  1. Southwest wasn't on USA network for nothing. Even though you didn't keep the spot, you're still making great shows. Looking forward to El Gran getting a title shot.
  2. I bet that Steamboat and Arn Anderson match was great.
  3. I know what you mean. I've been looking for real world examples of matches too to base stuff on, but some are hard or impossible to find. You're writeups are great though.
  4. That was awesome tv. Great stuff.
  5. Yeah, I won't ever be posting more than tv and 1-2 big shows a week, maybe 3 if something cool comes along like the joint show with Southwest. I admire all the people that are writing daily show results, that's awesome, but mine would be awful.
  6. Didn't have room on the show, but we did film it, so we'll air it on next week's show by popular demand!
  7. ICW ALL STAR WRESTLING - JULY 16TH (TAPED JULY 14TH IN LEXINGTON, KY) Preshow match: Midget battle royal for the #1 contender to the Midget World Championship -- Cowboy Lang wins last eliminating Lone Eagle Liz Hulette: Hello wrestling fans, and welcome to another episode of ICW All Star Wrestling, live from the Channel 27 studios in Lexington, KY. We have a great show for you here today. We'll recap the past week's action, and hear from several ICW Superstars. Plus we have the finals of the ICW Tag Team Tournament tonight. Let's go down to the ring to Tim Tyler and Jim Cornette. Tim Tyler: Thank you, Liz. Indeed, the finals of the tournament are tonight! Jim Cornette: It's not much of a tournament, my Samoans weren't even in it! Tim Tyler: In addition, we'll have an update on the condition of Eddie Hogan after the Sheik burned his face this past Tuesday. The Sheik has been suspended indefinitely because of his actions. Jim Cornette: I think whatever his face looks like it will be an improvement! Tim Tyler: Much more action and ICW superstars headed your way. Here comes one now! Ron Garvin comes up to the announce table yelling. Cornette gets up and tries to run away but is cornered. Ron Garvin: If you were trying to get my attention, Cornette, you've got it! I had Crusher Broomfield beat until you and your tennis racket got involved. Let's see how you like getting hit by my Hands of Stone! Out of nowhere, Adrian Street makes his ICW debut, painted up with makeup and feathers in his hair, and attacks Garvin. The two brawl but Street rams Garvin into one of the ring posts and busts him open. Street slaps a sleeper hold he calls Dream Street on the bleeding Garvin. Cornette eggs him on until Garvin is out and Street leaves him laying in a heap. He is attended to by officials while Cornette and Street gloat. Cornette: You had your chance Garvin to join the Cornette Dynasty of Champions, now it's too late! Meet Adrian Street, your worst nightmare. Adrian Street: Now Jim, you know I'm no nightmare, I'm a dream. And Ron Garvin is having sweet dreams right now, and there's plenty more to come. Street kisses at the camera and leaves with Cornette as we go to commercial. Commercial Back from commercial, Tim Tyler shows us video of the July 12th confrontation between Ron Garvin and the One Man Gang, Cornette's interference and Gang winning the rights to the name. Then video is shown of what just happened before the commercial break. Tyler informs us that when Garvin came to he demanded a match with Street this Saturday night. Tyler says that these men will also be in action Saturday night and introduces the Fortunate Sons. Lanny Poffo: Yes sir, we will be in action Saturday in Bristol. Leroy Redbone and Brett Hart will be facing the winners of the Tag Team Title tournament match coming up next. Mike Graham will face a lesser Mike, Mike Davis, that does not have his illustrious bloodline. And I will face my brother yet again and prove to him and to you people one more time that I am the best. Unfortunately, Randy Savage will not be here in the studio tonight. Tyler: And why is that? Redbone: Oh, oh, can I tell him why? Can I? Can I? Graham: Calm down, Leroy. Leroy is a bit excitable, but I can't blame him. We have a big surprise later in the show for everybody. Tyler: And what is that? Hart: Didn't you hear the man say it was a surprise, eh? Poffo: That is right. And it is time for the Tag Team Tournament final now anyway. We are going to sit right here with you and watch, Mr. Tyler. The New Generation vs Giant Haystacks and Athol Foley w/ J.R. Foley -- The New Generation win in 10:47 to be come the new ICW Tag Team Champions. Tyler talks up Giant Haystacks battle royal win at Summerfest, last eliminating both members of the New Generation. The Fortunate Sons make fun of Batten and Wilhoit and put them down. The match ends when Haystacks is knocked off the