II Thanksgiving Night, November 27, 1990 Match #1: 6-Man Tag Team Match “Wildfire” Tommy Rich, “Boogie Woogie” Man Jimmy Valiant & The Junkyard Dog defeated The Dirty White Boys & Jimmy Jack Funk when JYD nailed Jimmy Jack with a Big Thump in this nice curtain jerker that saw the babyfaces get some love from the fans. Match #2: Tag Team Match The Destruction Crew (Bloom & Enos) defeated The Southern Boys (Armstrong & Smothers) when Wayne Enos connected with a powerbomb on Armstrong. The Destruction Crew combined questionable tactics and power moves to continue their move up the tag team rankings. In fact, they grabbed the house mic on their way out and claimed that they were ready for a title shot. Match #3: Jeff Jarrett defeated Terry Taylor by DQ as he got caught nailing JJ with a chair shot to the head. JJ and Taylor had a great match before the wild ending as both showed they were able to do the technical stuff as well as mix it up. Taylor told us that he was coming back to Memphis to get revenge on both Jerry Jarrett and Jerry Lawler for their treatment of Taylor last time he was in the area. Well tonight, he started with Jarrett’s son and his revenge didn’t end after the first chair shot as he continued to clobber JJ. Finally, it was Wildfire Tommy Rich who rushed in to chase Taylor away. MATCH #4: USWA WORLD TELEVISION TITLE MATCH “Stunning” Steve Austin © with Medusa vs Michael Wallstreet with Ms. Alexandria York This rematch from the Halloween Spooktacular was only made possible because Michael Wallstreet agreed to pay Stunning Steve $20,000 if he doesn’t win the title. As the combatants are being introduced, we once again seeing a concerned Ms. York looking over the computer and the data for the title bout. The match starts just like the one from last month as Stunning Steve seems to always be one step ahead of Wallstreet. After about 4 minutes on top for the champ, Ms. York tripped up Austin which caused a momentum change as the challenger took control. Medusa, fuming, rushed over and warned York not to get involved again or else. York, obviously frightened, coward under the larger and tougher Medusa. Wallstreet was only able to keep control for so long as Austin just seemed better. Again, Ms. York climbs up on the apron and starts trying to distract both the ref and Austin. Here comes Medusa!! WHAM… from out of no where comes this large wild woman with paint on here face and a mohawk style hair-cut. She scoops up Medusa and slams here awkwardly onto the cement. This chaos distracted everyone in the ring …. Except for Wallstreet. It was like he knew this was coming. WHAM…. Wallstreet smashes the large computer over the head of Austin and he is busted open. Wallstreet now scoops up Austin …. Airplane Spin/Samoan Drop combo. 1…2…3! Michael Wallstreet is the NEW USWA World TV Champion! MATCH #5: MEMPHIS STREET FIGHT Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart vs Greg “The Hammer” Valentine with Jimmy Hart As any Street Fight Should be… Brawl, Brawl, Brawl… so lets just get to the finish. Both men are showing some color and signs of exhaustion. Neidhart whips Valentine into the ropes but somehow, the Hammer gets himself all tangled up. Neidhart looks like a man possessed and heads out of the ring and goes to the announcer’s table where he grabs the actual anvil that he came to the ring with. The ref and Jimmy Hart are frantically trying to untangle Valentine. Neidhart is closing in when he sees Jimmy Hart. Anvil flips Hart into the ring and now is going after the Mouth of the South! Jimmy Hart is scooting on his butt trying to get away but there is nowhere to go. Finally, the ref frees up the Hammer. Valentine picks up the megaphone that Hart had dropped on the apron when he was trying to help untangle Valentine. Anvil with the anvil after Hart…. Valentine with the megaphone after an unsuspecting Neidhart! WHAM… How did that happen…. Neidhart must have heard Valentine coming, turned at the last second and nailed Valentine with the handle of the anvil right in the side of the head. Valentine is down and out. Jimmy Hart has run for cover. Anvil with the cover. 1…2….3!!! MATCH #6: USWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH The Road Warriors © vs The Rock n Roll Express Two of the greatest teams in wrestling history face off but you couldn’t think of more contrast styles. Speed vs power to the extreme! This is the USWA World Tag Team Champions vs The USWA Southern Tag Team Champions but it is only the Road Warriors whose World Title is on the line. It is Hawk and Robert Gibson who start off and as soon as the lock up collar and elbow, Hawk launches Robert across the ring. With Robert sitting on the ground, you can just tell by the look on his face that he was overwhelmed by Hawk’s power. It is one thing to know about the power of the Road Warriors but it is another to feel it first-hand. Robert with a new plan… They lock up again and this time it’s Robert with a go behind to a hammer lock to an inside cradle for the pin. Count of 1 and Hawk launches Robert into the air. Hawk with a big scream and flex! We get about half the crowd with a pop. Hawk rushes at Robert and nails him with a big clothesline. Ricky