-Let the war begin...or continue depending on your point of view. Early reports are coming in that Jack Tunney has wielded his power in Toronto and Lutte International, who planned on running in the Gardens has been moved! Tunney has signed some kind of an exclusive deal with the WWF to hold a special event in the Maple Leaf Gardens tomorrow night. There will be three live matches and then WrestleMania will be shown. Needless to say these shots have been heard all throughout North America and the issue with Lutte International and the WWF, on the cusp of WrestleMania is at an all time high.

WWF Superstars Vince McMahon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from Allentown, PA – Agricultural Hall Scott Casey defeated Ken Raper -The Dallas Cowboy himself Scott Casey comes out and does some nice work tonight. His relationship with Blackjack Mulligan is brought up as they talk about his big match with Ron Bass here this evening. In the end Scott Casey with a big Bulldog and the 1…2…3! Brutus Beefcake w/ Jimmy Hart defeated SD Jones -A fun little showcase for Brutus who handles SD Jones with ease and then we see him try and cut the hair of SD Jones but we see Tito Santana run down and try and break it up. Brutus backs off as we will see Tito and Valentine tonight but Tito wants his revenge. The Killer Bees defeated Johnny Rodz & Bob Bradley -An exciting contest here for Brunzell and Bradley who put it on the line here. They nail a great double suplex for the three count. Kamala w/ Roddy Piper defeated Rick McGraw -A pure destruction job here for Kamala who kills Rick McGraw. He literally isn’t moving when it is all said and done. Roddy Piper gets on the microphone and he verbally eviscerates Hogan… Roddy Piper; They gave me an open microphone… they gave me the main event at WrestleMania… the biggest show in the history of this sport and I get to face Hulk Hogan… the man who has the red and yellow running through his veins right… well folks… you go buy a ticket to Madison Sqaure Garden… you buy a ticket at your theater and you watch. You watch all those men come and go before the main event and when you hear the bag pipes… you see the smoke clears… it is going to be me and you Hogan. No Hulkamaniacs are going to help you. No political power you have is going to keep you safe. No referee is going to be able to pull me off of you. And you better damn well know that Muhammad Ali can’t touch me and if he tries I have got a right hook right here ready to go and the left… the left I am keeping for you. I am going to put you down in front of 20,000 fans in Madison Square Garden… millions of people all over the world… I am going to walk out with the WWF Championship and Hogan… there ain’t a damn thing you can do about it!! I just got through he 1988 wrestling challenge series and it is funny how they introduce someone around this time... but they don't wrestle at the PPV. I am sure Hillbilly will find some type of role if not being out at one of the closed circuit locations ala Big show @WWF New York lol.

I'm not saving anyone, everybody is at risk! EDIT: Next time I will do 1-52 weeks instead of 1-12 months though. I do like the idea of 1-52 for the number generator as a hybrid to go with the dice/36 down to one option. I may do that as well... problem I always find is I do the generator like 5-10 times with my eyes closed before really "settling" on the number.

If you want to throw up a list, that would be great.

-It is a media blitz in the final 24 hours for the WWF as they push to the big event tomorrow night in Madison Square Garden. WWF stars are all over the Tri-State area pushing the event and even causing some commotion. At one of the press events today in Time's Square, Roddy Piper got physical with Hulk Hogan and had to be restrained by other wrestlers. Piper is going around saying that he is into business for himself and he will be the man when all is said and done. Bundy, Race, and Bobby Heenan all made claims that once the main event is finished, they are going to cash in their opportunities to face the world champion... whomever it may be. Andre the Giant and Randy Savage soon by the Hulkster along with posing with Muhammad Ali as they put the heels down. -Antonio Inoki is said to be flown in for the event and some have even speculated that he will be teaming with Hogan and Andre in the upcoming house show loop after Mania. Nothing has been confirmed. - Park of the negotiations with Inoki also proposed a special WWF tour/joint show in Japan with the JWA. Giant Baba has already met with WWF officials and is said to be very close on a huge Summer Summit show sometime later in the year. -Some local territorial promotions were trying to curry favor with fans at the WWF events today, but security pushed them away by force. -A lot of riding on the events of tomorrow and how the WWF will do with this huge show. There are some who think the WWF is going to forego house shows this weekend, run television based off of old tapings and clips from WrestleMania, and then run the weekend loop in Chicago and Detroit. No word on how that will shake out.

