You're killing me, Smalls. The Era needs a run on top of NXT with Riddle and Dream chasing Bay Bay and Roderick needs a run with the NA title. Dream just needs more time to develop himself. Fully expecting Black and Ricochet to go their separate ways during the Shakedown. Wouldn't mind them as a team long term though. From Triple H's media call today, Lars Anderson seems likely to return after Mania. And I guess either Ronda or Brock sticking around will be somewhat of a surprise.

Don't think she has access to a VCR until tomorrow iirc

Roman is pretty much the golden goose and should never lose ever again. A loss won't hurt Drew at all since this is the biggest match of his life and he's the heel who deserves some comeuppance. That said, given their track record, I'm fully expecting a non-finish to build to a stipulations match at MITB.

Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard

My thinking too. Seems entirely plausible that a free agent with so many connections would be backstage at the big event. -

The best possible way to do the 4 Horsewomen pose and avoid it turning into a kayfabe-killing curtain call would be to echo WMX and have Becky, Sasha, and Bayley celebrating with their belts and Charlotte on the outside looking in like Owen Hart. -

It seems as if a lot of the noise is coming from a large group of non-viewers, so the first one doesn't even apply since they're not actually watching. A lot of people hate the WWE and will never enjoy the product. I get it. There are valid criticisms of the product and the corporation as a whole. Focusing on tiny insignificant storylines from a distance is useless. It's just internet noise at this point. If you really start critiquing the product as a whole, the last thing that would matter would be title changes and wrestling storylines. The announcers and production choices are enough to turn you away. Most of the year, outside of Rumble to Mania, I tune out because of those issues. And when I do tune in, I'm not expecting them to have fixed everything. I'm expecting to get the 2019 version of The Road. Has it been good wrestling, necessarily? I don't know, but it's been exciting and entertaining and that's what I come back for. There are so many other options for non-WWE wrestling right now that it's exhausting to read these same criticisms every week. If only people would get as vocal about stuff they do actually enjoy as they do the stuff they loathe. Like Orange Cassidy lighting the world on fire! But also, it's Christmas time and while I know Santa Claus ain't real, I'm in the spirit and there's a whole lotta Scrooge's out there right now. We are on The Road, people! -

It's always on a weird taping schedule and half the roster is seemingly working the states at the same time. Also doesn't help that OTT is doing the exact same thing (with the same talent even) with more focus and drive in every aspect of the product. -

Anyway, I thought both Raw and Smackdown delivered this week. More goodness from the Angle retirement tour and some hot angles to boot. Excited for NXT tonight, even if it looks to be complete filler. NXT UK is a good example straight-forward booking making a product completely dry and dull. I'll keep watching (because WALTER) but this is the show most in need of some wacky WWE shake-up. -

Wow. So why are you even going this hard about it if you don't even watch? I certainly won't be debating this with any peripheral viewers, that's for sure! -

Completely untrue, aside from the master class Bret put on with Austin, it's a total dud top-to-bottom. That's probably the worst build besides the main event of X-7 if we're being realistic. -

I know you're reaching...but my point is that even one of their most fondly remembered years is full of questionable decisions. They did consider a 3-way main event. Rocky DID win the IC title only a month before the show instead of at the actual show. Somehow a show that was supposed to be Bret-Michaels II became Undertaker-SID. Even a straight-forward Bret-Austin match had Shamrock lumped in there. The view never changes. -

Rest assured if they knew what they had at the time, they would have killed it dead. The plan was Austin-Davey until Shawn dropped out only a month before the event. The WWE season is very clearly focused on Rumble to WM Raw. It's a lot like baseball where most of the year is just complete filler until shit heats up. They've gone out of their way to book newsworthy angles every week. It's not prestige TV and it never will be with 5 hours to fill every week. But this is easily the best they've done since New Orleans. -
That's more like it. 1996 Austin is pretty much my favorite worker and all we've ever seen between him and Michaels from that year are a short Raw match and a stinker from Kuwait. Highest hopes for this one delivering.

We're still not 100% this is even going down this year. I love Asuka but she has no business having a singles match on this card. Crowd would have been dead no matter her opponent and it would have majorly devalued the belt. -

This elevates Charlotte, the title, and the division. None of this was going anywhere with Asuka. She could have held the title for 2,804 days and it never would have gotten over since she just doesn't fit in that role of perennial champion. Now Asuka can play Kofi if the fans are up to it and maybe get some actual support down the road. -

I have no problem with the title change. It was dead weight in Asuka's hands. If anything, this elevates the title from being bottom tier to main event status and creates another newsworthy moment in that build. Whether they unify the belts or not, this was a smart move. And they always leave a little in the tank for post-Mania. The event has never really functioned as the season finale we all book as in our heads. -
omg I can't wait although this may be a rematch and not the miracle worker footage
-
Pretty sure I was more hyped for WM 14 than anything ever in life. Mike Tyson was in D-Generation X. Stone Cold was obviously winning the title. Shawn Michaels was working paralyzed. The year long build to Undertaker finally facing his dead brother. Owen getting revenge on D-X for Montreal. The dumpster match and the introduction of the hardcore style.

Had to Google it, but yes. Guess what network that show aired on? These guys are manufactured celebrities. Pete Rose got heat because people knew what a dirtbag he was in real life. That shit was awesome. This is just filler. edit: lowest rated Emmys in history fwiw -

There is just no way you can compare those unfunny hacks to an actual talent and draw like Money Mayweather. They're not celebrities, nobody knows who they are as actors or comedians. They represent a brand (SNL/NBC) and are only on this show to fulfill some corporate advertising agreement. Which wouldn't be terrible if it resulted in something entertaining and interesting. I couldn't care less about how this effects Braun other than it's not something anyone wants to watch. It's lame and boring and exposes the industry. Trifecta. -
