Psst, guys... It's A-li-yah. https://www.wwe.com/superstars/aliyah
-
I'll take Aliyah over Raquel any day of the week. I almost wonder if they're winning, because they're such a middling team. It makes no sense that they made it past the first round, never mind to the finals. The result seems like a foregone conclusion otherwise. Edit: And I'll be damned - Aliyah and Raquel actually did it.

Riddle has the worst facial expressions this side of Dominik Mysterio. Actually, I take that back: Dom's facials are awesome whenever he sells - Riddle just looks constipated.

What's up with Kurt Angle's teeth? Did Roman's orthodontist pay him a visit?

You'd think Sammy would've learned this lesson after spending the past several years as the pimple on Jericho's ass.
-
Is this a French expression?

Sammy via Fightful Select: https://www.patreon.com/posts/sammy-guevara-of-71033670 Unlocked article that's making the rounds anyway, so I quoted the whole thing.

Who the hell is Sammy to say anything? Bet he wasn't making snide bitch comments about Jericho's physique.

Everyone has been fixated on the Punk-Hangman issues, but apparently Eddie Kingston was suspended after getting into a verbal altercation with Sammy Guevara? https://www.f4wonline.com/news/aew/eddie-kingston-recently-completed-aew-suspension-after-verbal-dispute-with-sammy-guevara If this is true, I can see how the two would be oil and water. Eddie probably sees Sammy as a pampered rich kid who was chosen to be a pillar instead of earning it, and Sammy probably thinks Eddie is a bitter uncouth loudmouth with a chip on his shoulders. It's easy to side with Eddie, but both are probably true.

No All Out main event announcement to end the show. Probably the smart play. It's in TK's best interests for everyone to spend all week talking about this and dissecting it from every angle.

WTH was THAT?!

Rosa has been a total dud as champion. Probably not entirely her fault.

Honestly, the segment missed the mark for me. I couldn't take the "conflict" seriously. And it doesn't help that Garcia still comes across as a fan, which may very well have been the intention here, but his mic work is still more than a bit unpolished, to say the least. Like Serena Deeb a few months back, it was a case of good verbiage but sloppy execution.

Johnny Gargano looked like a fucking star! Imagine respecting continuity and respecting the NXT audience, and they in turn responded in kind and respected Gargano and treated him like a big deal.
-
It's okay, he has a black daughter. (Yes, in case anyone couldn't tell, I'm obviously being sarcastic.) That was legitimately a defense made on his behalf, though, when Hayes was a guest on Legends with JBL.

Replacing someone as savvy as Double J with a Q-Pilled walking PR disaster like "The Real Double J" Jesse James? With boneheaded moves like that, the bloom is already off the rose when it comes to Trips being considered "smarter" and "better" than his predecessor.

Jeff Jarrett is reportedly gone.

Those quotes are a year old and are being regurgitated as new now.

I do, and I cannot believe everyone else on PWO is actually falling for it. Punk mentioned both Hangman and Eddie Kingston in his promo - people he's feuded with in the past - with both rivalries still having plenty of juice left for them to pick right back up where they left off. Plus, the Punk heel turn has been building for months now, with none of the top babyfaces trusting his sincerity. This all part of the longform storytelling AEW really excels at.

I like the idea of pinstripe pants in general, but they look sloppy on him IMO. Omega being wrapped in foil practically is the look I should have commented on. I can't believe he'd really come back if he was still that banged up, so I have to believe (and hope) they're telling a story with his gear. Next week's show is going to be a banger! I can think of one match that would be bigger. Punk vs. MJF II Doesn't necessarily need the title either (although I'd prefer it with the title) - Mox could easily win and unify the titles after MJF interferes.

Idolo's baseball pants are the shits and totally kills the cool factor of his mask during his entrance.

Except in terms of in-ring talent, charisma, credibility, aesthetics, believability, and just about every other metric, sure. I'd rather see Rhino throw a potted plant into the wall again than throw Janela across the ring.

Wha...? Eddie Gilbert had more talent and charisma in his pinkie finger than Joey Janela has in his entire body. The first time I saw Eddie Gilbert, I was glued to the screen because he had presence. The first time I saw Joey Janela, I wondered when time travel became possible and how a 1980s preliminary bum was able to use the technology to show up in 2020s AEW. Actually, scratch that - '80s and '90s jobbers had more personality than Janela.

Smart business sense, for Rock and everyone else. What makes more sense? Combining Shazam and Black Adam into one bloated movie where nothing gets time, or getting three major movies (Shazam, Black Adam, Crossover Movie) out of it. Ditto for expanding the Fast universe. Plus, Vin Diesel is a major candy ass who's impossible to work with, so there's that.
