Definitely enjoyed this show. Interesting spot for the NWA right now and how they will move forward with the Lutte partnership, new freelancers, and then the Great American Bash coming up along with the build to Starrcade. Lots of fun things on the horizon!

March 20th, 1985 -The WWF has just signed over 40 cities nationwide to show WrestleMania on closed circuit. This means that you an head down to your local theater (if they are hosting) and watch the event as it unfolds in Madison Square Garden. Some cities that have multiple locations include Chicago, Los Angeles, Oakland, Miami, Houston, St. Louis, and New York. Other key markets have begun to follow suite and it is said that over 100 cities may be broadcasting the show when it airs in just 11 days. -On markets throughout the country, special promos have been sent to highlight some of the top matches... here is a preview of some of those promos. WWF CHAMPIONSHIP Roddy Piper: WrestleMania… biggest event in the history of this here sport and who is right at the top… Roddy Piper… Main Event Material. You know a lot of people don’t understand what this feud with Hulk Hogan is really all about. They talk about the WWF Championship… man I wouldn’t mind having that extra little gold and money… but it isn’t about the title… Hogan it is about RESPECT! For far too long have the men like you not given the men like me the respect I deserve and boy I am going to beat it out of you in front of millions of people and there just isn’t anything you can do about it! Hulk Hogan: Well I guess the time for talking is almost to an end but just enough time for me to tell the world exactly what I am going to do to you Roddy Piper. You see for months now you have tried to get the better of me but to no avail dude. You are looking at the biggest arms in the world and brother after all the low down and dirty things you have tried to do to me it is time for payback… and brother I am coming with a crate full of it. For unleashing the mighty Kamala… all the interference… you Roddy Piper are going to get exactly what is coming to you and all my Hulkamaniacs out there get to see it live and in living color! WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Jake Roberts: I guess it is just a matter of time before we step into that ring Randy Savage and see exactly who has what it takes. Who has what it takes to be the best when you are in front of 20,000 fans in Madison Square Garden and millions of people watching around the world… well brother… this snake don’t hiss before I get my fangs in you and come too long you are going to be right where I want you… locked up and full of DDT! Randy Savage: Freak out… FREAK OUT…. OHHHH YEAAAAH!!! Jake Roberts wants to talk about filling me with DDT brother I am filled with the MADNESS ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP! Now at WrestleMania… I am going to have ice water running through my veins and brother I am going to EXPLODE everywhere… and in doing soo…. I am going to redeem the honor of Ms. Elizabeth and I am going to keep this Intercontinental Championship and I am going to sever the head from the SNAKE! DIG IT!

Sonny King and Tony Falk gone from the WWF No clue on Wright and Batten... that's the kind of stuff we want to avoid is those falling through the cracks... if they aren't found... you should be fine to pick em up.

At this point Lawler and the Rock n Roll are freelancers so still available to you to use... but as an outlaw Memphis builder that could work... don't know how you could write up Lawler and company coming in as freelancers but worth the try.

It is obviously an open group but what happened when you vanished last time with no communication? I don't want to be negative as I have said I enjoy your work and your effort in the past. Right now we are all doing a pretty good job and I want to keep that going and I think that you could definitely help that, I am just fearful of people giving up talent and then us having the same situation we were in a couple of months ago when you were gone without communication and we had to sit on the rosters for a while. If we can get it worked out to try and be as risk free as possible, I definitely think we can get you going, I just want to do what is best for every person involved as we are all working really hard right now and going in the right direction. Fair point, unfortunately real life got in the way. Can't guarantee it wouldn't happen again, hopefully not. Only after my usual smaller roster if you can accommodate, don't want to upset the apple cart... That's exactly what I was hoping for. Obviously real life messes with us all... only thing I ever ask is communication so we can keep the group as a whole moving forward. Take a look through free agents... work with some of the promotions and see what you come up with. I know you suggested southern wrestling... but there is probably a fun group of guys from England around this time with Big Daddy and others if you'd ever want to take a stab at that. Then we would have Mexico, Japan, and Europe to work with... just a thought.

