The appeal of this really comes from Yearsley's cheating and making us want to see him get comeuppance. Once Veidor decides to get aggressive we the audience get that satisfaction. I like Yearsly flexing to show off his muscles between every round & I think he does a good job seeming vicious. But these did lack some dynamism and excitement ***

This was really good until the anti-climactic finish. Boscik gives us fancy holds and counters akin to early Zack Sabre Jr, Alan Sarjeant upstages him with very flashy stuff that comes off a humorous while simultaneously all seeming logical and like he was really trying to win. Tiny guys, fast holds, action packed. ***3/4

This didn't do anything to shift my preconceived notion that the tag matches on World of Sport weren't any good. Not much of a structure to this, outside of who won the falls. Bobby Barnes & Magnificent Maurice are heels trying to bait homophobic fans with the feminine presentation and mannerisms. Adrian Street type stuff. Maurice comes across as a walking contradiction to me. Despite being so tall that he looks like a monster beside everyone else in this match, he comes across as less of a threat than his partner, his offense is all just cheating, he lets out high pitched squeals when he's hurt. He has chest hair, forearm tattoos, a full face of makeup and from the thighs down is dressed like Ronald McDonald. Barnes brings the team's actual wrestling to this match, but there's not really that much of that. He does the tumble and pose off of hiptosses lifted directly from Adrian Street. I think I prefer Maurice's performance. There's a lot less to say about the other team, bland babyfaces. The older and bigger Peter works 80% of the match, and honestly Johnny's selling of a 'posting' (whip into the turnbuckle) when he's in at the finish is awful. Some of the execution is good, some of the heels antics are entertaining. But overall not very exciting or interesting. **1/4

Fake Russians in the US are all bald, that's apparently not the rule in the UK, but Penzecoff could do with something to improve his look if he's gonna have such skinny arms. Perfectly cromulent wrestling for the most part. I like how tight the holds look, I don't like how slow some stuff feels & how anti-climatic the finish felt. Round 4 is just Ivan just hitting a bunch of uppercuts until he gets caught in an arm wrench takedown thing and gets pinned. ** I'm using the airdate here, but someone tell me if I should be using the date it was taped, instead.

I don't think Mick Foley is a top 20 wrestler all time, but it feels kind of unfair to try to hold it against him that all of his best matches have a bunch of plunder. He's the best ever at plunder heavy matches, that's worth something.

I wouldn't read anything into Kikuchi or Fuchi or any other lesser All Japan guys dropping when 00s NOAH guys saw an increase in support: Takayama, KENTA, Marufuji.

My Prediction for the top 5 is it'll be Danielson, Flair, Kobashi, Misawa, Tenryu in some order

I definitely think Kobashi is beating Terry Funk & that Danielson is #1. And I think Mick Foley has to be #17, surely
