  1. Borga finds a nice polluted river to show how much America stinks. He has some pretty fun lines to go with a look on his face like he really horrified what he is seeing. The dead fish in the river is a nice touch.
  2. Villano III's valet dressed as the Pink Panther sets the bar for all this immediately very high. Villano gets his mask torn up right away. That second fall was way too quick. I wish Rambo would at least show some struggle in trying to kick out of the pinfall since he had not been weakened at all. The blood is flowing in the third fall. Looks like it is pouring right into Rambo's right eye too! I do not know how he is hitting those high risk moves when he probably can barely see. Third fall was pretty good.
  3. Mutoh's leg sweep while blocking a Uranage was so nasty looking. What a counter. The rolling Dragon suplexes were just as rough. One of those is enough to take on your neck but Hase eats two of them. Much better from Mutoh. Only silliness from him really was the cartwheel elbow attempt outside where he hit the railing. Hase was getting the better out of Mutoh for good portion of match. It really has been an excellent couple months from Hase though and gets even more appreciation from the crowd after the match.
  4. I found myself disliking the finish. Part of it was it came too soon with Tenryu just hitting a bunch of big moves. But also I found myself really getting behind Hase in the match. Crowd was too with the big chant for him. So it was disappointing though not unexpected to see him lose especially with it being by submission. I would have preferred a pinfall loss. Just didn't like the idea of him giving up after showing so much heart in match with his selling.
  5. Yeah, I find 5-10 hours a week to be on the small side. But I guess that would still be a decent amount of wrestling for most people to have to go through on a weekly basis. Sounds similar to WWE 24/7 when they had 40 hours of content a month. I think eventually when things have been running for a while that they will be able to add more contest on a weekly basis. Have they hired additional people to handle this venture?
  6. Matty in the House also! Public Enemy deliver a more serious promo for them. No goofiness.
  7. I wasn't completely convinced it was real until the finish. The hand strikes look much more aggressive and realistic at start of match. Then when they go to the mat I found it a bit civil like they were working. Shamrock had clear attempts at putting a choke on but seemed to half assing it. Then Shamrock slowly gets a hold on before Funaki taps out. The worked matches are much better.
  8. Hash puts Muta in a single leg crap for a few. Muta escapes to the outside and walks around before getting back in the ring. He then after just getting his leg worked on does a flip over the ropes on to his feet! I'm about get annoyed but Hash comes out of nowhere with a perfect time kick to Muta for all this nonsense. Really only thing I liked about the match.
  9. That Texas Death Match between Backlund and Patera totally blew me away. Had never seen it before. Just absolutely loved it. As vulnerable as we have seen Backlund look. Amazing crowd heat. I see that it didn't make the first WWF 80's set. Going to guess it was maybe not available when that set was released? If I'm doing a ballot now, it would be way up there. Just loved it. Great story about Tor Kamata! It can be a small world sometimes. Thought the battle royal was a fun one with Larry's antics. Hanging outside on the apron seems risky as far as getting eliminated. Johnny really does like Tony Garea. A young Sylvester Stallone must have been in attendance for one of those arm wrestling contests. The second Patera/Backlund match was disappointing. Monsoon was doing the same stuff as a referee that he would always complain about on commentary. Physically touching the other wrestlers and being biased towards one guy. He got down pretty quick for pinfalls though. But he was way too involved. Too much for even a special guest referee. Hogan versus Andre wasn't too good but agreed with those who thought they announcing wasn't playing up such a match. Too bad we don't have Dick Graham and Rudman doing commentary on Parv's Arm Wrestling Tournament Finals match. Another really fun show to listen to.
  10. Heels were almost forced to start off with Vader as he is the only guy on the team that can go the distance. Normally he should not be the first guy in. Dustin starts for his team but is selling injured ribs which makes you wonder why he was chosen as the first guy. Well other than him being the best one to get anything out of this match. Stevie Ray had some terrible looking bumping through out match. Dustin is the only one in the end who belonged out there as he bled and was using his boot as a weapon. Not a good match with a lack of heat and huge drop off from 1992 version. Bearhug as a finish?!!! Worse in that Stevie Ray kept looking over and seeing Booker in the submission but not doing anything about it.
