We'll find out the real truth on a Bruce podcast in about ten years lol
-
Meltzer seemed to be hinting (imo reading between the lines) that the finish was at least partially due to some Heyman fuckery, lobbying that Ronda shouldn't tap. The same sort of blurring the lines shit they've done with Brock a few times in the last few years.

[2019-04-07-WWE-Wrestlemania 35] Shane McMahon vs The Miz (Falls Count Anywhere)
FMKK replied to FMKK's topic in April 2019
I think they need to blow it off with Miz Dad actually getting a shot in on Shane to help Miz win. A low blow or something. -
Apparently there was info online that you could take a train or a bus so lots of people must have missed that to be queuing up for Ubers. Dave is reporting that Ronda suffered a "severely broken hand" in that main event last night.

[2019-04-07-WWE-Wrestlemania 35] Daniel Bryan vs Kofi Kingston
FMKK replied to paul sosnowski's topic in April 2019
Bryan is the best wrestler in the world. He paced the whole thing out and was just a ring general the whole way through. And they worked it like a traditional big time title match as opposed to an indy-style spotfest. There were times when this felt like a carry job, though Kofi did bring the fire when needed and the crowd were rightly into his big moment. I don't think he'll have a long reign but I'd like to see him hold it through a couple of PPVs at least. But I'm almost more excited to see who Bryan mixes it up with next because he's been incredible on this heel run. -
I had an inkling that this match could be fun but it really delivered way beyond the sum of its parts for me. The build-up has been done really well on TV. Shane's entrance, conducting the ring announcer calling his name and his general heeling in the early minutes was fantastic. He was stiffing the shit out of Miz and busted him up with a TV monitor. The Miz Dad stuff went as well as it possibly could and Shane mockingly helping him to put his fists up was another great touch of heeling. And then, maybe for the first time in his career, Miz started laying his shit in as they fought through the crowd. If ever there was a time to do it, it's after your dad gets jumped by your fierce rival. Shane was great at getting his shit kicked in and he actually sold his leg impressively. The bump Shane took from the golf cart to the concrete floor was the damndest thing I've seen in a long time. I've watched the GIF a million times and laughed/screamed every time. Shane also took a sick bump for the Skull Crushing Finale and then the scaffold superplex to finish was absolutely wild. The camera work on that was amazing. I can see people complaining about Shane getting the fluky win but I think there's more mileage in this heel Shane character and I guess they couldn't have babyfaces win all night. Shane is so much better as a heel getting his shit kicked in than as a conquering babyface and Miz was actually pretty strong as the vengeful babyface. This was all gaga but to me, that's (at least in part) what wrestling is all about. Excellent fun with numerous moments that made me gasp or laugh out loud. Give me this shit over the self-conscious indy epic with a million superkicks, ridiculous nearfalls and no-selling. Loved it. ****

He boils the piss of a certain type of fan, but because those smarks don't want to admit to being worked, they put heat on the company for pushing him and such. He's not exactly the greatest wrestler alive but I'm perfectly happy with a douchy guy who knows how to get some heat being pushed and having ok matches rather than just generic people doing the modern day 'great match tropes' performance in a vacuum.
-
He can actually talk pretty well. His heel character work is good imo. And tbh, he isn't terrible in the ring either and can be good with the right opponent. Kurt Angle, who can't even stand upright, is not the right opponent for anyone to have a good match with.
-
He has all the power in the world to work his matches however he wants and he's meant to be this genius booker for NXT. How does he not see that these matches die on their arse every time? Hilarious that Bryan and Kofi got the prime spot instead of him this year.
-
HHH might be the worst big match performer of all time
-
Dave is a madman with some of these bumps he's taken
-
Amazing.
-
Wish that match was a touch shorter but this is an incredible moment and absolutely the right call
-
Yeah, it's a straight up carry job imo
-
Better be a new belt and not some heel turn shit
-
I like to think, or at least hope, that Bryan is smarter than that. This shouldn't last more than 12 minutes or so.
-
Could be an all-time pop here. I'll stick it out for this one and then maybe get some sleep.
-
The Iconics fucking suck but them heeling then getting squashed for the belts could be fun. Missed the match cause I took a bathroom break.
-
Why did they give Bayley the pink-eye make-up
-
I'm watching the GIF over and over again. Pure entertainment. Give me that match over a top rope Spanish Fly or 80 superkicks or whatever the fuck makes a great workrate match these days.
-
Greatest match of all time
-
Holy fuck that bump was ridiculous!
-
I'm gonna say it - this has been great fun. I think they should debut a henchman to give Shane the win.

His heeling is great. His punching is...not
