  1. One last thing... ala tew, if someone is injured they obviously can't work matches and depending on the injury and how long, you could still use them for angles if needed.
  2. Injury seems to be moving forward and is 9f course optional. I like how everyone is putting stiff there for us... part of me really likes watching the process of 36 down to 1. For those who will do the entire roster, let us see how your process is. The big thing is adding managers and jobber packs would go up to around 55 people possibly so if it is just a pick and go let us know. In regards to "when" the injury occurs... you are free to go from whenever. For me this is going to start in april but some of you may pop it right into place, again, your choice there. I know there is ambition to do it right there and now, go for it. I may do it that way once I get to my next injury, but I just have so much written right now. In regards to someone possibly getting injured two times in a row... not out of the realm of possibility... go for it if needed. This is simply an addendum to the game, do it how you want, just have fun.
  3. That is up to you with the free reign. Either with the dice/36 or the full roster option... you can pick and choose how you do it. No reason to monitor it any further than doing it for fun based on your selection of injury risk.
  4. Grimmas you do whatever you need to do man. I am going to go with the dice/36 option. I think I have proven that I am in this thing for the long haul and have pretty good judgment on policy for the game. If you guys want to go full boar, complete 48 or bigger option with managers and all jobbers, go right ahead. If you want to use the dice/36 option... use https://www.random.org/dice/ like I did and follow along on my injury wire.
  5. That's how I prefer it, no saves and no pre warning. If injury happens it's immediate. You can do an angle or something, but companies don't get to plan out there injuries in real life. Posted the injury wire... I understand the logic here... but the only reason I offered up what I did was to even out the 36 for the dice portion of it. You can still lose Martel for 6 months if he gets picked... just one of those chances. I'd like to keep some realm of control on it as some may lose interest if their number one star or favorite person is out for six-months... especially with there being no certified shelf-life of the game in general.
  6. Okay, so for those of you interested in "random injuries" go ahead and sign up on here and then post your 36 wrestlers like so Andre The Giant Roddy Piper Gino Hernandez Randy Savage w/ Miss Elizabeth Tony Atlas King Kong Bundy Ivan Koloff Nikita Koloff The Barbarian Brutus Beefcake Jim Brunzell Brian Blair Bret Hart Jim Neidhart Davey Boy Smith Dynamite Kid Super Machine Strong Machine Haku Jake Roberts David Sammartino Tito Santana Ron Bass Mark Youngblood Jay Youngblood Greg Valentine Chris Adams Harley Race Blackjack Lanza Blackjack Mulligan Bobby Fulton Tommy Rogers Scott Casey Big John Studd Hillbilly Jim Black Bart So in this scenario... I was able to protect Hogan and then take out my managers and jobber packs... plus I had to take out my three way trade with AWA and NWA so here are my 36. Now I need to go through this list and put them in groups of six... Group 1 Andre The Giant Hillbilly Jim Harley Race Blackjack Lanza Tommy Rogers Bobby Fulton Group 2 Dynamite Kid Davey Boy Smith Bret Hart Jim Neidhart Jim Brunzell Brian Blair Group 3 Tony Atlas King Kong Bundy Jake Roberts Roddy Piper Tito Santana Big John Studd Group 4 Gino Hernandez Chris Adams Super Machine Strong Machine Ron Bass Blackjack Mulligan Group 5 Nikita Koloff Ivan Koloff The Barbarian Brutus Beefcake Greg Valentine Scott Casey Group 6 Mark Youngblood Jay Youngblood Randy Savage David Sammartino Black Bart Haku So now that I have my 6 groups... I have to roll the dice six times and whichever numbers I get will then go into the main draw... Roll was a 5 - Tommy Rogers Roll was a 1 - Dynamite Kid Roll was a 2 - King Kong Bundy Roll was a 2 - Chris Adams Roll was a 5 - Greg Valentine Roll was a 1 - Mark Youngblood Damn... this is a tough draw... so now I roll the dice to see which of the six will be chosen... Roll was a 6... THANK GOD - Mark Youngblood will be injured... now I roll to see how long... roll is a 1... so Mark will be injured for 1 month... so all in all nothing too terrible. I would then have the month of April to get him injured and keep him out for that time... now say he is injured on April 15th... he is eligible to come back May 15th... The problem with this is that now I jump right back into another draw... this time it would be someone getting injured in May... I want to play with the strategy of how you set up your packs and what that means... do I overload packs or even them out for chance... all in the game. For you to go on... simply do the same thing I did here.... we can always post everything right here in the thread to keep up with all of it.... Then at the bottom of your thread... INJURY REPORT WWF - Mark Youngblood - Fractured Orbital Bone - Out 1 Month...
