Liger has been doing that pose for decades. Was it originally not a Hogan reference? I remember seeing one match where he did it with the obvious Hogan parodies like the ear cupping and just assumed that was the point.

And they're about to put Balor over Owens again in a month at Takeover, unless they do some sort of screwy finish in the main event. All of Owens' Takeover main events have had screwy finishes, so I guess it would continue the trend.

I loved how Kofi started out by running away after his confident promos. He took a logical approach to taking Brock down once he got back in the ring; it just didn't work. The build to the first German suplex was nice, especially given how disgusting those bumps looked.

Maybe but she was pretty good here. Nice lariats early on, stiff headbutts, big splash, superkick, no blown spots.... all good. Yeah, to be fair that reaction is based more off of past experience than this match. Her headbutts even looked better than Paige's. If she performs well in the "female Kevin Nash who works stiff and can do a splash" role then it could erase my bad memories.

That was a pretty nothing match. Some of the portions between Nikki and Paige were okay, but Tamina should just stop wrestling.

Every time the women do a turnbuckle suplex spot you can hear them call it on camera. They should come up with signals or something instead.

I really digged that match. There was a bit of awkwardness between them at first, but Jericho played it off well. The counters and reversals made them seem somewhat familiar with each other despite never having wrestled. There was a weird spot where it looked like Neville completely no-sold a forearm from Jericho in the corner. The finishing run had some drama. When Neville climbed up to the top at the end I thought that he might get the win, but his delay before attempting the Red Arrow gave time for doubt to set in before the counter from Jericho. Michael Cole's commentary seems a lot more tolerable than usual tonight. Vince must not be in the back producing him.

The pedigree that Brock took from Rollins looked pretty bad. Hopefully they find a way to make it look better than that for the eventual 3 pedigrees in the actual match.

I get a bad feeling about Tyler Breeze's gimmick on the main roster. It will probably get an Adam Rose reception. Miz is doing something similar anyways, and while Tyler Breeze is a better worker, Miz does the character better.

Where do they go from here with the booking? At this point, it would seem underwhelming if they blow off the Joe / Owens feud before the next Takeover show. They're also putting Balor over so heavily before the show in Japan that many are speculating he will win the title. If he does that and Owens is tied up with Joe, who does he feud with? Baron Corbin? Tyler Breeze? On the women's side, if they want to stick with a babyface to go against Sasha then it's either Charlotte or Bayley, and the Bayley matchup would be fresher.

Owens and Joe have some really weak looking punches. They left enough on the table to build up interest in the match at a Takeover event that is presumedly coming in a few months.
