Holy fuck Sam Roberts burying Baszler vs Belair as a "waste of a match" and basically saying that Belair is not deserving of a title match. Well that is a stupid ass way to build up a match
-
Gargano vs Almas winning match of the year is interesting. First of all it was in January and most WWE fans can barely remember the product from 4 months ago much less January. I personally would have had the North American title ladder match in New Orleans but it was an incredible match Not surprising that McAfee is the first one to do the joke involving the guy sucking dick for bottled water from the pre-show. Sure it won't be the last this weekend Loved Ciampa looking at the title and the wrestler of the year award he won and gave back the award

WWE TV 01/14 - 01/20 Bolsonarism is taking us to the Middle Ages

Well given that Corey Graves was calling him a hillbilly on RAW, I don't have a good feeling on it. Hopefully Otis's charisma will overcome whatever shit they think of So he is now Andrade not Andrade 'Cien" Almas. Sure why not An incredible match against Rey and hopefully building to many more matches -
Really enjoyed the Mean Gene documentary Monday. It was mostly a light hearted version but that was Gene basically. A good deal of revisionist history on his WCW run as except for his first 2 or 3 years, working with Heenan, and Flair stuff he has mentioned how miserable he was there. Especially at the end. But a lot of funny stuff. Gene telling Todd Grisham at the Hall of Fame that the mic was really just a prop and you could throw it in the toilet if he wanted to. I was curious I figure @khawk20 could answer easily but when was that AWA Ric Flair promo from? It would guess around 80-83 it seems and I would think it wasn't when Flair wasn't the NWA champion. I guess they did do joint NWA/AWA shows before the Supercard days when Gene would have been in the WWF

So I guess we will put the NXT UK Takeover talk here today. Tyler Bate is so damn strong. Have no issue with Gibson & Drake winning the tag title since I don't know if all of British Strong Style should have the belts Holy fuck they are already doing the teacher vs student match with Finn Balor vs Jordan Devlin Probably in the minority but Toni Storm winning the title over Rhea Ripley is bullshit. Rhea has been one of the hottest women on the NXT brand. But I guess you have to put the belt on her if she is winning the Mae Young Classic

Brandi Rhodes getting the same job title in this company as Stephanie McMahon is first level trolling I will admit

Well if they are wrestling fans they will watch 4-7 hours of WWE programming. Sorry that we weren't cultured enough to follow why Joey Ryan is walking to the ring with a bunch of dicks. I mean Being the Elite was fun if you want the follow what the guys were doing on the road but it wasn't until All In that it was treating like a wrestling storyline. Yes if you are going to follow AEW then you probably have to watch all of Being the Elite now. Assuming that it will be more company based and not just "hey the Young Bucks are at Cracker Barrel again"

Unless they pay Janela a shit load of money he isn't going to ditch what he currently has. He loves all of this freedom that GCW is giving him and his Janela shows are the hottest thing in the business not involving people TOO SWEET each other. Maybe AEW will allow him to do that. Hell he worked All In last year in a great match against Page. Also I am not sure if he still works for MLW which he was a regular for until the injury The biggest question for this company is who is the people looking for talent. Hopefully it isn't Meltzer because unless it was in PWG or New Japan he isn't watching it. I don't know how much of the Bullet Club was following the Powerbomb TV like promotions that have a ton of great talent to use to fill that roster. They booked Marko Stunt for All In but not sure if it was because of what he did in the ring or because of the internet buzz he got.
-
While most of this is just bitching about stuff most of us already know about co-opted media and can't control, what else is there to talk about with this promotion? All of the Bullet Club people and their friends that can be signed are signed. Shows a long time from now. So really all we can talk about is the business side of things Britt Baker is good in the ring but there are dozens of women in the business not on ROH, TNA, or the WWE more qualified then her. And hopefully they are booked and it doesn't turn into Ring of Honor women's division. The idea that we have a women's division because Adam Cole's wife and Cody Rhodes's wife is a stretch for now.

I am up to 1999 right now and man FMW is really like the Japanese version of WCW with the massive over spending, goofy gimmicks with no real story based on it, the use of women in trashy ways, and the Russo like booking of Fuyuki. Although Russo would have never lost to Masato Tanaka at the biggest show of the year so I give some credit. Also in 1999-2001 it is hard to find a damn good WCW match and FMW still has a good amount of those. The difference between 1995 and 1999 is kind of stunning.

One of the few highlights of WCW was the chemistry with Mean Gene and Ric Flair. You can judge the awesome of the promo but how long we would get MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAN GENE from Flair. His greatest strengths was his ability to say a lot without saying anything. Some of the times it would hurt him as he couldn't control himself from laughing but it was great to see. He was also maybe the best worst WWF commentator during the early 80's house shows with Gorilla Monsoon. He offered very little in commentary except his energy with the situation

Dave might not be on their payroll but if you don't think he will have some kind of "Minister of Information" role in the company you are delusional. Listen he has been a shill for everything Young Bucks in the last 2 or 3 years so why not get some money for it. The days of thinking that Meltzer is an "objective journalist" died many years ago

The finish to the Butch Reed vs Buzz Sawyer dog collar match was pretty brutal. Buzz going for this bulldog but because Butch was connected to the bottom rope his neck just snaps backwards instead. That had to have hurt like hell.

WWE TV 17/12 - 23/12 WWE stands for Women's Wrestling Entertainment
hammerva replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Apparently EC3 and Lacey Evans are also coming up as well. As a character Lacey is more than ready. As a wrestler hopefully all the work on the house shows will improve her like it has for Carmella and Liv Morgan who was just as bad -
To be fair you don't need a title for a Horsewoman vs Horsewoman feud. So smart to put the belt on her.
-
Well you knew that was happening eventually. WAIT CAN ASUKA ACTUALLY WIN
-
God damn these last couple minutes have been pure violence
-
Becky basically just sat on Charlotte from the ladder.
-
Has Charlotte ever hit anyone on that moonsault from the top?
-
Ouch that table spot didn't work right. That had to fucking hurt
-
Well at least the right man won
-
Oh wow they are trying to have dumber finishes than the original Ambrose vs Rollins feud. I would have laugh if Ambrose won off that fist stuff by the way this isn't really making Rollins look like a babyface
-
Is that a "This is boring" chant
-
The problem is that there seems to be more hate among the announcers than the actual wrestlers in the match. This definitely feels like a match that will lead to about 3 or 4 more matches
