    NXT talk

Really strong show tonight with all the tag matches delivering on top of some good storyline building packages and segments. Looks like Riddle is going after Dream, which should eliminate either of them from going for the vacant title. Seems like Cole is both the popular and natural pick to carry on with Goldie. Question is, how do we get there? My vote is for the first ever NXT Rumble but most likely we'll get something closer to a multi-man ladder match.
  3. Along these lines, I think Tenryu is a serious contender since they pretty much make the criteria for this up as they go. Undefeated at WrestleMania, worked two Rumbles, and was part of the death of the Undertaker fiasco.

  5. This is off-topic but there's no good spot for it anyway. Janela just announced LA Park vs. Masato Tanaka for Spring Break.
  6. This is all pretty rad. But, like, metaphorically it doesn't exactly fit since thankfully they're not being pushed as lovers. Still cool though.
  7. Hunter definitely recovered after all the shoot nonsense and did deliver a strong intense promo in the end. But the bad stuff was bad. This is the way to go. Bonus points if they can somehow work Charlotte into it even just for one still frame of the three of them posing.
  8. Shield vs. Lashley's Lackeys for Fastline announced
  9. Oh there was a really silly shooty crying promo from Triple H that nearly killed my interest but Batista was good in his instagram video
  10. Shield reunion + Rousey heel turn
  11. Yeah, this shit sucks. Earlier today I was feeling pretty hyped for Raw and then I realized what a complete mark I must be to think this show would be watchable two weeks in a row.

  14. Yes, please.
  15. Sure, and in a year's time, if you were to watch all this stuff again, there wouldn't be any references to the Tweets and those could all be forgotten. Thing is, more people follow wrestling on the internet than actually watch it on TV, as evidenced by the fact that something worthwhile (like Roman's announcement) brings some of that audience back to TV. So for MOST people, the Tweets and the Mania blowoff will be this feud. Most likely. Theoretically.
  16. Okay, I asked retired Wisconsin indie worker RAF (Reverend Axl Future) over at DVDVR about this card and here's what he had to say: He also told this unrelated but highly entertaining bit about a different promotion:
  17. this is exactly what I'm expecting too
  18. Yes, TA was named after Selleck's character from the hit 80's American TV series Magnum, P.I. Another show consistently in the highest rated shows of it's initial airing. The mustache thing wasn't a meme until the 90's when he did the run on Friends. Mel Gibson, Kurt Russell, Chuck Norris, Van Damme, Dolph Lungren all had some rugged wrestler looks as well.
  19. Three Men and a Baby was unavoidable in the late 80's (the sequel too). Magnum PI reruns were a staple of 90's USA Network programming. He's always been a star, has had a hit show for the past decade consistently in the top 20 most viewed shows.
  20. I know it seems silly but Sellek was top billing in the biggest box office draw of 1987.
  21. Fantasy booking in this moment & I think the best way to go would be for Charlotte to beat Ronda at Fastlane with Becky's interference and have a Becky-Ronda singles match at Mania, which Becky obviously wins but then still can chase the title. Then you double down on Charlotte and have her go against Asuka again winner take all. Granted, that would kill Asuka dead, but that second Women's belt is just floating out there in the water.
  22. With Lord Alfred as his butler??
  23. There's always the chance a replay is somewhere in that collection. I'll never let this horse die!
  24. If Arnold had worked at any point in his career he would have been the biggest attraction in wrestling history. That being said, Flair didn't have anything close to an Arnold body. Swayze had the wrestler look too, but again, these guys are way out of Flair's league. Tom Sellek is worth mentioning too, since they based a gimmick off his looks. I always wanted TA to have more of Secret Agent/Private Investigator flare to his gimmick. Shame he never got to work for Vince. Against Fuji Vice!
  25. Yeah Tony is missing most of July 1984 unfortunately. I checked around some private trackers and they all seem to have the same collection as Tony.
