I'm fine with doing it either way. I think that forcing ourselves into only voting twice a year takes a little of the fun out of it. Are we going to have an NWA president, things like that?

I control Race after he drops the belt. If he's dropped the belt by then and you still want him in, I'm sure we can work something out. As far as him as champ goes, I'd prefer if he keeps the belt until Starrcade, I don't really care what happens after that. I want him to be a presence in Central States, but need time to build Bock as the guy for now to set up the angle I have in mind.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a thing for Alicia Fox. I mean, I'm just sayin... >_>

I lost Piper, but Bock is a great replacement, if of a different style. -
Someone mention a world title? Because that currently resides in Missouri. Not sure what you're talking about...

I agree that it's really interesting to see strategies unfold. Myself, I too am looking to fill 'spots', and I do have an idea for the overarching 'style' that I'm going to bring to Central States. Bock was selected to be the ace while Race was gone, and I think that I'm going to target tag teams with the three back to back picks I have at the end of rounds, if any are still available. -
So...what you're saying is there's no way he falls to me in the second >_>

Managers are draftable, correct?

I needed someone who can hold down the territory until Race drops the belt, preferably a solid heel, allowing Race to be the returning hero. I thought about selecting Magnum TA, to build around him, but Race has alot of life left as my ace, so I felt it was a little early for that. -
Central States Wrestling Owner: Bob Geigel (?) Announcer: ? Referee: ? Roster NWA World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race Nick Bockwinkel

I would have taken Piper if RC hadn't. I had a whole angle that he would have been perfect for, but that, with some adjustment, should work with Bock. -
Nick Bockwinkel.

Random first round and snake the rest of the way seems the fairest.

Are we going to be allowed to create 'fake' local talent to use as jobbers as well? Basically just a name on a line...
-
I'll be keeping Tully Blanchard.
-
There's also a 1983 scenario for the freeware 2005 version of TEW, I believe it's called 'Death of the Territories'. Been a few years since I've played it, I mostly use 13 now.
-
Plus I get a cool theme song! Not a bad option, really. It could definitely be worse.
-
Looks like I'll be building around Tully.

I admit, I fully intend to burn it down and rebuild. Just want to see who I can draft before I settle on a style.

I responded to the PM, but I'll put it here too... Like I said in the PM, the territory I'm most familiar with would be WWF, but that's a little more than I want at the moment. So... 1. Central States - Because no one else will want them, and I can mold them into something great. I asked in the PM, where I was told yes, but in the interest of full disclosure, I asked if I'd be allowed to 'save' Harley Race, and then get him back when/if he drops the championship, and was told 'yes', so that's likely the direction I'll go. 2. WCCW 3. WWF Fairly certain I'll get my first choice, but, if not, hey, Von Erichs!
-
I'm happy with taking whoever.
-
I'm actually fine with getting whichever territory needs a booker. I'm gonna have to do some research on the one I get anyway, so I'm happy to take whichever needs done.

Miz is another guy I tend to be much higher on than most people I run into online. I think they had a real shot to make him a long term, top level, heel, although that's not something they really do anymore. He's great as a cowardly asshole, cocky, smarmy, chickenshit. I think he was great in his run with the belt, and the stuff with Cena was very good. He worked well with the 'you will not overlook me' stuff. He's adequate in that role in the ring. He's a terrible face, though, and, while I understand why they tried to turn him, as he's a great ambassador outside the ring, it just never worked out. At this point, Charlotte isn't anywhere close to the best woman they have in the company, I don't think she's as good as some other people do, definitely not on the level of Banks or Lynch (and arguably Bayley), and I don't think she's better than Miz was at his best.

All Time Favourite/Best Tag Team and Why?
dedhemingway replied to JaymeFuture's topic in Pro Wrestling
This is a really hard question for me, because I love tag team wrestling, but there's teams I love for one reason, then a team I love for another. Very hard to just point to one... Road Warriors - Ever since the first time I saw them come to the ring with Iron Man playing, I was like 'damn, those are some bad ass dudes', and I like bad ass dudes that kick the shit out of people. The Public Enemy - Now, hear me out. I'm not saying they're the greatest of all time or anything, but they're one of my favorite teams of all time based on vignettes alone. They're dumb, but they hold up, and they entertain the hell out of me. The Kings of Wrestling - They're the only wrestlers I own a shirt of! Two awesome dudes, one of my favorite in-ring teams of all time. I really wish that Hero would have hung in WWE, because I think they'd have been great as a team there right now. Honorable Mentions - Aerial Express (Quicksilver/Scorpio Sky) and X Foundation (Chris Bosh/Joey Ryan/Scott Lost) - Two of my favorite teams from SoCal, and they had a really awesome feud early in PWG's history as well. -
Going back and watching Hardcore TV on The Network, mostly for the first time, and Raven is one of the guys who just doesn't live up to the hype for me at all. It's hard to put myself in the mindset to hear those promos in the moment they were cut, so they tend to come off as very cringe-worthy to me. As far as the matches go, he's carried by his dog and pony show, mostly Stevie, and to a lesser extend, for me, by the fact that Tommy Dreamer still works. In the end, Raven just...doesn't.
