That's what it is all about right?

I think there was some confusion on the trade that was made, I didn't think we were going through with this part until December 1st. The trade involved JYD and Youngblood for Rick Rood. I can take Youngblood off the books though for this purpose if it goes through. Ok, I know I am not in this game anymore but you can not trade JYD in 1983 for Rick Rude. That is complete insanity. No, JYD was dates... not straight up.
-
I don't have a problem with the date or anything and I don't mind the trade overall. If it goes through, I will throw in Youngblood early and we can ship him off with no concerns on my part. If it doesn't we will just keep as is.

I completely agree, Bret and Steamboat are worth the price of admission in addition to the Bulldogs. -
Possible Southeastern/Stampede (Inactive)Trade

I am good with the deal, the only issue I see out of all of it is that Steamboat may be sitting for a while in Stampede, unless someone comes up with a better deal. -
If we are good with that, I am on my way home from work and I will write up a trade proposal and have it go to vote. I want these to be based off of evidence as to why the trade is fair on both ends to hopefully sway some people who already have negative feelings about the way that I run my promotion... which really stinks because I only have the best intentions and I'm trying to create a fun product for people to follow.
-
I know I have something going on right now with Stampede, so I'm hoping that that deal will go through the end of the month as it was only for a month. I have a terrible feeling that trade votes are only going to cause more animosity although I'm hopeful we can get something figured out and people can see value in different ways.

I'd be interested in the same type deal with one member of the iwf.

I am still unsure why you are on the block to be taken out. You have proven to be an vital part of the system. You continue to post, so in my opinion you aren't on the block. If anything, PR could be ran almost like Japan with touring which could work well for you, but that's your call in order for you to get caught up or keeping your promotion alive, whichever is your purgative. In my opinion, inactivity is like Goc said, Brian hadn't logged on in a month. This whole pm thing is confusing, because that means the person is still working but Wahoo hasn't been overly big in the discussions, nor posting shows in quite some time, although he has stated he's a busy guy. The roster size thing is what it is. I have got a great group right now that I have built but am always looking for a way to upgrade. It is like having that staple of 10-15 guys with other interchanging pieces that compliment the roster to go with the 10 or so regular job guys.

I guess the easiest way I can explain what "expansion" means is looking at the tiered system of the Territories. You had the big ones with JCP, WWF, and AWA. They were just a level up from some of the smaller territories that ran. Look at something like a Memphis, ICW, WWA, All Star, Portland, and Central States. These promotions, while they had their finer points were smaller territories that ran in their areas and did it well. I do like the idea of keeping everything under a umbrella, but to keep everyone at the same level doesn't seem right. I am not proposing a WWF take over and death of territories, but like the system worked out in real life, there were some territories bigger than others. Some territories had bigger stars than others. Some territories ran more shows that others. Some territories were just bigger than others. That is just my push is to allow that to happen organically, rather than putting barriers on that. No need for a national or global style promotion in this world we've created, simply some promotions being bigger than others. I know there is resistance to this, it is simply an opinion. The biggest point to be made out of all this is that some opinions aren't welcomed, which kind of stinks. So it is what it is.
-
I just stated that I am fine with the rules. Expansion will happen naturally. It already has. If we just have to focus on trades and such, then so be it. I will find other ways to move my product up the ladder.
-
Votes cast. Back to writing now. Hopefully something can be enacted for the overall productivity of the group. And Goc, I know that statement was pointed at me and others who are interested in expansion. I am not going to apologize for wanting to evolve this project and do a little bit more than run a small territory. Mid South has grown since I got it and I just want to keep it moving forward. I don't have any interest in becoming National or Global, just want to do a little more that others. You have some good points which I have agreed with, but your overall argumentative attitude towards someone's opinion that is opposite of yours is pretty frustrating.
-
To just put it out there, the biggest issue I have with the "dummy promotions" is the idea that Magnum TA (who has limited time in his career) and Barry Windham type guys not being used at all during this "down time." I may be the in the minority on that, but these guys are true stars and it kind of stinks we don't get to see them work anywhere.
-
Exactly, that's why I asked it in the show thread. Just seeing what the deal was if he was shared due to all the circumstances that unfolded.
-
I wasn't trying to insinuate that there was an issue, it just seemed odd with all the events that went down that an individual of Solie's stature would be on both shows. Simply a question.
-
I second this.
-
I agree especially if I have to give up Vince McMahon Jr now that we are re-incarnating the WWF. If that were the case I would drop Watts and open up the WWF with Vince and my roster and then we wouldn't have the North East problem.
-
A just as a frame of reference, I currently have 34 active wrestlers, 3 managers (Soon to be 2) and then 1 announcer from the draft, not counting my home grown ones. So if it were to be voted on to have one of the lower caps, I would already be having to cut people right?
-
I will state it again, I don't want a massive roster, but even the other day I was looking at doing a double booking with the current crop and I had to jump out for Freelance work. This is my concern to work around, not the groups. I have no problem sitting into the mindset that we all have to be the same size, it is not overly kosher with me, but writing and story line will out due any of those concerns. Whatever the max cap that one person sees fit to put in a poll is, it has my vote for all intensive purposes.
-
I am not overly big on the cap... I have stated from the beginning that vertical expansion is one thing I'd like to accomplish but having more limitations on my product being able to grow would be difficult. Perhaps if the cap was bigger, then I'd be fine, more as a place holder, but not something that is going to limit me from being able to build my product. And yes, I know I cans till have trades and such, but home grown guys are always important. If the cap were more like 40-45, I feel that those are barriers I could work around. Just an opinion.
-
So Solie is half and half with Florida and Georgia?? No quarrel on my behalf just wondering how that worked.
-
I don't really want to stir the pot with this question but I think it's something that should be answered... But who does Gordon Solie work for? For all intensive purposes Florida is in NWA territory however he is also over on southeastern which is AWA territory. Anyone else see this is a conflict? If you guys have an agreement that's awesome I just thought it was interesting how that dynamic was working out.

The question is not if someone wants him but what it takes to get him. I'd reopen talks if there was a chance.