rushes in and Hawk military press’s him and tosses him on top of Robert! Things slow down for a second as both teams tag out. It is Ricky vs Animal. Animal simply kicks Ricky in the gut and lifts him up by his head and throws him into the Warriors corner where Animal and Hawk go to work. Robert rushes over but Animal simply turns and nails him with a huge clothesline. Robert again flies to the matt. A bit if a funny spot is next as Robert once again rushes over to save Ricky but this time he sees Animal turn and Robert stops and walks towards his corner. He thinks he has saved himself from another major blow but it was Animal who followed him and nailed him with a big clothesline to the back of his head and Robert is down for about the 10th time already in the match. Ricky tries to escape but Animal catches him and whips him into the ropes. Morton comes off with a cross-body block only to be caught by Animal. Animal slams Morton into his knee; lifting him over and over again dropping him each time across his knee. Somehow both members of the Rock n Roll Express roll out of the ring and they come together to discuss a new plan as this one is not working. Ricky up on the apron as here comes Animal. It is Robert who trips up Animal and together Ricky and Robert who ram Animal’s leg into the ring post. The RnR Express now go to work on Animal. Double clothesline- Double Drop Kick-Double Leg Drop. It is know Animal playing the wrestler in peril as the Express have him in real trouble.Ricky and Robert with quick tags are flying all over Animal. They are hitting him with every move you could think off. Pin attempt after pin attempt… 2 count after 2 count. Animal tried on numerous occasions to escape only to have Ricky and Robert double team him back to their own corner. Finally, it was Ricky with a mistake as he whipped Animal into the corner and rushed in to quickly as Animal launched himself out with a nasty clothesline. With Ricky down, Animal tags in Hawk. Hawk is now cleaning house! He nails Ricky… Robert… Ricky… Robert. Animal is back up and scoops up Ricky. Hawk to the top rope! WHAM…. Dooms Day Device!!! 1…2….3! The Road Warriors survive. Wow… what a bout. The Rock n Roll Express almost had the Road Warriors. MATCH #7: GRUDGE MATCH “The King” Jerry Lawler & Brian Lawler vs Honky Tonk Man & “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert with Jimmy Hart With this one being so personal, we get a great brawl from beginning to end. One thing that was interesting was that Jimmy Hart come out in a new outfit. That left many to speculate if Hart had crapped himself when Neidhart came after him with the Anvil! As for the match, it might have just been a little too much too soon for Brian Lawler as The First Family seemed to outsmart him a few times as he took a pretty good beating. The King tried on a few occasions to rush in and save The Prince but the ref thwarted him at every turn. Finally, the King had enough. He rushed in a tossed the ref to the side. Next, he tosses Hot Stuff out of the ring. He is now all over his cousin… HTM or should we say Wayne Ferris. Give Ferris some credit…. He was not backing down. There is some serious family issues here! WHOOOSH! Jerry Lawler has just thrown a Fireball into the face of HTM! HTM is writhing in pain. Jimmy Hart has a towel over his man’s face. The ref has called for the bell and the First Family has won by DQ! The King wants more of Ferris but officials have rushed out to stop The King. Has the King crossed the line or was this just a father protecting his son … or maybe… after decades of Jimmy Hart coming after Jerry Lawler, the King has taken the law into his own hands! MATCH #8: USWA WORLD TITLE MATCH The Big Bossman © vs “The Macho Man” Randy Savage with Miss. Elizabeth If you weren’t sure who the heel and the babyface were in this match just take a look at the entrances. Bossman coming out wearing his correctional officers uniform slamming the nightstick into his own hand with a sadistic grin on his face all the while berating the fans on his way to the ring. Macho Man comes out wearing a fluorescent green robe and tights with a green and gold cowboy hat and neon sunglasses. He is pointing at the fans like they were his long lost friend. Elizabeth, in a beautiful red dress and stepping back giving Randy all of the attention. The fans bought into this and if they didn’t know who they were rooting for before, are now all behind Macho Man. As for the match, the first thing you notice is the size advantage for Bossman. He is huge! The two walk to the center of the ring. WAAP…. Bossman slaps Savage. WAAP…. Savage slaps Bossman. The two slap each other about 5 times and then lock up and roll around the ropes all over the ring. Finally, the ref breaks them up in the corner but Bossman with a huge heel elbow on the break and Savage is down. Bossman gets the first shot at wrestling from the top. Bossman makes this more of a boxing match then anything else with huge right hands. Give Savage some credit as he took about 5 blows and then blocked the 6th one and fired away with a few of his own. Bossman wasn’t having any of this and followed up a rake of the eyes with a nasty headbutt and Savage