apron by The New Generation on top of J.R. Foley, then they hit Athol Foley with a double slingshot suplex for the win. After the match, The New Generation celebrate with the belts and have a stare down with the Fortunate Sons on their way to the locker room. Commercial A promo for this Saturday's show in Bristol is shown: 7PM Viking Hall, Bristol, TN Leroy Redbone and Brett Hart vs The New Generation - ICW Tag Team Title Match Mike Graham vs Mike Davis Ron Garvin vs Adrian Street Pez Whatley vs Mike Doggendorf David Sammartino vs Stan Stasiak Giant Haystacks and Athol Foley vs Mighty Igor and Don Anderson Lanny Poffo vs Randy Savage - The World Heavyweight Title is on the line! Pez Whatley comes out to the ring and grabs a mike. Whatley: Last week I challenged Angelo Poffo to find some African subjects to bow down to their King! So whoever he found that was man enough to face me, come on out! From the locker room out comes Little Coco and the Haiti Kid. Whatley: You have got to be kidding me! Is this a joke? I guess it takes two of you to equal one of me. This is not what I meant, Poffo! Pez Whatley vs Little Coco and Haiti Kid (two on one handicap match) -- Little Coco and the Haiti Kid win in 5:15 The referee informs Whatley that he is to face Little Coco and the Haiti Kid in a handicapped match. Coco and the Kid use their quickness to frustrate Whatley, crawling between his legs and kicking him in the butt, headbutting him in the stomach, and basically hitting and running until finally Whatley gets his hands on Coco and hits him with a slam. The crowd boos when Whatley goes for the falling headbutt, but the Haiti Kid pulls Coco out of the way and Whatley eats the mat. The midgets pile on Whatley for the win. Commercial Lanny Poffo is at the interview area with Brett Hart. A graphic shows this is an ICW Spotlight. Poffo: Here with me now is Canadian Superstar Brett Hart of the famous Hart family. Brett, we are honored to have you represent the honor of the Hart Dungeon here in ICW. Hart: Thank you, Lanny. I have a huge family, but here in ICW it feels like I've found a second family with the Fortunate Sons. Poffo: Now, Brett, you also have an older brother named Bret, is that correct? Hart: That's right, Lanny. See, there's not much to do in Canada, it's always cold, we spend most of our time indoors. Because of that, my Dad Stu and my mom Helen made a lot of babies. First came Smith Stewart, then Bruce Dennis Luis, then Keith William, then-- Poffo: I don't think we have time for all the names, this is just a one hour show. Someone changing channels might think they are watching a rerun of The Waltons. Hart: Right, right. Anyway, I was number 10 out of 13 kids, and I guess my mom and dad had just ran out of names, so they reused Bret and added an extra T. But I don't mind, even though my brother Bret was always Dad's favorite. Poffo: I know how that goes. Well, Brett with two t's, we look forward to seeing you for a long time to come here in ICW. Back to you, Tim. Tyler: On July 12th, Eddie Hogan was the victim of a fireball thrown by ICW United States Heavyweight Champion The Sheik. The Sheik has been indefinitely suspended, let's show you why. This footage may not be suitable for our younger viewers. The video plays of the end of the match, with The Sheik hitting Hogan with the fireball and him screaming and holding his face, then getting helped by EMT's. Tyler: We have a live feed of Hogan at the hospital. Eddie, can you hear me? Video is shown of a man in a hospital bed with a bandaged face. He gives a thumbs up. Tyler: Eddie, I hear your recovery is going well. Hopefully you will be able to come back soon. I'm sure the fans can't wait to see you again. The man in the bed gives another thumbs up. Tyler: Has your brother Hulk Hogan come to visit you? Might he seek revenge on the Sheik for your attack. The man in the bed gives a thumbs down. Tyler: Well, there you have it. We all wish Eddie Hogan a swift recovery. Up next, the Grapplers are back in action! Commercial The Grapplers vs The Dellaserras - The Dellaserras win in 6:06 when Gino pins Grappler #2 after an airplane spin. Tyler shows video of what happened two weeks ago after the Grapplers match and said that Grappler #1 must have found another partner. After the match Grappler #1 beats up Grappler #2 and takes the mask and leaves. The man under the mask is Randy Scott. Ratamyus, the Man in Black, Masked Terror, and new recruit Spiderman all come out. Spiderman and Masked Terror take Scott under the ring while Ratamyus and The Man in Black remain in the ring. The Man in Black grabs a microphone and begins to speak for the first time. The Man In Black: My army is almost complete. This