  1. I think the idea for the Titantron video came from Jurassic Park movie where John Hammond is explaining dino DNA. Hunter went full speed up the ramp into that garbage can. To that point, I thought this was HHH’s best match. The table looked like it was going to give but they were still able to hit a great looking piledriver. Match holds up well.
  2. This was semifinals for IC tournament which is why they facing each other in the first place. The Harts are now getting outsmarted by Marlena who is wearing a fake nose ring. Goldust interferes leading to an Owen win. Austin beats up Owen and then almost goes after the police. Cue Vince. He tries to have a heart to heart with Austin about his current condition. Austin’s facials are awesome during this as it looks like he's really taking in what Vince has to say. It’s a bad sell of the Stunner by Vince but who cares. The whole moment is so amazing. When Austin did the boot to McMahon's stomach, the crowd were already freaking out before he even completed the Stunner. Perfect that they did this in MSG.
  3. Big announcement that winner of Hell in a Cell will face WWF champion at Survivor Series. The Cell with have a roof on top so nobody can get inside. Sure. Shawn, complete with European title, interrupts Taker. He is sick of getting the shaft by the WWF and complains. As the first time grand slam winner he shouldn’t have to earn any title shots!
  4. He wasn’t even in the WarGames match but gets Flair’s robe. Both WWF and WCW have now mentioned Mike Tyson. Wasn't there some bidding war later on?
  5. That Brigham Young wives comment got a big cheer. Luger is now feuding with Hall and Piper sticks Larry in the mix as referee for their upcoming match. Piper says him and Hogan will face each other for the first time in a cage. Not looking forward to that.
  6. Nash and Hall are the tag champs but they seem to be spending more time with other members of NWO. Hall says the NWO are the working man’s champions and calls Larry a has been. Larry walks all the way down to the ring to confront Hall but doesn’t enter. At least Tony explains that Larry loss his temper for going down there but was able to control himself in the end.
  7. WCW should have hired the NWO TV producers.
  8. She stuck around a while longer and didn’t go to WWF until following summer. Disco had a great entrance and I liked him using a cheat sheet in the ring on how to put a figure four on (not in this match) but that would be the highlight for him to in my eyes.
  9. Goldberg don’t look like a guy who would be doing jobs. He kicks out of Hugh’s moonsault. No vignettes were used to build him up but he got a good pop for the Jackhammer and getting the win. Him and Austin were too much different characters/wrestlers.
  10. Kimberly should be in the back to hide her dancing.
  11. Oh wow!!! That double foot stomp was insane. Loads of violence in this one. Wrapping their fists with chain (not the skinny Memphis kind) and punching each other in the head. The sound was just awful.
  12. I just can’t really like this match. Shawn bumps like crazy and the early part of the match is good. But the long interference section by Rude and then Triple/Chyna is so frustrating to watch. I can't ignore this. Hart Foundation not watching what is going on from the back? It is almost 15 minutes from when Rude showed up to when finally the Hart Foundation ran down after the match was already over. Just ridiculous and made the Harts look so awful not backing up Bulldog when Bret was doing promos all year how he would fight along side the Harts. The heat Michaels had could have led to a great return match but that wasn’t happening. He doesn’t need the European title. Stuff with Bulldog's sister. I really hate this piece of garbage.
  13. Nice little spot when Undertaker sits up and Hart does a running almost sliding clothesline on him. That was really it for Taker doing the zombie type stuff. Undertaker had a strong crowd following. This is a really a good crowd. Bret high fives a fan before putting the ringpost figure four on. Hart seemed to have a counter for everything and Undertaker sold great. I’m glad there were able to pull off a very good match with each other as zombie Taker and booking hurt their previous outings. We still get a poor finish though.
