of just AWESOME stuff.
  8. Am I the only one who enjoyed this more than the MX vs. Pillman/Zeaman match? The aforementioned match just seemed to me get very repetitive, especially in the opening shine segment. Then the heat was way too short. Really took me out of the match, maybe I just needed more Cornette antics.
  9. By far, my favorite portion of this segment is the fact that the "Power Pin Replay of the Night".... ....is a submission. Oh, the delicious irony. Suck it, Alanis!

  16. Two that immediately spring to my mind are Scott Steiner's TV Title win over Ricky Steamboat in '92, and the Action Zone match between Bret Hart and Owen Hart that was billed as Owen's final shot at the title.
  17. Will there not be a 2000 set after 99?
  18. Dylan, you were there too? What a small world! It truly was an awesome ending to a fairly 'meh' event, Guerrero-Malenko not withstanding.
  19. Disappointed that the hype video for Sabu/Taz set to "Until It Sleeps" got cut off this.
  20. This 50 minute segment is just MAGIC and remains so to this day. I'm not sure there's a better definition of the mad genius booking of Paul Heyman than this little bit right here. For better or worse, the overbooking...the chaos....the sheer lunacy of seeing Jerry Lawler in the ECW Arena. So much fun.
  21. I got the 96 Yearbook at the same time as 97. Only hearing one song per disc is kind of weird now.
  22. I'm pretty sure they did have some big plans for Stevie, but then he injured his neck in a 4-way match at Buffalo Invasion when Terry Funk suplexed a guard rail on him. (Not sure if that's on this set or not). By the time he was healed up, both Raven and Richards were WCW-bound.
  23. Sorry, Ditch, I'm a huge Chikara nerd. JUST beat you to it, apparently.
  24. Since that time, every Chikara event scheduled for this year has been canceled and Worldwide Media Development has attempted to sell off all Chikara-related merch, including the ring setup and the Campeones de Parejas tag titles. (The Grand Championship, supposedly, 'cannot be found.')
  25. Will, the match between Icarus and Eddie Kingston was stopped right when it appeared Icarus had the match nearly won, with Kingston locked in the Chikara Special. Members of Condor Security rushed the ring and removed Icarus, Kingston and Bryce from the ring. They IMMEDIATELY began tearing the ring down and herding audience members out of the arena. Even the curtain was brought down (with certain members of the roster who had matches after intermission loitering around backstage, unmasked). As all of this is unfolding, "Director of Fun" Wink Vavasseur is eating a apple on stage, figuratively watching Rome burn while he fiddles. Whether or not this has anything to do with Derek Sabato interrupting the show and tweeting out a mysterious photo that supposedly would have consequences for Wink's father, Conrad, and his firm (Titor Conglomerate? Worldwide Media Development? I get confused)....who's to say? Confused yet? Because I haven't even brought up Archibald Peck and the multiple time-travel theories...