was down again. Bossman now begins the big moves. He drops Savage over the bottom rope and runs across the ring and jumps on Savage’ back. Next, he slides out of the ring and nails Savage with another big right hand. Savage rolls all the way across the ring and out onto the floor as Bossman heads to the center of the ring and gloats about his dominance. Finally Bossman heads out to attack Savage but it was too long. Savage with the Ax Handle chop and he is back in control! Savage rams Bossman’s head into the steel barrier and then to the amazement of all, he scoops up Bossman and slams him on the concrete floor. Savage is about to run Bossman in the steel ring post but … WHAM… Bossman reversed it and it is Savage he goes face first into the post. Somehow, Savage made it in before the count of 10 but it is only to take more punishment. Kicks, chops, elbows, slams and splashes…. It is all Bossman. WHAM… Bossman with a belly to belly powerbomb and he knows its over. He simply lays across Savage 1…2…. Oh my God… Savage kicks out! Bossman drags up Savage into a nasty headlock but somehow Savage nails the back drop! Savage is still slow but he is starting to feel it as Bossman is down and trying to recover. It is a race to see who is up first. The fans are so disappointed as it is Bossman up first. He is really showing why he is the champion. WHAM… Another giant splash in the corner! UMMMPH …. Bossman locks in the Bear Hug. Savage is flailing in agony but there is no quit in the Macho Man. He kind of slithers up in the bear hug and now has a bit of a leverage advantage and starts throwing big right hands at Bossman. Bossman drops Savage and again, we see both men struggling to be first up. Again, it is the champ and he whips Savage into the corner but nobody home… Savage scampers to the top rope and comes off with a double axhandle smash to Bossman. Like lightening, Savage rushes across the ring and scampers up to the top. He is now almost ¾ of the ring away from Bossman. He stands tall… arms up in the air… leaps WHAM… Savage with the Top Rope Flying Elbow Drop!! 1…2…3! Randy “Macho Man” Savage is the new USWA World Heavyweight Champion. He grabs the belt and crumbles to his knees. He is in tears as Elizabeth is hugging him. The Bossman has not only lost the title but has played a major part in the Macho Man gaining the love and respect of the crowd.

I really enjoyed the interview with the Citadel. It will be interesting where things go from here.

One of my favorites!!! John Denver was great.

Midsouth Coliseum Thanksgiving Night, November 27, 1990 6-Man Tag Team Match “Wildfire” Tommy Rich, Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant & The Junkyard Dog Vs The Dirty White Boys & Jimmy Jack Funk How we got here: No real backstory here. Just starting the show with some decent names to get the fans involved. Tag Team Match The Southern Boys (Armstrong & Smothers) vs The Destruction Crew (Bloom & Enos) How we got here: No real backstory here. The Destruction Crew recently debuted on tv. At first, fans were not sure what to make of Mike Enos and Wayne Bloom as they headed to the ring with hard hats and orange construction worker vests with no shirt underneath. Their long blond hair, toned bodies and fluorescent pink tights have the women interested …. But that doesn’t last long as they attack Sweet Brown Sugar and Pez Whatley before the bell and continue to throw forearms, elbows and kicks and throw in a few body slams and clotheslines. They bend every rule that was written from not breaking until the count of 4, using the ropes for leverage and rushing into the ring to distract the ref and allow the other to break more rules. SWB and Whatley are too good just to be dominated and make a comeback … that is until Mike Enos cracks SWB over the head with his hardhead while Bloom was distracting the ref. After the tainted win, the two were berated by Lance Russell but they could care less. Mike Enos: Lance… we don’t care what you have to say. In fact, we don’t care what anyone has to say. We were the best team in the AWA and now we will be the best team here in the USWA. We are exactly what our names says we are… The Destruction Crew. Wayne Bloom: It won’t be long Lance until we get what we came here for … gold! We don’t care who comes out on top between the Road Warriors and The Rock n Roll Express…. As we will destroy either one. Trust me… 1990 will end very, very badly for someone. Now, it is time to see how the Destruction Crew stacks up against one of the best tag teams in the USWA! Jeff Jarrett vs Terry Taylor How we got here: This week’s show starts with a good matchup between Terry Taylor and “White Lightening” Tim Horner. Lance Russell started the match by putting over Taylor’s wrestling ability and that the fans are really going to love having Taylor back in the territory. The match started with a handshake and then went into a pretty good series of chain wrestling as the two went back and forth. Finally we see Taylor back Horner on the corner. WHAM… Knee to the gut by Taylor. Lance Russell is shocked but that is nothing. Taylor continues with questionable tactics until he finally puts Horner away with the Five Arm. At the podium, Lance