  1. Taue was especially doing big bumps off clotheslines from Baba. I know it is the boss and all but Kawada and Taue selling at least makes up for Baba's softer looking strike offense. The thing I like about seeing old Baba in these matches is that he looks to really be enjoying himself out there.
  2. This was really good from what is shown. Boss Man is wearing his WWF outfit and even brings along the nightstick. But in the ring he fits into the AJPW style. I liked him assisting Williams with the Oklahoma Stampede. Williams showing off the strength by lifting up Kobashi while they are on the top rope and then using a overhead belly to belly suplex. Boss Man looked way better than DiBiase. I would have liked to seen more of Boss Man in AJPW.
  3. Another random interviewer/announcer WWF had in 93. Michaels has been slotted into the Lawler's spot at Survivor Series. Shawn follows Jerry's path by making fun of Stu and Helen Hart.
  4. Ha, I did not put much thought beforehand how both guys had such nice hair. Probably would have bumped up the drama more for me. Thought it was alright as I was expecting a bit more violence with it being a hair match. First fall had Dandy getting his head rammed multiple times into ring post which I thought was setting the table for more.
  5. I thought this was a tag match until Flair got the boot and then realized was end of Battlebowl. Did have some good action but I dislike the ramp "saving" people from being eliminated when the get knocked over the top rope but land on ramp. Sting survives this way so you think he will come back and get the win but he gets too much height the Stinger Splash and comes up empty. It was a good looking elimination. Austin looked like he belonged.
  6. We get some backyard wrestling with one guy running another headfirst into a wooden fence.
  7. I do not think Cornette got his Boy Scouts badge for Knot Tying.
  8. Cornette flaunts his dislike of authority by setting the Moondogs loose. They beat up some jobbers. Both Dutch and Cornette make fun of SMW security force. Express hit the ring later and they brawl using a stop sign. Not the crazy violent stuff from Memphis from the Dogs.
  9. I feel bad for the kid who missed that easy 4 foot jumper. They could not have given him another chance to hit it and show that in video instead?
  10. It has been a while since I have been drawn into the use of a sleeperhold. They really made it believable with Chigusa's facial expressions with the wide eyes closing as if about to pass out. The mouth gasping for air. I wish it was the finish.
  11. Hawk is jacked up. Neidhart in ECW?
  12. Terry Funk is not afraid of Sabu. Funk imagines Joey Styles as Paul E and ends up choking him. While being choked out Joey still does his best effort to hold the mic up for Terry to talk. What a pro.
  13. Damn. That first ten minutes of action had me thinking I was witnessing some lost match that went under the radar. Everyone looked great but I was most impressed with Flair. He was than man during this part of match. Taking it right at Vader and chopping the hell out of him. No cowering or looking weak. Ric looks so invigorated and he is play the roll as face perfectly. I also really wanted to see Flair have a feud with that Stunning Steve guy. But the later half of this match was a big step below. Anderson spent way too long of a time as face in peril. Just dragged the energy out of the whole thing.
  14. Lee almost back body dropped DWG head first on to the announcer table.
  15. Dirty White Boy gets to spank Tammy. The Dirty White Girl makes an appearance too and she is going crazy trying to get at Tammy and Lee too! Brian launched her but she kept coming back.
  16. PG-13 got very little offense in match. They bring the hubcap into the ring but don't use it as a weapon. Christopher does in front of the referee but PG-13 are the ones who get disqualified. I'd dispute that decision.
  17. Undertaker has now replaced Tatanka at Survivor Series. I like the Survivor Series music. Hart Family versus Lawler and his Knights. Bret talks about a recent survey of 15 million people who were asked who was most likely going to get his ass kicked at Survivor Series. That is a lot of people.
  18. Lawler looked over the upcoming MSG card and sees Bret Hart is not listed. He thinks it is a scheme by Hart and Tunney to have Bret wrestle as Doink the Clown.
  19. Tough life for a wrestler. Very stiff by both guys but Tenryu was laying in more shots on Hara. Tenryu is also a dick by chopping Hara in the throat a few times. Hara's upper chest area looked really beat up as match went on. Two guys really beating the crap out of each other with the audio picking it up perfectly. Strong match.
  20. Vader did powerslam himself as Flair barely touched him. The superplex off the top was awesome though. Looks great when a big guy like Vader does that move. The finish reminded me of Hockey where a team commits a penalty but the referees allow play to continue until the penalized team touches the puck. Vader hits the referee but Anderson still counts the pinfall attempt by Flair later. Ric doesn't get the full three as Vader gets his feet on the rope. So referee then just disqualifies Vader. Was like he was giving Flair the chance to get the pinfall count. Doesn't look right in wrestling. Anyways, Flair is looking strong lately as you can totally see the confidence in him. He wants a tag match with Vader and Austin versus him and Sid Vicious!
  21. Liked it too but rushing it seems to take away the early story of the match with Austin working on Pillman's throat. Brian has a history of throat issues and you know his former partner would be all over that. Commentary did not pick up on it though and then they moved to Pillman's knee instead which was a more recent injury. It also feels like they are immediately moving the feud to Pillman versus Parker.
  22. I liked the big tease for when Kandori and Nakano finally get into the ring against one another. But really enjoyed their teammates each taking shots and trying to create 2 on 1 advantages to help their partner.
  23. You remember Vince getting hit by accident with chair by Piper and getting pushed down by an angry Bret Hart. Savage tossed McMahon aside pretty hard during this. Randy has lost his cool because of Crush which leads to be being suspended from his commentary job.
  24. Nice piledriver by Sabu. Funk responded with a slip and slide floundering across the ring sell to the floor outside. I like them doing the brawling on the outside in the crowd but keeping it to the minimum. Really only happened towards end of match. This allowed for more wrestling in the ring and the more dangerous spots mean more.
  25. At least the kids can say they were young and dumb to do this stuff. The adults have no excuse.
