Dustin hitting Code Reds and Canadian Destroyers is my least favourite thing about him, but I popped when they teased the destroyer but he hit the piledriver instead. It was a good holy shit spot that got me biting on the nearfall. The match was all kinds of awesome.

Yeah, as I said before, ths problem was not the promo as much as the fact that he debuted in a terrible WWE-esque wedding segment that might be the worst segment AEW has ever done. When Pillman Jr. and the jobbers were doing their sorry shtick, I was reminded of the Mick Foley this is your life segment for John Cena that was so famously terrible Cena actually said on air that it was worse than Katie Vick. He debuts as part of a joke angle with a complete dork, for some reason cuts a really serious promo for 30 seconds, and then goes back to doing awful comedy again. None of it ended up meaning anything imo. It doesn't mean I am no longer excited for Miro in AEW, but it was a lame way of debuting him.

Yeah I loved the match. Good way to end the show
-
I didn't have an issue with Miro's promo. I do have an issue with him getting saddled with Superdork himself. Hopefully they quickly dump that.
-
Lol While that wedding thing might have been the worst segment in AEW's young history, this FTR one was amazing
-
Mox has developed into a tremendous promo
-
Why would Jericho form a tag team with the worst wrestler in AEW instead of Sammy Guevera
-
This match is like a bad ECW tribute
-
I am excited Rusev/Miro is here, but yeah, Kip Sabian is the dorkiest dork on the roster and this was a bad way to debut him. When he came out, I was really hoping he would kill Sabian

MIRO DAY MIRO DAY MIRO DAY

Jake is an excellent promo to no one's surprise, but Larcher is a great promo as well. When was the last time an American promotion had so many excellent promos on its shows?
-
One of my best friends who actually posts here every now and then has been calling for the Lucha Bros to break up for months now, about how they are two completely different kind of stars with main event potential, and that segment made it feel as if the breakup might be imminent.

An MJF-Jericho program would be nice. Jericho can turn face and finally have a great face run

Snowden is an excellent historian with a long history of being an asshole (and stupid) on wrestling forums including this one. He also deleted his tweets and then flat-out lied about what he said, so whatever cred he had is gone.

Feels like a very significant episode of Dynamite. It's their first time a PPV has received mixed reviews and there are questions about their booking directions. Cannot wait for Matt Hardy to justify nearly being killed
-
He RKO'd him before pinning Rollins. It was clear he could have chosen who to pin. He also hit the RKO after a back and forth match yesterday and put Lee down with it and Drew interfered immediately after to end the match. You can argue that one RKO would not get a 3-count but it is clearly booked to be virtual victories imo
-
Is there a reason Orton has been booked to have 2 virtual wins over Lee in 7 days after they gave Lee a win that actually put him over? Between Roman and Bayley-Sasha, Smackdown has become a far better show than Raw, which is a reverse of how they were a couple of months ago
-
As if the show didn't have enough actual problems on its own, a complete non-issue was briefly blown up about AEW apparently banning reporters asking tough questions from their media scrum, something which has now been definitively debunked. I am not sure of all the details of how it started, but to absolutely no one's surprise Jonathan Evilclown Snowden is in the middle of it all
-
The plus side of the show was Mox putting in an excellent performance as the ace champ. Ue might be the best world champ in wrestling right now
-
He calls out questionable WWE medical calls all the time. He did say he thought the match should have been stopped, but he kept going back to the doctor defence and it was annoying
-
Meltzer saying again and again that "Doctor Sampson cleared Matt and he is the doctor!!" is annoying as fuck. How many hack doctors has he seen in his 40 years of covering the business?
-
The justification that Matt felt okay and wanted to continue is a patently absurd one. Wrestlers always want to go on. Fighters always want to go on. The entire point of protocol and doctors is to protect them, sometimes from themselves.
-
I REALLY hope that was not a fuck finish. Its one of those things that's fine when done once or twice but if done consistently, makes your stipulations mean nothing. The paradigm shift finisher aside, i thought the match was excellent and MJF looked great in defeat. I dunno, I think this show was a lot better than the consensus I have seen on social media so far
-
The Jaaaawn thing in hindsight is clearly one of those things that could work with Cena and Cena alone cuz he really was unique. Its time to kill it
-
It's not just the matches though. In terms of the larger narrative booking, this show has been really good. I really think if the Matt Hardy disaster does not happen this show would be much more positively received. Tbf that's a big if. The promo for the main event made me think they are going to try and book MJF to look good in a loss. They recognise he did not look main event level