let’s Terry know that he was surprised by what he just saw in the ring. Terry Taylor: Get used to it Lance. Get used to it. I’m not the same Terry Taylor who was running around here a few years ago just trying to do what the establishment said. I did anything Jerry Lawler asked! I did anything Jerry Jarrett asked… and where did it get me? No where. I was used. I was the scapegoat that took all the punishment while Lawler ran and hid with his titles. Well things are going to be different. I’m here to get even for the wrongs that happened to me and I think I will start with Jerry Jarrett’s son…. Be ready young gun…. You’ll soon find out what Terry Taylor is all about. Later in the show, Jeff Jarrett had a nice win against The Masked invader and told Lance in the post-match interview that he was disappointed in what he saw and heard from Terry Taylor. He said that he was looking forward to working with Taylor but after today… he will look forward to working against Terry. Later in the night, we find out that Terry Taylor will face Jeff Jarrett at Wrestlecade II in the Midsouth Coliseum on Thanksgiving. USWA WORLD TELEVISION TITLE MATCH “Stunning” Steve Austin © with Medusa vs Michael Wallstreet with Ms. Alexandria York How we got here: Wallstreet and York have been bragging that between their money and technology, there isn’t anyone that can stop them. Well that proved to be untrue as Austin recently defeated Wallstreet at Halloween Spooktacular last month in the Midsouth Coliseum. Wallstreet claimed that this win was a fluke and only happened because Medusa attacked Ms. York and Wallstreet was distracted. While Wallstreet embellished the attack by Medusa who was really preventing York from interfering in the match, Stunning Steve was not against granting Wallstreet a rematch …. If the price was right! Austin demanded that Wallstreet give him $20,000 if Austin defeated Wallstreet at Wrestlecade. Wallstreet laughed … calling this pocket change and accepted the stipulations. All of these occurred while Ms. York seemed to be running the information through her computer. If looks mean anything…. Ms. York didn’t seem to like her man’s chances. MEMPHIS STREET FIGHT Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart vs Greg “The Hammer” Valentine with Jimmy Hart How we got here: These two former USWA Southern Tag Team champions recently split after Anvil attacked the leader of the First Family, Jimmy Hart who went after Anvil first as he was upset at the title loss to the Rock n Roll Express. Valentine sided with Hart and Anvil has vowed to not only take out Valentine but the entire First Family. This is just the next installment of this feud. If it is as violent as many expect, it could be the end of the road for someone! USWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH The Road Warriors © vs The Rock n Roll Express How we got here: The Road Warriors recently defeated The Steiner Brothers to win the title and Rick Steiner had injured his leg during the match. This injury forced the Steiner Brothers to forgo their rematch which then made the USWA Southern Tag Team Champs the #1 contenders for the World Title! If the Rock n Roll Express can handle the size and power of the Road Warriors is yet to be determined but nobody should count Ricky and Robert out of it. They have proved themselves to be one of the best tag teams this sport has ever seen and it anyone could defeat the Road Warriors, it is them! GRUDGE MATCH “The King” Jerry Lawler & Brian Lawler vs Honky Tonk Man & “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert with Jimmy Hart How we got here: This started months ago as HTM warned Brian Christopher to leave Memphis Wrestling or else he would reveal some major secret. Christopher did leave or so we thought. A masked man, POW arrived around the time Christopher left. HTM smelled something fishy and went after POW. Week after week, POW was able to handle HTM… that is until Jimmy Hart smashed an Elvis Pressley signed guitar over POW’s head which allowed HTM to remove his mask … revealing Brian Christopher. The next week on tv, HTM and the entire First Family demanded that Christopher come to the podium which he did. As HTM was about to spill the beans on Christopher, Brian turned the tables on HTM. Christopher immediately revealed that he was “The Prince of Wresting” (POW) and let everyone know that Jerry Lawler was his father. He went on to tell everyone that Honky Tonk Man was actually his low-life cousin Wayne Ferris who was the black sheep of the family. HTM, fuming, attacked the young Lawler. This led to Daddy Lawler and the Anvil rushing out to make the save… and here we are… a family feud along with the hated Eddie Gilbert! USWA WORLD TITLE MATCH The Big Bossman © vs “The Macho Man” Randy Savage with Miss. Elizabeth How we got here: Savage, the USWA Southern Champion, has been after Bossman for a long time but Jerry Lawler kept getting in the way. After Savage defeated Lawler and Bossman last month in the big Texas Tornado Three-Way Country Whipping Match, he clearly became the #1 contender for the USWA title. These two have been beating on each other since late summer and this might just be Macho Man’s night!