WWF Wrestling Challenge Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby The Brain Heenan in studio Matches from Allentown, PA – Agricultural Hall The Youngbloods defeated Los Conquistadors -Good showcase for Mark and Jay who put a nice contest together. We get a little bit of a mean streak out of the Youngbloods but they handle Los Conquistadors with no problem and a nasty throat chop for the victory. Black Bart w/ Jack Lanza defeated Tony Garea -Black Bart is large and in charge here and he beats the piss out of Tony Garea. Jack Lanza is out there helping him as we see Ron Bass come out and cheer on Bart. Black Bart with a nasty gordbuster for the finish and then he and Bass beat Garea down! Hillbilly Jim defeated The Invader #3 -The Hillbilly is back and man o man does he have some spunk. The crowd is giving him some love and this country boy beats the Invader down before hitting a big sidewalk slam for the 3 count! MAIN EVENT Davey Boy Smith w/ Dynamite Kid vs Chris Adams w/ Gino Hernandez -A really fun main event with these two going about 14-minutes and really working the crowd. Gino continues to try and get involved but Dynamite is able to hold him off. Chaos ensues here for the final couple of moments before Gino tries to get involved. Gino is holding Davey and then Adams comes for a superkick but Davey Boy gets out of the way and Adams destroys Gino with the superkick and he goes flying! Adams turns around and Davey with a boot to the gut before turning him around for a backslide and the 3 count! The crowd goes wild for this one as the Bulldogs get the big victory! One last thing... ala tew, if someone is injured they obviously can't work matches and depending on the injury and how long, you could still use them for angles if needed.
-
Injury seems to be moving forward and is 9f course optional. I like how everyone is putting stiff there for us... part of me really likes watching the process of 36 down to 1. For those who will do the entire roster, let us see how your process is. The big thing is adding managers and jobber packs would go up to around 55 people possibly so if it is just a pick and go let us know. In regards to "when" the injury occurs... you are free to go from whenever. For me this is going to start in april but some of you may pop it right into place, again, your choice there. I know there is ambition to do it right there and now, go for it. I may do it that way once I get to my next injury, but I just have so much written right now. In regards to someone possibly getting injured two times in a row... not out of the realm of possibility... go for it if needed. This is simply an addendum to the game, do it how you want, just have fun.
-
That is up to you with the free reign. Either with the dice/36 or the full roster option... you can pick and choose how you do it. No reason to monitor it any further than doing it for fun based on your selection of injury risk.
-
Grimmas you do whatever you need to do man. I am going to go with the dice/36 option. I think I have proven that I am in this thing for the long haul and have pretty good judgment on policy for the game. If you guys want to go full boar, complete 48 or bigger option with managers and all jobbers, go right ahead. If you want to use the dice/36 option... use https://www.random.org/dice/ like I did and follow along on my injury wire.
-
That's how I prefer it, no saves and no pre warning. If injury happens it's immediate. You can do an angle or something, but companies don't get to plan out there injuries in real life. Posted the injury wire... I understand the logic here... but the only reason I offered up what I did was to even out the 36 for the dice portion of it. You can still lose Martel for 6 months if he gets picked... just one of those chances. I'd like to keep some realm of control on it as some may lose interest if their number one star or favorite person is out for six-months... especially with there being no certified shelf-life of the game in general.
-
Okay, so for those of you interested in "random injuries" go ahead and sign up on here and then post your 36 wrestlers like so Andre The Giant Roddy Piper Gino Hernandez Randy Savage w/ Miss Elizabeth Tony Atlas King Kong Bundy Ivan Koloff Nikita Koloff The Barbarian Brutus Beefcake Jim Brunzell Brian Blair Bret Hart Jim Neidhart Davey Boy Smith Dynamite Kid Super Machine Strong Machine Haku Jake Roberts David Sammartino Tito Santana Ron Bass Mark Youngblood Jay Youngblood Greg Valentine Chris Adams Harley Race Blackjack Lanza Blackjack Mulligan Bobby Fulton Tommy Rogers Scott Casey Big John Studd Hillbilly Jim Black Bart So in this scenario... I was able to protect Hogan and then take out my managers and jobber packs... plus I had to take out my three way trade with AWA and NWA so here are my 36. Now I need to go through this list and put them in groups of six... Group 1 Andre The Giant Hillbilly Jim Harley Race Blackjack Lanza Tommy Rogers Bobby Fulton Group 2 Dynamite Kid Davey Boy Smith Bret Hart Jim Neidhart Jim Brunzell Brian Blair Group 3 Tony Atlas King Kong Bundy Jake Roberts Roddy Piper Tito Santana Big John Studd Group 4 Gino Hernandez Chris Adams Super Machine Strong Machine Ron Bass Blackjack Mulligan Group 5 Nikita Koloff Ivan Koloff The Barbarian Brutus Beefcake Greg Valentine Scott Casey Group 6 Mark Youngblood Jay Youngblood Randy Savage David Sammartino Black Bart Haku So now that I have my 6 groups... I have to roll the dice six times and whichever numbers I get will then go into the main draw... Roll was a 5 - Tommy Rogers Roll was a 1 - Dynamite Kid Roll was a 2 - King Kong Bundy Roll was a 2 - Chris Adams Roll was a 5 - Greg Valentine Roll was a 1 - Mark Youngblood Damn... this is a tough draw... so now I roll the dice to see which of the six will be chosen... Roll was a 6... THANK GOD - Mark Youngblood will be injured... now I roll to see how long... roll is a 1... so Mark will be injured for 1 month... so all in all nothing too terrible. I would then have the month of April to get him injured and keep him out for that time... now say he is injured on April 15th... he is eligible to come back May 15th... The problem with this is that now I jump right back into another draw... this time it would be someone getting injured in May... I want to play with the strategy of how you set up your packs and what that means... do I overload packs or even them out for chance... all in the game. For you to go on... simply do the same thing I did here.... we can always post everything right here in the thread to keep up with all of it.... Then at the bottom of your thread... INJURY REPORT WWF - Mark Youngblood - Fractured Orbital Bone - Out 1 Month...
-
At this point... making the thread now... be on the lookout in the station...
-
I was gonna try and do this over pm so we can keep it clear for everything... yes I am a micromanager...but could be good to keep everyone on the same loop
-
So like I roll a 1 and I get April for an injury The injury happens to savage and I lose him for six months But since I rolled a 1... I now have to roll again and say I roll a 1 again... in may I would have another injury and maybe lose Nokia for 3 months... So I could have back to back injury months and lose a lot or a little depending on luck
-
I want to structure it a little different... like have those involved roll a die tk see which of the next six months the injury will occur and once the injury does occur in that month... they roll again to get their next injury month... lots of luck involved ..
-
Yeah I thought about it and now is a good time to try for those interested
-
Shit and giggles here... Who would be up for a dice game to have someone get "injured" on your roster? We have 48 spots... subtract managers or jobbers and get down to 36. This means you can protect some people. Then we do a dice roll for ever six.. whomever makes it 1-6 goes to the next round. Then the next round you have your six people who are up for injury and we roll once to see which of yhe six gets picked and roll again to see how long they would be out... 1-6 months. Any takers with me??

