  4. I'm looking to have Harley Race on the 4th.
  5. Central States believes that the belt is perfectly cromulent around the waist of current champion Harley Race, but would be fine with seeing it transition to Ric Flair, say, at the first ever Starrcade?
  6. They were Central States Tag chaps in late '82, figured they were more likely to go than some of my other tag choices. Hernandez/Robertson, that is.

  9. Bulldog Brown I already knew about, and, given the reputation he has, I don't think anyone intends to pick him before I do (and, for the record, I do intend to), Jones I did not, but I'll look into that. I was more so looking at guys that had worked the promotion previously, which opens things up some more. Sorry if I post a lot in here, I get really excited with stuff like this. I've been part of the EWR/TEW community for, like, a decade now, writing 'diaries' and things like that. I love booking, and talking booking. It's incredibly fun for me.
  10. Much appreciated. Like I said earlier, it's starting to get to the time where I'd probably be better off searching for workers with history in the area, and, while Wikipedia has given me some direction in that area, I am looking to learn more, especially since I have a less 'famous' territory.
  11. I've got two tag teams I'm looking at, one of which I don't believe was tagging at the time, but with two draft picks back to back I don't believe that will really matter. One of the two teams I'm almost absolutely sure no one will pick, the other has some potential to be selected. I think that one advantage of being Central States is that it should be possible to grab some guys with name recognition in the territory later, without too much worry of them getting snapped up. EDIT: I'm also going to reach out for some help on things. I have some experience, simply from EWR and TEW, in how to put together cards, things like that, so I'm not worried there, HOWEVER, I don't have the knowledge most of you guys have from watching tons of tape and stuff... Where would be the best place to research my territory? I've tried Google/Wikipedia, and it's a start, but outside of that I'm a little lost... Also, thinking of running my tapings on Monday, is this a good fit? Not sure on that, either. Not looking for people to run my territory for me, but I want to be able to work with people, so I'm looking to get a feel for this part of things.
  12. I'd love thoughts on my draft so far, since I basically know nothing about Central States, I just chose people that I knew could fit spots, and that should be able to get over any where. You guys have me scared >_>
  13. He would have been amazing as a grumpy old man trying to keep Tony Atlas down! I've also been thinking that, while I'm really happy with my draft, they're pretty much all heels...
  14. Gotta be honest, I kinda hoped Ernie Ladd would fall to me. Man, thinking more about it, he would have been really cool to do something with Tony Atlas. Probably would have been too John Singleton for 1983, though.
  15. I think expansion into open territory should be fine, not so sure about going to war. It'd be fun, but there would probably be much butthurt.
  16. I forgot to mention, but the Missouri Heavyweight Championship has been vacant since June 10th, when Harley Race became the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. If any NWA member is interested in having a wrestler compete for this prestigious championship, please, put forth the name, and they shall be considered for the honor of competing in an eight man championship tournament to crown a new champion. Obviously, with our favorable dealings with Montreal, we are eager to avoid any conflicts with their championship tournament, however, a title with as much history and standing as the Missouri Heavyweight Championship belongs around the waist of a deserving champion, so needs must be met.
  17. Central States has found Joe Blanchard to be fair and honest in his dealings.
  18. The Hi Flyers were the tag team I was speaking of.
  19. I'm planning to use him an angle with Orton, as they ended up taking around this time.
  20. There is a manager, a singles, and a tag team that are still on the board that I'm eyeing. I don't really need the manager, but I love him, the singles would be great fun to book, though I'm well stocked on heels, and I'm legitimately surprised the team is still on the board.
  21. Central States, the All American wrestling organization is proud to announce its next draft pick... Don Kernodle!
  22. Completely my offer with no negotiation from dedhemingway. He took forever to answer, so I thought he would reject me. I needed Rocky. That much charisma, a Canadian who is that over and is pretty good in the ring. Damn right! Part of it was thinking about it, since I love the idea of booking the Soul Patrol, had a TEW game where I was going to give then a huge push, part of it was being at work.
  23. I was an offer I couldn't refuse.