key holds the power to control men with evil in their hearts, this key in the past was used by Ox Baker to control Ratamyus, now I use it to control him and others like him. This day has been foretold. I have been watching you from afar, Jimmy Valiant. Your fate has been sealed. I know in the past you have had evil in your heart, and you will do so again. You will join us of your own free will, or we will take you and make you like us. We are the Pentagram (The Man in Black holds up the key and the camera zooms in on the picture of the pentagram on the handle) The Pentagram is a symbol of evil. It attracts sinister forces because it overturns the proper order of things and demonstrates the triumph of matter over spirit. We will crush your spirit, Jimmy Valiant. We are chaos, we are evil, we are...The Pentagram! Commercial Jimmy Valiant vs Ratamyus (Television Title Match) -- Valiant wins by DQ in 4:24 Ratamyus did not seem to care about winning, only inflicting pain on Valiant. The referee disqualifies Ratamyus when he continually refuses to break a choke. After the match, The Man in Black yells 'Join Us!' over and over before leaving with Ratamyus. Commercial Liz Hullette is with Billy Spears in the interview area. Billy Spears: I've raised a lot of hell in my day, but nothing like what we just saw in that ring. I caused a few riots, I lost an eye, I've seen and done it all. And I see something special in David Sammartino. That kid has a fire in his belly just like his old man. Bruno sent him out into the world to toughen him up. The Sammartino name will get you in the door, but it's up to that kid to stay here and make it on his own. But I want to take him under my wing and teach him everything I know. I know I'm almost done, and I want to give something back before my time is up. The kid did good against Ox Baker this past Tuesday. (Video is shown of David winning by count out) Ox Baker has killed two men with his heart punch, and David survived! He's in training to take out Stan Stasiak this Saturday, and I think he's ready to show Stasiak a fight like he's never seen. So watch out Stasiak, because David Sammartino is going to beat you just like his old man did! The Fortunate Sons walk over to Spears and let him know that they have been keeping their eyes on David Sammartino too, that he would be better off with them, and they are going to talk to him next week about becoming the next Fortunate Son. Lanny Poffo: Now, about that surprise you've all been waiting for. Leroy Redbone: Oh boy! Oh boy! Lanny Poffo: At Summerfest, my brother Randy Savage couldn't beat Tully Blanchard. Some might say he ran out of time, but I say he just could not get the job done. Now we spoke to Tully, and he is definately a Fortunate Son. Southwest Championship Wrestling is in good hands with that one. And Tully gave us a hand with trying to convice Randy of the error of his ways. Footage plays of Randy Savage walking to his car after Summerfest. From behind, Tully Blanchard and Killer Khan attack. We see the camera shake as the man holding it runs closer to Randy. The Fortunate Sons all take turns attacking Randy except for Lanny who is filming. Mike Graham opens the trunk of his car and they shove Savage in and slam the trunk lid. Tim Tyler: My God! You're animals! Mike Graham: Watch it, Tyler! You see what happens when you're with us, and what happens when you're against us. Randy Savage found out, and that's why he couldn't be here today. Leroy: Can I tell 'em? Can I tell 'em? Mike: Go ahead, Leroy. Leroy: He couldn't be here, because HE'S STILL IN THE TRUNK! Liz screams, the studio panics, everyone runs outside to Mike Graham's car. Tim Tyler, the Dellaserras, Billy Spears, and the midgets all work together to get the trunk open. Finally, they pop it open and inside is the lifeless body of Randy Savage. Liz is sobbing. The inside of the trunk looks like he tried to claw his way out. Tyler says somebody call an ambulance. And we fade to black.
  8. What about the women's and midget champions, Little Tokyo (NWA World Midget's Champion) The Fabulous Moolah (NWA Women's World Champion) Princess Victoria and Velvet McIntyre (NWA women's world tag team champions)
  9. Angelo Poffo accepts your apology and reparations, in the hopes of future mutually beneficial talent sharing, and appreciation of your quality product.
  10. ICW gets no credit for providing the Andersons? Boo! Angelo Poffo will remember that!
  11. Yes! Darsow heel turn. Great tag team action! Have you thought about doing a Crockett Cup when the time comes? The Dr. D stuff is fun. Add Ric Flair and the Freebirds on top and you guys are doing an amazing job. Loving this from my home promotion.