Maybe it is just a coincidence... but is 1993 your most covered year? -

WWF Superstars Vince McMahon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from Hamburg, PA – The Fieldhouse Kamala w/ Roddy Piper defeated Brady Boone -Kamala is out here again and he destroys Brady Boone. Roddy Piper joins commentary and he is running Hogan down. He talks about how Muhammad Ali isn’t going to be a part of this and he will knock him out if he gets in his way. We see the big splash and Kamala has won it! The Killer Bees defeated Tony Flak & Tony Zane -A nice showcase for the Bees who are a fun team right now to watch. They have got a lot of speed and charisma but how do they match up against some of the others? Greg Valentine & The Hart Foundation w/ Jimmy Hart defeated Bob Scott, Rick McGraw, & Ken Raper -The Hart Foundation is out in force tonight. Vince and Jesse put over the hair cutting that Brutus Beefcake has been doing and Jesse calls him the BARBER! Could be on to something. The Machines defeated Omar Atlas & Bob Bradley -A good contest with the Machines as Super and Strong look great here. Heenan is shown here with the Faces of Fear and Bundy. We see the Machines finish off Bradley and prep for the battle but then out of the crowd comes the THIRD MACHINE! OH MY! We have got some six-man action ready to unfold here but Heenan and his boys retreat. Tony Atlas vs Nikita Koloff w/ Ivan Koloff -A really fun main event and we get to see Nikita outside of his element a little bit but he has got things going in the right direction and Atlas is able to keep things manageable. Nikita is no selling everything though and when he hits the Russian Sickle, Atlas goes flying outside the ring and here comes Ivan to hammer down on him. This pulls Dino Bravo out of the back and we get a double count out with a 4-man brawl outside the ring! Jesse and Vince put this over in a big way as Nikita is on the rise and there is a tag team in the making here! EVENT CENTER WrestleMania MAIN EVENT WWF CHAMPIONSHIP SPECIAL ENFORCER: Muhammad Ali Hulk Hogan © vs Roddy Piper INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Randy Savage © w/ Elizabeth vs Jake Roberts TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The British Bulldogs © vs Gino Hernandez & Chris Adams Andre the Giant vs “King” Harley Race w/ Bobby Heenan Tito Santana vs Greg Valentine w/ Jimmy Hart Just signed for WrestleMania The Fantastics vs The Hart Foundation w/ Jimmy Hart David Sammartino w/ Bruno vs Larry Z The Machines vs Haku & The Barbarian And a special INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE New Japan Wrestling’s Antonio Inoki vs King Kong Bundy w/ Bobby Heenan

WWF Wrestling Challenge Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby The Brain Heenan in studio Matches from Hamburg, PA – The Fieldhouse Gino Hernandez & Chris Adams defeated SD Jones & Pez Whatley -Lots of heat for Gino and Adams who put it all together in the ring. They finish off Pistol Pez with the suplex/cross body combo. They are calling out the Bulldogs and what a match it will be at WrestleMania! Ron Bass w/ Jack Lanza defeated Terry Daniels -An interesting little contest here with Bass beating up Daniels with no problem. The match turns interesting when Black Bart comes down to join Bass and they lay into Daniels something awful. Bass is calling out Mulligan. The Fantastics defeated Los Conquistadors -A nice effort here for the Fantastic who beat up the Conquistadors here tonight. The finish sees a nice double dropkick and it is all over but the crying as Tommy and Bobby are gaining some big time speed and momentum going into WrestleMania! Brutus Beefcake w/ Jimmy Hart defeated Pat Kelly -Brutus Beefcake is at it once again as Bobby and Gorilla put over how he will be taking on Tito Santana next week in a hair vs hair match. He puts Pat Kelly to sleep here tonight and finishes him off with a nice little trim as Jimmy Hart just gloats and gloats. Andre the Giant vs Haku w/ Bobby Heenan -On rare occasion do we get to see Andre on television but here he is tonight with Haku in a fun contest. Haku is throwing some big time strikes at Andre but nothing doing. Harley Race comes out as a distraction and then here comes Bundy and the Barbarian, as the Heenan Family is ready to pounce on Andre. Andre nails the big suplex and elbow to finish off Haku but here comes the Family to attack the big man but before long, not one or two, but THREE MACHINES COME OUT! The chase off the Heenan Family and now Heenan has got 3 of them to deal with!!! Young Lion cup isn't my biggest cup of tea but I like the movement and how New Japan is changing. If the rumors are true and change is on the horizon in the Orient... the wrestling world is going to be shaken to its very core. On a side note, I am playing a 1988 mod of TEW 2016... In early 1989, Antonio Inoki dies... I had Misawa take over New Japan and they are still in the lead over All Japan...

Big changes here with the UWF. I know you've even wanting to do it for a while so kudos there. Hopefully it works out in the long run and we see some good feuding between the "two" promotions.

Love seeing you back here and you've jumped right in. I personally don't find relevance in the Fuller/Armstrongs but there has always been a niche for them and I am glad you are opening my eyes to it. I also really like Hercules Hernandez down here... a solid heel with a lot of potential. -
Nice to see Funk really starting to take the reigns here. I think he is the most controversial and enigmatic character in the game when it comes to how he can be used in so many ways. Glad to see he's on top here.

-There is a lot of discussion right now regarding the King Harley Race vs Andre the Giant match. The two men have known one another for quite some time and it should be a fun match... however will the crown be on the line? If so... who is going down? Good luck figuring that one out. - Tito vs Valentine is set to either be the end of this big feud that has been going on since December or just another page to keep the house show matches hot. They are set to be involved in the IC title hunt over the summer. - There are expected to be three more matches announced... the heavily rumored match is that of the Fantastics v the Hart Foundation... some expect that one to open the show. -Another big feud that has all but blown off... but there are many within the WWF who think that Bruno is going to use his pull to get a match for David on the card.

I like Tommy Young from the Falir vs Funk GAB 1989... I thought he did a great job there... especially yelling at the camera guys outside the ring lol.