Really nice of you to give the people Alaska a great night of wrestling as darkness is about to set in for the next 4 months. Loved Title Night as we get a lot of chaos throughout the card... I guess that's the Memphis fan in me where chaos is the name of the game. All your chaos seems to be setting up for SuperClash... great continuity. Leo Burke-Iceman and then KKB-Hansen were great post-match attacks that seem to hype up some big feuds that are coming our way. I think Flair needed a nice clean win without any help from the Horsemen to give some extra legitimacy to his reign and he sure proved he was the man with the big win over Saito.... looking forward to Hogan amping up his chance. Hansen-Jumbo... this one sells all over the world. Great finish as both men look strong after the bout. Would love to see a rematch of that opening tag bout. I like both of these teams!!
-
Survivor Series is looking awesome. I might announce some of Bad News' teammates in some special show or commercial. Maybe get some last minute sales. Same with who will face Fugi's Clan.
-
Vader is on fire! Enjoying the power struggle between the WWF and Bad News Brown. It might be more fun of the WWF picks his team.
-
Really like the little details you add like Brad wanted more of the Dangerous Alliance. You find ways to keep certain guys looking good even in defeat. Some huge matches coming. I agree with Eric.... Steamboat vs Muta is going to be great. I recently saw an interview with Steamboat and he talked about wrestling Muta in long matches and it was very frustrating. He said that he had trouble getting Muta to settle into some sort of pace in these 45 minutes as Muta always wanted to go 1000 MPH. Either way, it would be awesome to watch.
-
Now I would have loved to have seen Bad News and OMG!!! Really liking this Russian angle as it seems really historically correct for the time period with the whole Lithuanian part. Funk vs Von Erich... glad you had the distraction by Sherri and Haku which means we might get more of this one.

Dibiase has some serious challengers after him. Imagine wrestling Bam Bam with Brett Hart in the back of your mind

Highlights from this week’s tv show. The USWA Keeps Rolling On! The show opens with a quick montage of all the goings-on from last week’s Halloween Spooktacular from the Midsouth Coliseum. We see Batman going over The Joker, Jimmy Hart smashing the guitar over the head of POW, Jeff Jarrett with the pin of Kabuki, the Rock n Roll Express with the double dropkick on the Dirty White Boys, Medusa pulling Miss. York off the apron in the USWA World Title match between Stunning Steve Austin and Michael Wallstreet, The Steiners and Road Warriors pounding all over each other and Macho Man whipping both Lawler and Bossman to victory in the main event. The show opens with Jerry Jarrett announcing the next big event: Wrestlecade II at the Midsouth Coliseum on Thanksgiving Night. Sometimes the Truth Must Be Told As the show opens, we see the First Family (Jimmy Hart, HTM, Eddie Gilbert and Greg Valentine) at the podium with Lance Russell. Honky Tonk Man is visibly upset and demands that Brian Christopher comes out to the podium. Lance Russell trying to protect Brian, says that Brian Christopher is not obligated to do anything he doesn’t want to do. Suddenly, the fans are heard screaming as Brian Christopher comes flying out Jimmy Hart: “Oh baby get ready. This is gonna be great. The cat’s coming out of the bag.” Honky Tonk Man: “Brian, I warned you last time…. If you ever showed your face again in USWA Wrestling, I was gonna blow your cover. I knew there was something strange about that masked POW character nonsense and that’s exactly why I pulled it off of you last week in the Midsouth Coliseum. You thought you could pull the wool over our eyes. No way! I saw right through you. I mean come on Brian. Imitating a prisoner of war that’s really low even for someone with your last name. Brian: “hold on, hold on!” Jimmy Hart: “No way baby. It’s too late!” Brian: “I’m not talking to you, you little weasel. I’m talking to Honky Tonk Man; or should I say Wayne Ferris or ….. should I say ……Cousin.” Honky Tonk man with a shocked look on his face. Brian Christopher: “My father always told me how dumb you were and you just proved it. My POW mask wasn’t for Prisoner of War. It’s for Prince of Wrestling!! That’s right folks, my father is the King of Memphis Wrestling. Jerry Lawler!” A gasp from the crowd along with Lance Russell! Brian Christopher: “That’s right Lance. I am Jerry Lawler’s son. Folks, I’m sorry for not telling you the truth from the start but I wanted to try and make it in this sport all on my own. It has nothing to do with Dad. This was all my decision and I’m sorry for not being honest from the from the beginning. Jimmy Hart and Honky Tonk Man look like all of the Thunder was just stolen from them as the cat is out of the bag. Brian Christopher: “Honky Tonk Man… I’m sorry, I mean Wayne. Let’s tell your story …now since you wanted to be the one who spilled all the beans about me. I remember Dad saying you were the black sheep of the family and that’s why we didn’t spend any time with the Ferris side of the family. He said you just was raised all bad and you didn’t know how to act. That’s right folks …. Wayne here is my daddy’s first cousin and my second cousin, but we don’t like to admit that in public . You cousin… you’ve always been a lowlife and after the last time Daddy kicked your butt, from one end of the arena to the other, you ran away like you’ve