  11. I am thinking positive about the success and content available on Network. There are plenty of PPVs I have yet to see in full that will keep me busy enough for viewing to go along with all the other DVD stuff I'm watching like yearbooks and Lucha set. I don't think they will roll out full seasons of shows though releasing maybe a month of episodes at a time for specific show would be cool. Thinking the same as Will when it comes to Home Video releases. The stuff released in the more recent years that is elsewhere in other digital forms will be the first stuff to show up. Legends House does not appeal to me but I'll at least check it out once. WrestleMania Rewind and Countdown will work fine for me when I want someone on in the background. Agreed that booking is going to be even more important going forward. I'll be watching PPVs for the first time since WrestleMania 21. If they bring back those lapsed fans who want to check out the archives. Good chance they are going to at least check out the current PPVs too. More eye balls watching. Maybe people go to a live show and buy a shirt while they are there. Network will have me giving the current produce another chance. I'll see all the PPVs for rest of year. Probably will not watch everything from Raw and Smackdown but I can skim through stuff on replay to see what is worth checking out. I don't have DVR so Network gives me more flexibility to watch stuff how I want. Searching for Barry Darsaw matches sounds like the perfect first thing to do. Interesting point on how that search by wrestler thing works. How will they handle the more protected characters like Undertaker and Kane. Another good listen and am looking forward to HHH show and the 1992 Year in Review. That WWE/Kayfabe podcast sounds like could be loads of fun.
  12. Is this the Michaels/Perfect match for WCW? Fifi is out managing Flair. Ric with the big move off the top rope to the outside on Rude! Thought was a very flat finish.
  13. Initial part of video package was good bringing back the Vader/Cactus match. But then they bring up the Lost in Cleveland stuff which should just be forgotten. Delete that and you get a pretty good overall video package.
  14. From what was shown here we didn't get much clips of Missy's boobs and ass. We did get the lukewarm tag to Roma. Not a good crowd at this show so far.
  15. I liked their TV matches so will have to check out this one in full. Crowd wasn't very lively. I was wondering where Dundee was until he came out of nowhere with that perfect umbrella shot.
  16. I don't think the baseball bat was gimmicked. Crash hits the steel ring post twice and sounds like solid wood to me. So the baseball shots looked really wicked. Someone goes through a wall. Miguel Perez misses completely on a springboard moonsault. Fat guy moonsault by Headhunter! Entertaining stuff with the use of the baseball bat.
  17. I thought Gilbert was suppose to be in this match. Sullivan is no match for Hansen. Sullivan ends up using a hammer on Funk. Very ECW type brawl. I'm not advocating guys getting hit in the head with the chair unprotected but I do not like Butcher always gets his arm up to deflect blow. Smart for his own health but a shot to that back would be more effective.
  18. Styles on voiceover. They are right up against the ceiling of the building. NWA Scaffold matches had guys hanging on and looking terrified up so high. It is a brief clip but they are walking around on scaffold like is is nothing. Does not do a good job of selling the height. Then Smith takes a crazy bump off the scaffold into the ring.
  19. Was hoping for Morton instead. Cute finish though with Bodies using an illegal double team put Gibson kicking out. Express then do their own illegal double team and Gibson gets the win.
  20. Heel Sherri is much better. WWF has transitioned away from some of their long term regulars during the year. Sherri will be in Smother's corner to keep an eye on Tammy.
  21. Welcome title change. Cornette is not happy with the Bruise Brothers and lets them know that he feels let down. Bodies will get first title shot at Express.
  22. Dutch in a tuxedo but also wearing some white gloves. Way to go all out! Cornette is the new commissioner of SMW wrestling. Bob Caudle has been given the boot. Not all good news though as we have new SMW Tag Team champs in Rock n' Roll Express. Well I'm happy with getting the belts off the Bruise Brothers. Armstrong has awful pinfall attempts where he just puts his hands on Funk's shoulders. Loads of interference and Funk gets the win. Cornette proposes the idea of IQ tests for any fans trying to get into the TV tapings.
  23. Jarrett must have the most music vides of anyone on yearbooks so far.
  24. Corey seemed to enjoy saying Tatanka in his commentary. Tatanka hits a good looking piledriver to win title. Funny to see Tatanka begging off in match as Lawler does his big comeback. Tatanka better as a heel here than in 1995. Jerry asks Tatanka if he is going to be in Survivor Series and Tatanka responds that "Of course I will". Watch out for Borga!
  25. I was cracking up so much at that referee pin count after he got bumped. He was lying on his back doing the count with barely looking at the wrestlers. Decision gets reversed and Rich walks out with the title.
