Not big news for most here but WWE fired Carlos Cabrera today. He was the latino play-by-play announcer for 29 years and certainly the voice of wrestling for a whole bunch of generations of wrestling fans. Atangana! and Por poquiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiito are two of the GOAT wrestling calls. If Tony reunites him and Hugo Savinovich in AEW he might bring a good number of latino fans with them

I keep saying this but the best formula for Dynamite is giving Punk and Dragon the first 40 minutes of TV time and the show will always be worth a watch.

I don't really care about Austin wrestling again. But if this means he has to get into a feud and he comes back with his character turned up like he did in Tough Enough, I'd for sure watch every week to watch him cut promos and do fun segments. If he comes back doing "what" and three catchphrases, no thanks. But I don't see Austin coming back and doing such a lazy/lame job, he cares too much about his character and performance to not sink his teeth into a feud (this is not 2002-3 when he was checked out). Booking him for the nth time in an interview segment were he does an appearance, stuns a guy and catches beer is whatever and same old, same old. So of course that's exactly what they want to do with him

I also don't see what the "work" from this would be about? Ok, you trick the fans into thinking you are leaving but you are not. But there is no big angle you are involved in, nor a big angle within the company for Cody to get involved in as a surprise. There's no big swerve beside his music hitting on Dynamite and him getting a big pop (and then big boos). Would it be for him to finally turn heel? It would honestly be one of the dumbest ways of turning heel I'd ever seen if that's the case.

I'm a newbie to AEW, only been watching since September. Though I do recognize his contributions to the company and the business in the last 3 years, I was bored to tears with Cody and his "Codyverse", so him leaving is a welcome development to me. Specially because it liberates 20 minutes of TV time to wrestlers I'm much interested in watching. If this is a work I'ma be disappointed as hell, lol.

Didn't Rey try to challenge them in court because WWE didn't want to lose him so Vince try to pull that fucked up "you spent XX days injured so you owe me that time and your contract doesn't end when it says it does""? IIRC they ended up granting him his release and avoid litigation.

If Hangman is able to make me care about an Adam Cole match he could stay with the belt for as long as he wants. You forget shocked, then sad/painful face Adam Cole makes when a Panama Sunrise over the AEW belt doesn't give him the W.

Page impressed the hell out of me with that match. Made it memorable in a setting not a lot people would've been able to.

That was really dope. FTR at their best and Punk/Mox were a great babyface team. Might be best AEW TV match so far this year and that's saying something.

Fucking awesome tag match.

I wonder what's gonna be the last straw. There's been a couple of times it seemed they were the right moment to pull the trigger for his Wardtista moment but I at this point I'm not sure what's gonna take for him to finally make the turn. A title shot makes sense but that seems like a long time from now.