  12. Thanks Bottomlessjack2! Saturday tv and Saturday night show will be posted later tonight.
  13. Got my copy today, it looks great! Thanks vikingsfan73
  14. I've got two guys going later this year but I already have plans to write them out before they go.
  15. Ric Flair defeated Bruiser Brody by a roll up. Brody did the job!? I know it's Ric Flair, but still, kudos on convincing Mr. Brody to put him over.
  16. I really enjoy the match descriptions, especially since it's something I'm not good at.
  17. I'm sure Mr. Bockwinkel flies first class, he probably slept comfortably on the plane.
  18. Kayfabe answer: You can save your thanks, and I hope you use your extra mileage to drive right over a cliff. Non Kayfabe answer: It's tradition, plus maybe it gets people to notice. There will be more. I'm enjoying the interaction between the promotions, and seeing what things could have been like with the territory system still in place in a global world.
  19. Stay tuned this Saturday morning on ICW All Star Wrestling for a recap of what went down after Summerfest between Randy Savage, Tully Blanchard, and the Fortunate Sons!

Khan gets to his feet and starts yelling and throwing chairs in the ring at Garvin. Garvin jumps out of the ring and starts brawling uncontrollably with Khan leading to the double DQ. Match 4: Fabulous Ones vs Rock-N-Roll Express - The Fabulous Ones win by forfeit. The Fabulous Ones are announced as the winner by forfeit. Stan Lane grabs a mike and says the Rock-N-Roll Express can't Rock and Roll All Nite, they're out before dark. Keirn says it must be past their bedtime and that for all their talk about helping sick kids, when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is that's all they are: TALK. Lane says they are disgusted that the RNR Express don't care about sick kids like the ones at St. Jude's, but The Fabs do and they are still going to make their donation. The crowd cheers. Gene and Lars Anderson make their way out to ring. Gene Anderson: That's the problem with all you young punks, all you care about are women and snot nosed kids. All the Anderson's care about are hurting people and winning titles. Lars Anderson: We'll take care of winning the titles soon enough, but right now I see a couple of pretty boys that need to be taught a lesson. Match 5: The Andersons vs The Fabulous Ones - Fabulous Ones win by pinfall in 15:10 The fans were treated to a great match at least with the Fabulous Ones picking up the win against the legendary Andersons to make the kids happy. He hits a dropkick to Baker's knees and finally gets him down. Sammartino locks on the figure four leglock, but Baker makes it to the ropes. Baker rolls out of the ring and struggles to stand, unable to make it back in before the 10 count, losing by count out. One Man Gang vs Ronnie Garvin - Winner is the one true 'One Man Gang' and has all rights to the name FOREVER! - One Man Gang wins by pinfall at 20:21 after the 747 splash. Garvin and Gang go back and forth in a very competitive match with a lot of brawling. Jim Cornette makes his way to the ring and bashes Garvin with his tennis racket when the referee wasn't looking. One Man Gang immediately hits the 747 splash to win the rights to the One Man Gang name. Jimmy Valiant vs Bob Orton Jr. - Jimmy Valiant by DQ in 6:26 Valiant and Orton;s match barely got started when Ratamyus, the Masked Terror, and The Man in Black all came out from under the ring and tried to drag him under. Both men tear into each other but Savage quickly gets the upper hand with his tenacity and ferocity. Savage pummels Lanny, hits a piledriver on him but refuses to pin him just yet. The Fortunate Sons hit the ring as Savage goes up top for the flying elbow. Savage valiants fights off the other three men, but they finally get the advantage. Mike Graham produces brass knuckles and prepares to punch Savage as the other two men hold him when Angelo Poffo comes out with his head bandaged carrying a baseball bat, swinging wildly. An angry Savage swings the bat against the ring post shattering it after the heels retreat.
  23. Steamboat Zbyskzko sounds great. SD Jones is moving up in the world with a Heavyweight Title shot.
  24. And how are we to know what's a mistake and what's real behind the scenes dirt.
  25. Really well written and researched, but Eddie Graham could get in trouble picking a fight with 16 year old Jeff Jarrett. That Don Owens sounds like a real kingpin. And here I thought Dungeon Masters was a reference to this new game and cartoon coming on in September. Verne talking Greg up was hilarious. The Sting and the Police stuff and Dory Muraco write up were great too.
