  1. What's especially silly about all of this is none of it is going to overshadow Charlotte in the end. She consistently looks the best on promos and has legitimate star presence. As good as Ronda is in the ring, she's a bumbling idiot out there most of the time on the mic. I don't see the Becky character sustaining itself with post-Mania over-exposer when she's an active worker. Hope they prove me wrong, but I really don't see either of the Twitter girls being the focus of the company like Charlotte is going to be.
  2. So interested in what like, the emotional core of this film is going to be and what they choose to use as character motivation and what historical event they choose to build the climax around. Also is that a typo, did he mean the mid-to-late 1980's? Because otherwise it would totally make sense for Flair to appear in the 90's if they're doing the WCW era. Again, not really sure what the climax of the Hulk Hogan narrative is here, but will they cover the steroid scandal or does it all end at III?

    NXT talk

Wouldn’t it be nice if they just worked a brawl around punches and strikes without any neck bumps and instead of going for a New Japan epic they actually worked the match like the end of a blood feud? Guaranteed it’ll be some ridiculous overkill gimmick match instead, with Ciampa falling from the Empire State Building. Love the feud but it needs a really simple finish with Gargano going over clean not a nuclear warhead going off like they seem to want to book this thing.
  5. I'd put money on it being an Owens creation. Ambrose must truly hate working for WWE if he is willing to leave his wife and friends with that kind of support.

    WWE Hidden Gems

Sailor Art Thomas is a local legend so any newish footage of him is welcome along with more Omni goodness.

  8. The Stunner's just been on the shelf for so long. The DDT slowly trickled away from Jake just like the Thesz press and everything else. In the early 00's I remember the older guys like Funk and Lawler using it a bunch on indies as a universal finisher like the DDT or the piledriver. One of Steen's best traits as a worker is his creativity, so I expect him to get this over like the Diamond Cutter where it can hit from anywhere out of nowhere. It's a good move and should be used as a finisher or sparingly in big matches.
  9. Owens looked good but that whole segment felt like it was building to him turning on Kofi. That's not exactly what I want, but now he just looks like Kofi's equal. It will be interesting to see if this kills Kofimania at all or they're being smart and all of this will just keep him hot until Mania.
  10. Hopefully we get a PPV match between Rey and Andrade.
  11. Shaping up to be another exciting night of wrestling TV from WWE. I'm getting a little worried here actually.
  12. And by this logic Flair-Hansen is almost certainly somewhere in the vault. The Portland Chain Match is lost to history. They didn't tape any house shows and we're lucky to have what we have. The Kansas City title change is such a huge historical moment that if the whole match was out there, we certainly would have had it for years one would think. Mid Atlantic (JCP) didn't seem to tape much of their early 80's house shows, all we've ever seen was from the Garbage Tapes and handhelds. The MTV broadcast of the Brawl to End It All is interesting. There's a YouTube commercial for an airing of both specials, so presumably they did reruns of them both at times. There's no shortage of VHS tapings of MTV, so it really seems like this has to be out there somewhere. Strange it hasn't turned up yet tbh.
  13. I know I'll get heat for this but whatever. I can't help but viewing this moment as a prophetic image in time, as WWE gives us the best Raw since the Invasion and Kenny Omega was literally streaming himself playing video games on Twitch.
  14. I know he beat up Ric Flair at his own birthday party but Dave is instantly the most unique looking and badass mf on the roster, no way he gets a heel reaction against Hunter. So of course that's exactly how they'll book it.
  15. Sweet f'n goodness. Kayfabe ain't dead ya'll.
  16. don't think we're getting The Rock or Batista this show doesn't need them anyway
  17. Wow somehow Ronda recovered and that turned out to be an incredible segment
  18. Ambrose officially written out of history?
  19. "I'm in remission ya'll" Amazing moment.
  20. Florida's pretty close to Atlanta
  21. Honestly I've been thinking about this last one all day. Would pay top dollar for a singles match with Becky tbh, but even seeing those wild eyes on WWE TV would pop me.
  22. Not to be overshadowed is the first Boss 'n Hug Connection defense and more of the NXT Four on the main stage. Also Bryan is reporting on Observer Radio that
  23. At this point I don't see how it's humanly possible to sit thru Raw every week. Even listening to a complete review of the show felt like a chore. Really excited for him to watch Smackdown this week since the action is usually world's better. The real ticker would be for him to watch NXT, I think he might even enjoy the program.
  24. Hard not to look at this as anything but a net gain for AEW if they're interested and I can't imagine they wouldn't be with the Rhodes family connection and all. The roster is already stacked to the gills but production staff with his experience will be invaluable.
