  1. Hulk Hogan #1! New Japan #1! Axe Bomma #1!
  2. Yes you could... sorry for the observation.
  3. Why wouldn't you? Hogan is the only other logical choice if you didn't want Bret. You could alays go for Nash but why wouldnt you have saved him over Sid? Austin is the most logical choice and fast tracking him to his most popular iteration seems like the thing to do.
  4. He will go to wwf...prolly become stone cold too early... he's hard to pass on.
  5. He is such a dynamic character at this point that could of literally went anywhere and been big time and changes the scope of a promotion. Part of me wishes he could drop to tier 2 and see him be the catalyst for someone to just go crazy with Hulk Hogan
  6. I figured would could go here for any talk on the draft. Love the tiered system and love the tiered draft availability. New Japan has some serious options there at number one... Could Hogan return to New Japan? Could they steal Hansen from All Japan? Could he go after some highly sought after Japanese talent? How about WWF? Who will they look to pick up from the scraps from WCW? Will Savage return to the WWF like he was always rumored to do? Could Steve Austin make that immediate jump before the time is right? How about All Japan? With its rich history of Gaijin workers, how will the cap let them fare? Do they go straight for the Americans or do they try to keep their own? Will Hansen or Williams return? Could they do the unthinkable and bring in Fujinami? Then there is WCW... they let the golden goose go with Hogan but it appears as though they have a different path to greatness. Could it include the Excellence of Execution? If the smart money is right... he will be there for the taking. How about someone like Kevin Nash? Could he jump over at the height of his popularity and even bring the title with him? Could Steve Austin fall to WCW as a chance for them to rebuild what could have been? Boys this is going to be an exciting couple of rounds of action... how will the chips begin to fall? New Japan is on the clock!
  7. Sounds like MACW is ruling the NWA roost itself.
  8. Yeah, but we could look at some of the Japanese and Mexican guys who came to the US and use them...
  9. Which is why they could remain as "freelancers" We could maybe add others to the freelance list but just unsure of who they would be unless we opened up some japanese or mexican guys for the list.
  10. I am sure he could finish his career with AJPW especially with the Tag Team League in November.
  11. And that is fine. Just need your input on the future of this facet of the game. If the amendment with Andre and the Women works, let us know. If you think it should stay the same way it is now we can go that route.
  12. As is Jumbo Tsuruta
  13. Dr. Death is missing from the others list
  14. Okay, so unofficially Change to eliminate freelancers and put then into the draft 3 - Kevin, Fenton, & Edgar Keep things the way they ar 3 - Bruno, Rain, & Boon What if we just added Andre and the Women to the free agent list... Then kept Abdullah, Hansen, Brody, and Mil Mascaras on the list? Would there be anyone to add to that list in 85 who would have been used the same that we could add on?
  15. It is a small thing that may not make much sense... but Brutus Beefcake should be in the other category... if Hogan went to Japan, who would carry his luggage? Plus Ed Leslie did do tours but its something to be discussed.
  16. Available for either Japan or America for Tier A/B promotions. But is he active or do we have to wait to use him? He didn't technically wrestle from August till the end of the year...
  17. He may be in flux, but what is the ruling on Vader for the draft?
  18. Let's see how the draft goes and see if it needs to be popped up. 5 should be a good star depending on who's available and such.
  19. That will make it interesting to try and get talent... looking forward to the lists so we can start some planning.
  20. Is this realistic? It would prohibit AJPW from trying to recreate their real-life roster. Yeah, I may have some issue with looking at what their roster was... Abdullah Johnny Ace Dr. Death Hansen Giant Kimala II Patriot Furnas Bobby Duncum Jr The Fantastics... I think 5 may be too small... I plan on moving the guys around outside of tours but there were a lot of foreigners here.
  21. Mascaras has a few shots here and there in 85 but could still be a freelancer Abdullah, Hansen, and Brody still fit the freelance mold Andre is really the only one who had a steady job with the WWF but still did some shots (like we discussed this could be up to his owner) The minis are basically not being used so someone could corner that market The women are interesting as I know that Lutte and I personally wouldn't mind beginning a women's division.
  22. Sorry Boon, you seemed undecided... do you have a specific way you'd go on the matter?
  23. (3) Lutte, MACW, & USWA - Yes (1) Portland - No Let's see what AWA and Memphis has to say about things
  24. I think you could handle those guys kind of like Freelancers in the 83 project maybe depending on their availability. It would kind of be messy but something to work with at least.
  25. WWF NEWS -There was a lot of excitement and worried feelings coming out of the MSG Network special this past weekend. Word has it that Vince McMahon and his television production people had to meet with the MSG Network representatives and discuss the graphic nature of this past week's show. McMahon talked about the attitude of the WWF changing but the representatives were not too please. This on top of the fact that the WWF is trying to get a deal with the Prism network to air Philadelphia Spectrum Shows and possibly expand with the MSG Network to show Meadowlands shows, the WWF could be in serious issue with these companies. -Speaking of Philadelphia, there are some who feel that two events in a row with cage matches may end up killing the town as the WWF won't be able to draw without the gimmick while others know Philadelphia is more of a "rough and tough" wrestling town and they like the action. We will see how it shakes out after next week's show in Philadelphia, will the WWF be able to secure a deal with Prism or will they need to tone things down? - The biggest news coming out of the shows was the World Title win of Hulk Hogan. While most saw this coming a mile away, some were still concerned about the Hulkster's schedule as he has plans to go to Japan in November, December, and January. How will the WWF fair with its number one draw out of the country? -There is call for a big blow off match between Roddy Piper and Randy Savage to take place. No talk on the specific gimmick, but some are looking for it to be the monster launching point for both men to different heights of their respective careers. - Roddy Piper was said to be possibly going up to Portland to do shots but Don Owen turned down the deal at the final hour. Word is that Piper and the WWF wanted to make sure Owen's business was legit before giving up dates for a star like Piper. Piper is said to be open to going, but we will see how it works out in the long run. The same goes for Randy Savage who has spent time in Memphis. Both of these men have made huge names for themselves outside of the WWF and that potential "blow off" match could be the stepping stone for both of their superstardoms in the WWF. - Steve Williams is said to be shopping around for his services... he like Sgt. Slaughter aren't happy with their current positions and would like them to improve of for their contracts to be void. -The WWF will be bringing in Andre the Giant next week on the road to team with Hulk Hogan against John Studd and King Kong Bundy. These are expected to be monster shows. -Gino Hernandez has quietly been the workhorse of the "B" shows as of late. He has been a successful WWF Intercontinental Champion and some are wondering if and when we will see the big championship match with him and Hogan. -There are preliminary talks of the WWF and Lutte International coming together for a special joint show around Thanksgiving. Word from the officials is that they are going to book all the matches as six-man tags as they have been popular gimmicks in the joint shows as of late.