  14. I've wondered about Bruno's fro as years later he would have the comb over to try to cover up the losing his hair. Could just be natural hair loss but it looked so full with the fro. Can't imagine being able to wear a hair piece as a wrestler though and it not coming off. Ivan would have got major heat if he just pulled off Bruno's wig. Bruno may have not be cranking the arm but they way he was flexing you think he has the strength to hurt someone. That criss cross finish Bruno did needs to be brought back for the Royal Rumble. What better way to eliminate someone by confusing them into running at you so you can just backbody drop them out. I probably liked the six man more than you guys. Not saying it was actually good though. They went long on the first fall and then had the next two falls happen very quickly. Wasn't balanced out right. Garea might be my MVP as he ends up getting pinned for an eight count when nothing happened to him! Albano is a indeed smarter than all of us. Blassie was using his cane also for some fencing against a ringside photographer. That fan kept screaming "Polish Power". He even had some type of little horn/cone he was using. I wish Maivia had went after as the fan kept giving him the finger. I've only seen one other Maivia match from the Greatest Families DVD WWE released. He sang nice little song before the match. I know SD Jones doesn't have the best win percentage but I thought he would get a few more minutes here against Valentine. Ted is bland during his promo. Got a kick out of Jimmy Valiant falling back into the turnbuckle as Curry was doing random gymnastics. Jerry Valiant is either rubbing some Vick's vapor rub on his opponent or trying to choke him out. Loved them brawling all over the place and the music and end credits roll. I don't think I've ever seen someone get pinned with their feet so high in the air like Estrada did. Backlund versus Sheik really good. I like Backlund's feats of strength where he looks like he bridging out of move all by himself and not needing any cooperation from his opponents. If only someone in MMA could get the fans to count along as the crank on someone's arm. A police officer ringside actually tried to take the chair from Sheik. That was funny. I'm cool with the Atomic Drop as finisher. Bob got them up in the air and would charge forward as he dropped them over his knee. Another excellent show and the additions of the Three Wise Men is great.
  15. I was a tad worried listenting to this one going in but it ended up being a very civil talk here about Bret's career. Way, I look at it. Flair has had the better career but I enjoy watching Bret more. Johnny's Stu impression was excellent. Nobody listed Bret/Owen from WrestleMania as their favorite match at the end. Unless, I missed it but that was surprising. Glad you all skipped Montreal and kept the talk about his WCW career short. Good show everyone.
  16. Vader does the catch/powerslam spot that would do him against the like of Sting and Ron Simmons previously. Nice to see he was prepared for that spot and had the counter in place.
  17. Sunny was lusting over Rude but she is in full fuck mode about Michaels. I think Shawn is wearing the same Raw hat as Fonzie.
  18. Sabu and RVD couldn’t get the full timing down on their double tag team move. RVD has more important things to do. Hanging out with Kevin Nash? He just walks out on match which makes things so much better. And it becomes a single match. Hat guy is totally lusting for Beulah. So the story is Bill was part of the mole business and was told to go out there and get his ass kicked or he would get fired? Is that true? Fonzie is fucked up bloody. He does a Hennig type sell off a Beulah clothesline. Very entertaining stuff with Fonzie bleeding like crazy. Cue damage control. Enjoyable garbage.
  19. They are still doing this WWF banner stuff. Finally the ECW guys are able to fight off RVD and Sabu. Sabu takes his sweet time hitting the mis timed chair shot on RVD. Quick segment.
  20. It’s a nice Raw baseball hat that Fonzie is wearing.
  21. Your referee is bald! Crash took me a few to get use to his non blonde look. Big release Dragon Suplex by Modest. I was expecting some over the top moves but Grady wins it with a leg lock! I'm still not behind US Indies in 97.
  22. I was beginning to think these guys were done with each other. Yay, they are head to head. So had Santo turn face? With the stipulations it was obvious who was winning but still a really good match. Casas was getting himself a Sasaki hair cut.
  23. I always felt like Bret versus Austin at WrestleMania was one of those universally loved matches. To the point I'd be shocked if anyone didn't like that one.
  24. Over the top bumping by Curt. He still ends up winning the US title. It was on Mongo? I've always felt that you needed to have a balance between your top champion and secondary belt holder. At least one of them needs to be strong in the ring. Hogan on top, you need a good technical guy with the US Title. At this point I'm not saying it should be Curt.
  25. That is golden as in Sterling Golden Boulder! Think I just got sued too. Might want to bring a shovel to the ring to bury Flair and Horsemen while your at it NWO. Sad to see Hennig kissing up to Hogan and giving him Flair’s robe. Hogan has had nothing to do with Flair over the past year but still getting his shots in at him. So we have the Outsiders Edge, the NWO Drop and now the Crucifix according to Hogan.
