  1. That Danielson promo at the end was tremendous.
  2. Swerve-Danielson has become a really hot feud. The All in build is great
  3. lol Hangman is awesome, what a great promo
  4. This Toni-May feud has been extremely well-done. Hot feud. No way Mariah gets booed in London tho, right?
  5. Good match between MJF and Fletcher, but it was a bit amusing how Ospreay seemingly quite easily got out of the room where he was "trapped", but chose to do so only after the match was over
  6. I find most doomsday opinions about AEW and how they have become "end-stage WCW" or TNA to be spectacularly misplaced and ludicrous, but if they sign Shane McMahon, it will truly feel like the death of the identity that made AEW an attractive proposition in the first place, something that will actually get me to stop watching
  7. Great follow-up promo from May. Great brawl to end the show but I am totally over this EVP angle. Fast getting on par with the Devil angle in terms of cringe and awfulness. What the fuck is happening with the six-man titles, this is disgusting.

That was delightful. I doubt Mariah will be able to stay heel for long. Excellent angle, this time they did not wait before pulling the trigger

He hasn't had a featured feud apart from the short (and very good) Eddie Kingston CC final angle for almost 2 years now. He has talked about retirement before, he might be winding down. Maybe winning the IWGP world title was part of his bucket-list

Came back for the final seconds of whatever that was and I see they did not even bother to have a plastic wall or something behind that drywall sheet

Thanks Jericho for coming out. Time to take a shower and have breakfast

Bryan and Swerve are going to beat the shit out of each other while being on the same team in War Games. At least someone will be beating the shit out of someone else in an AEW War Games, so that's good

I was sure they were going to do the predictable and have Jarrett turn on Bryan. It's exactly what Jarrett's BFF Vince Russo would have done. Glad they didn't go down that route. Swerve has such presence, he has proven me completely wrong
  14. Danielson takes a sick pleasure in making everyone feel legit concerned about his safety. I love it, truly the GOAT, the last pro wrestler
  15. Heel Mercedes is one of the best ever. Incredible episode of Dynamite. Swerve is my world champ and he is the fucking man
  16. I wanted to give props to brother @Matt D for this wonderful line - "Bumping is a truth framed by lies. Selling is a lie framed by truths" Link to the article - https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2024/07/aew-five-fingers-of-death-624-630.html?m=1
  17. Ospreay is massively over, and I thought that Swerve would kind of fizzle out once winning the title. I was wrong. He has been tremendous as world champ. Ospreay won't be hurt at all by waiting a bit before becoming champ. Roof blew off for Britt lol, no one can deny she is a star
  18. Also, I have always preferred Bret-Bam Bam from KotR 1993 to Bret-Perfect
  19. The two Danielson-Hangman matches are definitely my favourites but they do need some context - Danielson running through all of Hangman's buddies, even Danielson-Omega
  20. Also, it's not really a "match" match, but Austin-Owens from WM 38 was something I enjoyed tremendously, more than the Rock return main event tag against Cody/Rollins, and the two Roman-Cody matches, to say nothing of Roman-Brock. I am probably in the minority regarding that, but Austin's presence, charisma, his understanding of how to milk the most basic spot for maximum effectiveness, all played a part in turning this match into something far better than it was supposed to be.
  21. Been really interesting to follow your thoughts on these matches. I love Punk-Kingston, it's one of my favourite matches of this century tbh. Punk was doing a lot of Bret Hart tribute spots during his AEW run. It would get ridiculous sometimes. I am sure tech-savvy people have made compilation clips of this. He fucked up doing the figure four on the turnbuckle once against MJF. FTR v. Young Bucks from AEW Dynamite in April 2022, Darby Allin v. Miro from a May 2021 Dynamite, and some Sting/Darby tags, including the Sting retirement match from AEW Revolution 2024.
  22. Great thread. Would be interested to hear your thoughts on CM Punk v. Eddie Kingston from AEW Revolution 2021, Punk-Mox v. FTR from an AEW Dynamite episode, Bryan Danielson v. Ricky Starks, AEW All Out 2023.
  23. Happy birthday!! Dynamite had a lot of great things but felt like a Raw episode far more than has been the case this year. Doing both the EVP angle and whatever shit Jericho is doing at the same time is overkill imo. Thank God for BCC. Toni Storm's gimmick never jumped the shark for me and now I am honestly enjoying it more than ever. Also, I am really liking Swerve's title run too, even if he is not the clear undisputed top guy.
  24. His Twitter likes are enough to show his alt-right views. Can't really talk about people being terminally online when it comes to Kevin Kelly, given how he is always online. Love how even in his version of events, he comes across like a complete douchebag. Invoking Hana Kimura's name, and talking about how he went off on Riccaboni for wearing a cowboy hat, like somehow people are going to listen to that and be like "Oh you were totally right!" Fuck that guy indeed
  25. 30-year anniversary of El Classico today!