-The WWF has secured the rights to show WrestleMania in the Toronto and Montreal markets after yesterday's negotiations. Promoter Jack Tunney, nephew of legendary Frank Tunney, has sole partnership over the Toronto market while Montreal seems to be a little bit more tricky. Lutte International's Gino Brito along with silent partner Andre the Giant have not been able to negotiate specific terms with Vince McMahon and the WWF. Andre, one of the main attractions for the WWF, has said to be taking a strictly financial stance on the matter along with possible issues from him accepting bookings through Lutte International after the WWF severed ties months ago. Another part of the problem was the "poaching" as some would say of notable Lutte stars Dino Bravo and Greg Valentine. More on this on-going situation as it arises.

-While Hulk Hogan and Bruno Sammartino are out on the promotional tour... Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, & Gerald Brisco were up in Toronto and Montreal to secure locations for WrestleMania to be shown on closed circuit. Word is that McMahon met with Jack Tunney who is the the promoter for the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto about holding a special show the day of WrestleMania and then showing the show on screens. There have been a lot of negotiations between the WWF and the Canadian promotion to secure talent, television, and exclusive rights in Toronto, Montreal, and even as far as Calgary, but no word on anything final yet. -The "B-Crew" with Randy Savage, Gino Hernandez, Chris Adams, the British Bulldogs, Greg Valentine, & Tito Santana will have a show in New Jersey tomorrow night but during the day they will be in East Rutherford and New York City promoting WrestleMania and the big event the night before. Everyone is said to be on double duty throughout the week to get ready for the big show. -There is going to be a special "contract" signing on Saturday March 30, from Times Square between Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan. Andre, Ali, Bundy, Heenan, Savage, and Harley Race will also be in attendance for the event to kick things off for the big show the next night. -Some unmentionables in New York have opened up a betting line on WrestleMania... -Hulk Hogan made an extensive tour with Bruno Sammartino over the week to make one last push for WrestleMania. Hogan started the tour in Los Angeles and went to the following cities for 1 hour promos at theaters. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas, Denver, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, St. Louis, Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Miami, Boston, and finished up the tour on Friday at Madison Square Garden for a huge blow out. There is talk of Hogan hosting Saturday Night Live the night before WrestleMania... this could be the last huge push for the show which will air this Sunday at 5pm eastern time.
