  1. White Trash's camo shorts just falling down as he was taking a move was hilarious. The match itself was a mess and felt way longer than 11 minutes.
  2. Carly had so much potential here. I agree that this was a classic established guy vs young guy match. There was a lull in the middle but the finishing stretch was good. Fun tv match.
  3. This was just a collection of moves. Kuroda was the main drag on this match with his selling. The second rope spinning ddt Tanaka hit did look insane though.
  4. It had been a while since I had seen this and I was so impressed. Murakami especially has such great heel charisma. This hits that sweet spot of cooperation and the aura of non-cooperation that is necessary for it to work. Loved the finish too.
  5. Breezy watch. Everything flowed pretty well and I especially enjoyed Otani's offense controlling the body of the match. Finishing sequence was disappointing.
  6. I thought Toyota was fantastic in this match until they gave up and just hit the last maybe minute or two. The way that Toyota controlled the pace and brought so much offense to the table was exciting to watch. You tack on a different back end to this match and it could have been outstanding. Really fun to watch Toyota here.
  7. I appreciated the attempt for structure early but the lack of coherent selling throughout by Maekawa hurt. All the leg work just felt like time killing to get to the stretch run. Two young wrestlers overdoing it.
  8. Tons of nearfalls done at a fast pace. There was a few good sequences but this could have been much better if it was only the first fall. The sloppiness didn't bother me as much as the excess.
  9. I'm in the same category not having seen LCO do this match enough for it to be played out. They were great on offense and fed enough hope spots to make it feel competitive. Really liked the finish too. I've seen very little 2000s Joshi and I'm looking forward to seeing more now.
  10. I definitely enjoyed some of the spots. The tope Honma hit over the bed of nails was great. The walking through the crowd hurt the momentum. Shaving that section off could have upped the intensity.
  11. I have to agree with the idea that these two had a ambitious vision of what they wanted their matches to be. Considering how inexperienced they both were I was impressed. There was the tentative moments as they transitioned between spots but they built a few good sequences. Spanky's off the ropes headscissors and the tope looked great. Interesting tv match.
  12. The tease of the cavernaria submission in the third fall was fantastic. Double juice is such a shock to the system in the modern wrestling context. Rey Bucanero did a great job of staying on top of Tarzan Boy and feeding his comeback. I forgot how great Bucanero was on offense. Such an easy match to watch.
  13. This was around the time I was first exposed to lucha so I was excited to see this. Zumbido stood out with his smooth bumping. The Mr. Mexico flip to the floor/botched dive in the third was the highlight of the match. Fun stuff. Getting back into this era of lucha is going to be great.