  7. At this point... making the thread now... be on the lookout in the station...
  8. I was gonna try and do this over pm so we can keep it clear for everything... yes I am a micromanager...but could be good to keep everyone on the same loop
  9. So like I roll a 1 and I get April for an injury The injury happens to savage and I lose him for six months But since I rolled a 1... I now have to roll again and say I roll a 1 again... in may I would have another injury and maybe lose Nokia for 3 months... So I could have back to back injury months and lose a lot or a little depending on luck
  10. I want to structure it a little different... like have those involved roll a die tk see which of the next six months the injury will occur and once the injury does occur in that month... they roll again to get their next injury month... lots of luck involved ..
  11. Yeah I thought about it and now is a good time to try for those interested
  12. Shit and giggles here... Who would be up for a dice game to have someone get "injured" on your roster? We have 48 spots... subtract managers or jobbers and get down to 36. This means you can protect some people. Then we do a dice roll for ever six.. whomever makes it 1-6 goes to the next round. Then the next round you have your six people who are up for injury and we roll once to see which of yhe six gets picked and roll again to see how long they would be out... 1-6 months. Any takers with me??
  13. -The WWF has secured the rights to show WrestleMania in the Toronto and Montreal markets after yesterday's negotiations. Promoter Jack Tunney, nephew of legendary Frank Tunney, has sole partnership over the Toronto market while Montreal seems to be a little bit more tricky. Lutte International's Gino Brito along with silent partner Andre the Giant have not been able to negotiate specific terms with Vince McMahon and the WWF. Andre, one of the main attractions for the WWF, has said to be taking a strictly financial stance on the matter along with possible issues from him accepting bookings through Lutte International after the WWF severed ties months ago. Another part of the problem was the "poaching" as some would say of notable Lutte stars Dino Bravo and Greg Valentine. More on this on-going situation as it arises.
  14. -While Hulk Hogan and Bruno Sammartino are out on the promotional tour... Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, & Gerald Brisco were up in Toronto and Montreal to secure locations for WrestleMania to be shown on closed circuit. Word is that McMahon met with Jack Tunney who is the the promoter for the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto about holding a special show the day of WrestleMania and then showing the show on screens. There have been a lot of negotiations between the WWF and the Canadian promotion to secure talent, television, and exclusive rights in Toronto, Montreal, and even as far as Calgary, but no word on anything final yet. -The "B-Crew" with Randy Savage, Gino Hernandez, Chris Adams, the British Bulldogs, Greg Valentine, & Tito Santana will have a show in New Jersey tomorrow night but during the day they will be in East Rutherford and New York City promoting WrestleMania and the big event the night before. Everyone is said to be on double duty throughout the week to get ready for the big show. -There is going to be a special "contract" signing on Saturday March 30, from Times Square between Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan. Andre, Ali, Bundy, Heenan, Savage, and Harley Race will also be in attendance for the event to kick things off for the big show the next night. -Some unmentionables in New York have opened up a betting line on WrestleMania... 15. Yep screwed that up... supposed to be Saturday Night Live... I suck... SNME is coming though...
  16. -Hulk Hogan made an extensive tour with Bruno Sammartino over the week to make one last push for WrestleMania. Hogan started the tour in Los Angeles and went to the following cities for 1 hour promos at theaters. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas, Denver, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, St. Louis, Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Miami, Boston, and finished up the tour on Friday at Madison Square Garden for a huge blow out. There is talk of Hogan hosting Saturday Night Live the night before WrestleMania... this could be the last huge push for the show which will air this Sunday at 5pm eastern time.

