This match has been pretty dull but man Orton has an awesome power body slam Okay that RKO was shocking given how stupid it would have been for Reigns to lose. Good thing he didn't
-
Yes people Randy Orton and Roman Reigns are playing the role of the divas match to calm the crowd down before main event
-
God JBL please enough already. Tell me when it is over so I can un mute the PPV
-
Well I do seem to remember Vince gushing about how great Stephanie's new tits looked many years ago.
-
Yeah this is pretty much a squash match so far which probably shouldn't happen. Really tells us that Brie just sucks in the ring
-
God damn Stephanie. If someone gets a photo of Steph in black next to Lana in white I might need a day off work
-
Wow that is how you take a horrible gimmick and make it awesome. Just a complete chaotic mess that somehow worked.
-
I love that Ambrose is beating up faces and heels in this match which is what he should do if he is nuts and desparate to kick his ass
-
Did Bill Simmons just say "weird" at the camera?
-
I think this was a great HOSS match. Russev had his best performance in the WWE and those Langston matches were really good too Since we now had a "he didn't tap he passed out" finish, does that mean that Cena is going to lose clean?
-
You know it is sad state of wrestling affairs when Russev is the one of the best sellers in the WWE right now. I mean he is holding the ankle with a twist like it really is broken Knowing him he might sell this on RAW tomorrow

I am barely getting HD quality on Roku now. I hope AJ gimmick is constantly ripping extensions out of their hair. She can go a good year with the NXT Divas alone
-
No selling a Fame-Asser when your gimmick is that you don't want your face touched is pretty stupid but at least he didn't win the match that way so I guess that is fine
-
Jesus do you need that many Germans to cover a wrestling show
-
Apparently Ronda Rousey is backstage at Summerslam with the 4 Horsewoman or as they are really known the UFC job squad. Wonder if anything is planned for her Now I am getting "playback errors" on Roku. If I remember last PPV, the stream was terrible for the first two matches and got much better
-
Really we are now getting a graphic when Booker T says "Shucky Ducky Quack Quack" Oh man RVD vs Cesaro. I am not sure if they have had a good match yet
-
What the hell is Orndorff doing talking to Heyman? Is he asking for a free shot
-
The Usos open challenge is set for Summerslam. I guess that is where they debut the Ascension and take the titles? by the way the "physical therapist" was a Lance Storm student. So the streak of guys and girls with great personality coming out of Storm Academy has stopped with her

The Jim Cornette Experience
hammerva replied to flyonthewall2983's topic in Publications and Podcasts
I wonder how much of the hate on Miz is how he got into the business and not his ability in the ring. The Miz was just some guy from reality TV that loved wresting and won Tough Enough. He wasn't a former football player. His experience on the indies was very very limited. he didn't come up in the business like most. I always look at Cornette this way. It is hard to respect his current views on the business when he thinks guys like Mike Bennett and Matt Morgan are/were great prospects and Sami Zayn and Kevin Steen sucks. -
Watch you talkin' bout? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLrulcZ9UXY Yeah, I thought that was pretty over-the-top even back then before Awesome's death. And Joey and all the other ECW mutants should realize wrestlers leaving for actual paychecks weren't the reason their promotion went under. But Joey, as the voice of ECW, would have only been playing up to the "mutants" as you put it. Effectively, he was playing a character and catering to an audience. Joey Styles is easily one of the most sane, down to earth people involved in wrestling. I don't know if I would agree with that. Joey has done interviews where he lets his feelings known about Mike Awesome. Unless this is one time he is playing a character full time, I think he was legit pissed at him trying to leave WCW with the ECW belt in his hands. Probably as bad as the One Night Stand broadcast I would agree with you

There was a credit at the end that mentioned something with Jerry Lawler. So maybe it was a commercial tape that features a bunch of Memphis. Remember seeing a bunch of those at the video stores with Lawler in a cartoon picture with 80's stuff. I know that they showed footage of Beyond the Mat as well Heyman does mention that he feel asleep where he got caught listening to the RAW meeting. He says that the battery on the phone dying was what cost him. Apparently he had some kind of plan for these meetings so he can avoid as much as them as possible. I think Heyman said on an austin podcast that he did use to listen to RAW booking meetings before that. His rationale that he was "in competition" with RAW at the time and wanted as much of an advantage as possible. In the documentary, you really get the feeling that he looked at Smackdown as a rival promotion instead of just a brand

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3

If you watched the Nixon documentary on HBO Monday and saw his view on basically every color, creed, and orientation, that is going to be a stretch of his character -

I don't know why I didn't but always thought Waylon Mercy was a character in the early 90's like around 91 - 93 right after his time in WCW. Didn't know it was in 1995 -

It sounds like the DVD are running out at stores all over the place. My guess is that a lot of people did the pre-order gimmick. Luckily my Best Buy had the blu ray. I know this isn't too surprising but so far this is an awesome DVD. Especially on the ECW stuff with tons of great backstage footage that I have no idea who did it. Documentary is really good and the extras are definitely worth it. -
So apparently not only did we get a match where the finish was on a commercial but the entire match was during the commercial. That is some Stampede wrestling kind of stuff