always done. This time, you ran all the way up to New York and tried to pretend you were some famous musician. The only problem was you were worse at music than you were at wrestling. WHAM …. Honky Tonk Man attacks Brian This leads to a 3-1 beating as “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine join in the attack and they all get their shots in on young Brian. Lance Russell: And here comes the King and the Anvil. It’s Jerry Lawler and he’s on fire!... Big right hand after big right hand. Neidhart is hammering away on Valentine. Somehow, Jimmy Hart gathers his men as they run for the hills as Lawler and Neidhart check on Brian. Jerry Lawler, Jim Neidhart and Brian Christopher to the podium. Jerry Lawler: Jimmy Hart… Wayne Farris, my lowlife cousin. Let’s get one thing straight. I‘ve known both of you for most of my life… since we were all kids. You two both tried your luck in the music industry and failed. I tried to help you both out … to make something of yourselves … by bringing you into wrestling. Wayne…. Jimmy…. The problem was you two were jealous. Jealous of me. Jealous that you two weren’t any good at this either so you have been trying to come up with ideas for decades on how to run me out of wrestling. Well you’ve failed each and every time. I am the King of Memphis and now I got me boy with me… Brian…. The Prince of Wrestling. Now imagine how hard it will be for you two now that there’s two Lawler’s. Things are gonna change around here. It’s you two who will be run out of Memphis … by King and the Prince! Father and son embrace as the crowd goes wild. Later in the evening, we hear that it will be Jerry Lawler, Jim Neidhart and Brian Christopher vs HTM, Eddie Gilbert and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine at Wrestlecade in a 6-Man Texas Tornado Match. Randy “Macho Man” Savage is coming for the USWA World Title. After Savage got the big win the wild Country Whipping Match against Jerry Lawler and Big Bossman, it is obvious that Savage is the clear #1 contender to Bossman’s USWA World Title and it is announced that this match will take place at Wrestlecade on Thanksgiving. This week both men are dominant in their matches against members of the undercard and it is their fiery promos that build heat towards this bout. Randy Savage: “Oh yeah… Bossman…You ain’t never seen anyone like the Macho Man… oooh yeah! You got no clue about Randy Savage and where I’m coming from …. Because it’s mindboggling how one man can make it to the top all by himself. I don’t care about the fans… I don’t care about the USWA Board of Directors…. And most of all, I don’t care about you Bossman! I do what the Macho Man thinks is right …. Oooh yeah…. I don’t care if you whip me with that leather strap …. I don’t care if you knock me over the head with that night stick of yours …. I don’t care if you powerslam me on the concrete floor …. Macho Man won’t be stopped. I came to the USWA wanting that World Title and nothing can stop me. People say that the Macho Man ain’t playing with a full deck …. And their right … I’m playing with a stacked deck…. I’ve always got an extra ace up my sleeve…. Oooohhh yeah! And when I slap that 5th ace on the table, I’ll be walking out with the world title. Bossman: (dressed in his correction officer uniform, yelling and sweating) Randy Savage …. I’ve been dealing with people like you all my life. People who don’t think the law applies to them… They don’t care about anybody but themselves. They push and push until the law can’t take it anymore. That’s where my services come in…(waving his nightstick) and by services … I don’t mean beating you 1-2-3 in the middle of the ring. I mean kicking your ---- and breaking every bone in your body. Come Wrestlecade, I will walk into the ring with this USWA World Title and I will walk out with this USWA World Title…. while you will walk into the ring …. But…. You won’t walk out! By the end of the show, Lance Russell and Dave Brown are starting to put over Savage as the lesser of two evils as Bossman seems to be on some vigilante kick while Savage is just trying to do what ever wrestle enters this sport trying to do… be the World Champion. David vs Goliath Lance Russell really puts over the USWA World Tag Team Title match from Halloween Spooktacular where the Road Warriors won the belt over the Steiners. Lance also informs us that Rick Steiner did suffer and injury in that bout and will be out of action for a little while so the Steiners will have to wait to get their rematch. Lance does inform us that due to this injury, the USWA Board of Directors has named a new tag team as the #1 contenders to the Road Warriors and that is none other than the USWA Southern Tag Team Champions… The Rock n Roll Express and it will be the Express vs The Road Warriors at Wrestlecade. After the USWA Southern Tag Team Champs, the Rock n Roll Express defeated Southern Justice in a great TV bout they joined Lance and Dave at the podium. Robert Gibson: Right now, the Road Warriors are on top of the mountain. Make no mistake about it… they are two big and bad men …. But …. the Rock n Roll Express have been the underdogs before and we’ve climbed that mountain and on more than a few occasions, we took control of that mountain. Animal and Hawk… we won’t give an inch at Wrestlecade. We are coming to win and coming for those world titles. Ricky Morton: Robert and myself have walked through Hell on many nights in this business. I know Wrestlecade will be another one of those nights. It’s going to take both of