  1. Jericho would've had a fair proportion of the fanbase cheering him on here. At least he's moved onto a proper feud now rather than darting around.
  2. If Vince Russo were put on trial for crimes towards the wrestling industry (and he should be) then this abomination would be presented as evidence. There's very few things that actually make me angry on the Yearbooks. Even stuff that enraged me at the time it's now just like yeah, that happened. Watching this again made me sick to my stomach.
  3. At the time Chyna was my least favourite wrestler, so I can't imagine I was too enamoured by this. The prestige of the IC Title had already been shot to pieces this year. I don't recall this stipulation ever being repeated. Jarrett departs, never to return. Yet.
  4. Don't worry about it Steph. You're one of the characters on a wrestling show. Everyone has short-term memory problems.
  5. You should've included more footage from this legendary event. Jake performing pornographic acts with his snake gives anything from the Attitude Era a run for it's money. Plus the 57 year old Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff vs The Bushwackers was a WOATC.
  6. Hard hitting anti-drugs segment, whether that was the intent or not. It's tough to believe Tammy is only 26 here. Comparing with how she looked on prior Yearbooks is alarming. In general I do have some degree of sympathy with wrestlers who got addicted to painkillers. It was the only way to make it through their ridiculous work schedules and not get fired.
  7. Mercifully Henry doesn't have a sister in real life.
  8. Poor guy. One botched move and a 30 year old man is consigned to a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
  9. It's really lame having the 'bump' off camera. It's screaming out to the audience that this is fake. The Bulldog was so far gone during his final WWF run, it's sad to see.
  10. This segment actually did a higher rating than the 1999 Superbowl. True story. The Rock and Mankind were both so great on the mic and their mismatched buddies routine was golden. Plenty of fun moments and putdowns. I spat my drink out when Mr Rocko started talking! Plus we had an ever welcome guest appearance from Yurple the Clown. IYQ Yurple. The festivities are ended when the ultimate party pooper HHH poops all over everyone.
  11. The present and past of marketing is to lie and try to get away with it. Stephanie and others in her position see the future of marketing differently. Still lie, but you can now own up to it later and nobody cares because corporations are expected to be deceitful.
  12. Surely it should be an Iron Woman match? The JWP Thunder Queen Battle from 1993 was essentially iron man points scoring, but the rules were a bit different with a mixture of singles and tag matches. Jd' ran a glut of LSD rules matches in 2000-01. LSD2000 meant that the match lasted 2000 seconds. I think that they had a variety of different rules, but it was generally whoever got the last fall before the time limit expired was the winner. So the first true Iron Woman match I can find is The Bloody vs Sumie Sakai from Nov 23, 2001. That went the hour.
  13. I'm sure the US$ were alluring for the Luchadors, but there was a price to pay.
  14. I know it's a Scott Keith joke, but calling him The Total Parcel still cracks me up. I'm not sure why Flexy Lexy needed a rebranding as he was in a main event angle. Yet here we have The Narcissist reborn. WBF! WBF! The commentators start discussing his deltoids etc. Nothing could ever match Gorilla and Jesse on the Super Posedown, so don't even try it.
  15. The dogs gave their feedback by pissing and crapping around the ring. This is the match and angle that Al Snow is best remembered for. Somehow I just included the word best whilst referring to the Kennel from Hell. I always love JR's subtle acknowledgement of a terrible match.
  16. Mad USA with her comedy funbags is probably the best interviewer since Missy Hyatt. I always appreciate any wrestling promo where Dawgs and Yards are mentioned.
  17. Nothing says fun and entertainment quite like domestic violence.
  18. The start of Stephanie's glorious in-ring career. She gets to pin J-E-Double F after he gets crushed by Test in a couple of minutes. Well I could've done that.
  19. In time honoured fashion the booker gives himself the gold. This may have been the only case where the booker began his in-ring career in his 50's. The stock of all the WWF titles were going downhill fast with all these title changes. Vince is nowhere near as good a face as he is a heel. They're desperately trying to get HHH over but are going about it in totally the wrong way.
  20. I was surprised when I saw the low prices on screen. Then again the quality of the merchandise looked like something you might find on the streets outside Arena Mexico.
  21. Bret came back to WCW wanting to have a match against Hogan. Instead he's back to being his bitch again. But it wasn't all bad news for the Hitman. If that were a real baseball bat he'd have a shattered cheek bone after that shot.
  22. Good to see Goldberg's #1 whipping boy getting crushed by Da Man once more. I'm sure that Jerry Flynn accounted for about 40 wins of the streak.
  23. Lawler was working this like crazy. Can't say I've ever seen the end result. The King finished 3rd in the Mayoral elections for those of you keeping score at home.
  24. According to the pro wrestling tape measure Foley takes a 50 feet bump. Paul Heyman eat your heart out, this is convoluted overbooking in the extreme.