  18. I saw that there was some talk of realism in the promotions board. I wanted to say that I am on board with some of the "unrealistic" realism that we are doing. I know we have toyed with some three way and four way matches and some fun gimmicks which I think are good. I guess I would just encourage everyone to "use their best judgment" when it comes to realism. Now let me also say no one in any way is stretching the realism here... it is a game and we are having a lot of fun. I wanted to propose this thread as some ideas in relation to realism and see what others thought... For instance... I am REALLY wanting to hold a survivor series and royal rumble. Now I don't know the shelf life of this game if we will make it to 1987 in 2 years and then add on another 8 months to survivor series and then add in 2 more months for a rumble, but would it be too bold to hold one for a special house show? I have recently retired Pat Patterson and Vince in my "creative." Would it be too bold to hold a 20-30 man timed battle royal during this time on a house show? Just wanted to throw it out there and see what people thought... I obviously wouldn't do it on a ppv yet... but rather as a special attraction to see if it would be a "draw" to then make it bigger down the line...

In the end, we see Gino attempting to cheat before Davey Boy gets involved leading to Chris Adams nailing a NASTY superkick that knocks Dynamite right out before Gino covers him for the 3 count. 21. Considering how hugely over Dino Bravo & Andre were in Montreal, it's anything but "blah-ish". Crowd must've gone nuts for this. In an odd way, Hogan probably was the lesser attraction in this main event...unless you were talking about Wrestling Challenge? Yeah I think he's talking about the tv show. the House show would have been HOTTT!
  22. Well Scott Casey hasn't really popped on the scene yet so it isn't much but a place holder in a feud that could be going nowhere fast. but I also agree... sometimes these things were snoozers... especially in 1985!
  23. -There is a lot of hype right now with the WrestleMania card being fully announced and just how it will all go down in Madison Square Garden. There are many who feel that a 3-hour live show will be fun for the crowd but those in closed circuit may complain. The WWF is hoping to have special "rewards" and "gifts" for those who do attend closed circuit including WrestleMania T-Shirt give aways, commemorative mugs, and even signed photos. The reward system is set for those who send their close circuit ticket will be a signed WrestleMania Program by Hulk Hogan. This is said to be a major ploy incentive to get people to the theaters to check out the show. -There are some who have said that there is no way Roddy Piper will do the job for Hogan on such a big stage. Some rumors floating around are of New Japan regulars like Fujinami or Inoki getting involved to set up a big WWF vs Japan feud or even reviving the WWF and All Japan partnership with Tenryu or Jumbo getting involved to halt the main event. -There is talk of unmasking the Machines but many feel as though their mystery has a lot of appeal and could lead to big money down the line. -Gino Hernandez and Chris Adams are already talking about taking the WWF titles to Japan and winning titles there even though they haven't beaten the Bulldogs. With the Mexican titles... this could be huge for a team that many feel has the making to be the best in the business in 1985.
  24. Montreal, Quebec, Canada – Montreal Forum MAIN EVENT Hulk Hogan, Dino Bravo, & Andre the Giant defeated John Studd, King Kong Bundy, & Kamala w/ Bobby Heenan & Roddy Piper HAIR VS HAIR MATCH Tito Santana vs Brutus Beefcake -Greg Valentine got involved to cost Tito the match and then they began to cut his hair until Tony Atlas came out for the save! 25. WWF Wrestling Challenge Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby The Brain Heenan in studio Matches from Brantford, Ontario, Canada – The Civic Centre Harley Race w/ Bobby Heenan defeated Johnny Rivera Andre the Giant: How can you call yourself a King when you haven’t beaten the Giant? Harley Race… I will take that crown from you and put it on my head where it belongs! David Sammartino defeated James Wright Larry Z: In all my years of wrestling, never before has a man with so little had such significance and that is saying a lot because I think very low of you David and I think even less of your father. At WrestleMania, the world is going to see me wipe the mat with you and if Bruno wants… I may just show him a thing or two as well! The Killer Bees defeated Pat & Mike Kelly -Good showcase for the Bees who might not make it on the WrestleMania card but it doesn’t mean they don’t have the goods. We see a slick double dropkick to finish off the Kelly boys for the 3 count. Brutus Beefcake defeated Steve Simpson – he then cut his hair! Tito Santana: I guess tonight is the night Brutus and just to let you know that I could care less about my hair and more about getting my hands on you! Tonight I am going to do just that and when I do… it is going to be lights out for you! ARIBA! Scott Casey vs Ron Bass w/ Jack Lanza -A blahish main event with Bass beating up Casey something good and even Black Bart comes down to help matters out… but then we see Blackjack Mulligan come down to even up the odds and we get a nice little back and forth before they chase off the heels.