us a few days, maybe weeks to get out of bed after the Road Warriors beat us from pillar to post at Wrestlecade. We are going to be bruised from head to toe from massive bodyslams and clotheslines… maybe even a night or two in the ER might be instore for us …..but when we come out on the other side of this… oh how sweet it’ll be to have those World Titles around our waist! After their win against Sweet Brown Sugar and Pez Whatley, Animal and Hawk also headed to the podium. Animal: Contusions, busted ear drums, concussions, hemorrhaging… these are the things our dreams are made off! If we took out somebody with the soze and strength of Rick Steiner, imagine what we are going to do to Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton…. Two little bandana-wearing twerps. Hawk: Robert Gibson… Ricky Morton… We heard you two out here earlier talking about how the Road Warriors are the King of the Mountain and how you know what pain you are going to be in when we are through with you. That is good… you have a clear picture of what the Road Warriors are and what we are going to do to you… The only problem is that this might be the last clear thought you two have as we are going to bash your brains from one side of your head to the other. Rock n Roll Express…. Be Afraid…. Be Very, Very Afraid! USWA World TV Title Situation Maybe technology is the wave of the future. It seems that Miss. York’s computer might have been right as Stunning Steve Austin gave Michael Wallstreet his first defeat since arriving in the USWA at Halloween Spooktacular in the Midsouth Coliseum. York warned Wallstreet about this just before the match was going to get started but it was too late. York tried to change the future and interfere in the bout only to have the powerful Medusa drag her off the apron. It was this commotion on the outside that Wallstreet blamed for the loss as he says he was distracted by the fact that Medusa, a professional wrestler, would go after his business partner for no reason. He says that Steve Austin knew that he was the better wrestler and that this was the only way he could save his title. Later in the show, Stunning Steve and Medusa laughed at Wallstreet’s claim. They both said the Computer Knows and that it was inevitable that Austin would win. Austin also said the World Television Title Match that Michael Wallstreet wants but doesn’t deserve, is going to cost him. A lot! When Lance Russell asked Austin how much money it would cost Wallstreet for the rematch, Stunning Steve said that he would let everyone know next week. Medusa also got on the mic and warned Miss. York about sticking her nose in their business. New Talent is in the USWA! This week we see a couple of short videos about newcomers to the USWA…. Terry Taylor and the Destruction Crew (Mike Enos and Wayne Bloom) Lance reminds the fans that Terry has been in Memphis before and that the fans are in for a treat. He admits that he doesn’t know too much about the Destruction Crew but from what he’s been told, they were one of the top teams in the AWA and Memphis fans know from experience that if you’ve made it in the AWA, you can make it anywhere!

Great show.... Saito is a great choice for a title match as everyone could see him beat anyone on any given day. He was one tough looking dude! Love the "who's the best wrestler from Mexico" angle. This could be fun! Really looking forward to Superclash!
-
Great main event with the Warrior and Rhodes making a big save. While Ivan doesn't have too much left, just his presence makes this feud even bigger. Good job Looking forward to Survivor Series
-
Great recap show as we move forward to Thanksgiving. Great job setting the scene with some huge angles coming. Looking forward to seeing the Sting title reign.

USWA drops Bill and Jaime Dundee, Steve Simpson, Steve Doll and Dream Machine

Great house shows... I am enjoying what you are doing with Duggan. He is showing to be a real fighting champion and fights fire with fire. After he was nailed with the flag, he comes back with the 2x4. Big win for the Nasty Boys as they go over Dynamite and Benoit!! They are quickly moving up the ranks. Watch out for Benoit. He is real dangerous when he is angry. Dynamite better smooth this over. This could be a great angle to push Benoit.

I must give credit to Playboy Buddy Rose. Still going strong and holding his own against Dibiase!

Great reporting of all the big house shows this week. The Knickerbocker Arena was where mt college played many of the basketball games... great Arena and great memories. I think you have done a great job of keeping all your major players looking really strong going into Survivor Series. You are doing a great job of pushing the Nasty Boys... they will be big for the WWF in 91! Duggan and Billy Jack... that is one tough duo! OMG is awesome. I have recently been watching some of his work and for a big man, he could really bump and sell. He was always willing to put somebody over. One of the good guys in the game!

Wow... love how Dawn of War is going to all corners of the country... Title Night in Alaska. Should be awesome. Really love your development of Cactus Jack... Bang Bang! Of all the matches on the card, I am really looking forward to Latin Desire vs Heavenly Desire. Landel could really do it all if he just kept his head on straight. Also, I think Prichard was underrated as he was pretty good in the ring and real good on the mic! Wow... Idol pulls out the "Darling" quote for JW Storm. He must really think something of him... great promo!

Batman (Ken Patera) vs Joker (Don Bass) Halloween in the Mid-South Coliseum is going to be spooky from beginning to end. On this week’s TV show, Lance Russell told everyone in the crowd to come to the matches in their favorite costume to get in for half price. We do see many dressed like the wrestlers in the ring but we also see a lot of Batman costumes, Joker costumes, Elvis costumes along with many kids in their football uniforms and cheerleading uniforms. This match is Memphis’ idea of a true comedy match, and the fans seemed to enjoy the opening act that saw Batman overcome the shenanigans of the Joker to lock in a devastating Full Nelson that saw the Joker quickly giving up. One thing for sure, Ken Patera really filled out that Batman costume. If this was a USWA tryout, he seemed to have passed the test with flying colors. Batman took bags of candy and went around to all the kids in the audience giving candy to them. Mask vs Signed Guitar POW vs Honky Tonk Man with Jimmy Hart POW was first to the ring wearing his normal camouflaged mask and matching trunks. He seems ready to pounce as he is jumping up and down getting himself psyched up. Honky Tonk is next and he is carrying the Elvis signed guitar. Jimmy Hart is in tow screaming at the fans through the megaphone. As for the match, POW once again seems to have that extra adrenaline like every time he faces the Honky Tonk Man. He is able to control a lot of the action until Jimmy Hart gets involved. This allows HTM to wrestle from the top for the next few minutes and seems poised to go for the Shake Rattle & Roll but somehow POW shoves him off and catches with a nice cross body block and we have another momentum change which eventually leads to POW going to the top rope for the big diving double leg drop! POW with the cover… WHAM… it is Jimmy Hart smashing the signed guitar over the head of POW! The ref immediately calls for the bell as we see POW’s mask beginning to show some crimson. At first HTM is upset at his signed guitar being smashed but then its as if a lightbulb has gone off in his head. With POW down, here is his chance to get the mask off. HTM sits up POW and begins to untie the mask. In the middle of this POW seems to come to and begins to frantically fight to keep the mask on. Too late… the mask is off… POW is none other than …. Brian Christopher, who, if we remember a few months back was warned by HTM to stop wrestling in Memphis or else he would reveal a HUGE secret. Let’s see what happens this week on TV!! Jeff Jarrett vs The Great Kabuki JJ defeats Kabuki with the running DDT as it looked like Kabuki was about to spray the green mist as he went into his pre-spit spinning ritual but JJ was too quick and surprised him with the big finisher. USWA Southern Tag Team Title Match The Rock n Roll Express © vs The Dirty White Boys The Rock n Roll Express defeated The Dirty White Boys with the double drop kick on DWB #2 after Ricky Morton survived a lot of punishment and was able to make the hot tag to Robert Gibson and this leads to the 4-man melee and the victory for the Express. Tennessee Street Fight “Wildfire” Tommy Rich, JYD & The Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant vs Southern Justice (Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce) & Wild Bill Irwin In this fun mid-card brawl, we see the fan favorites go over after Jimmy Valiant connected with the big elbow drop on Tex for the win. This match had a little shine for everyone but one thing for certain, Wild Bill and that big boot of his is still one of the most devastating moves in wrestling as he had JYD is a world of trouble during the middle of the match, USWA World TV Title Match “Stunning” Steve Austin with Medusa vs Michael Wallstreet with Miss. Alexandra York Just before the match, it seemed that Miss. York got some last-minute updates from her computer as she seemed to be telling Michael Wallstreet not to wrestle the match. Wallstreet assured her that it was just a glitch in the computer and that there was no way he was losing to Steve Austin. Well Austin seemed to believe Miss. York’s information as he was pretty sure of himself as we were getting started. After a few minutes, you could tell why. He seemed just one step ahead of Wallstreet for much of the match. Miss York seemed to panic and jumped up on the apron and looked ready to hit Austin with the computer. WHAM… Medusa runs into the ring and nails Miss. York with a huge dropkick and Miss York bumps her way all the way to the floor. Nobody is sure if this distraction helped Stunning Steve or if he was just better than Wallstreet on this night as right after York hit the ground… WHAM…. Stun Gun by Austin and the ref makes the 1-2-3! First Blood Match “The Anvil” Jim Neidhart vs “The Hammer” Greg Valentine with Jimmy Hart These two former partners are now big-time enemies after Anvil had enough of Jimmy Hart and his nonsense but Valentine sided with Hart so here we are… Big time Brawl!! While we see some big-time punches, elbows and kicks, we do not see any blood for the first ten minutes or so of this Pier Sixer. What happens next is pure karma! Brian Christopher rushed down to the ring and goes after Jimmy Hart. The little weasel sees Christopher and takes off running around the outside of the ring with Christopher is hot pursuit. After a few laps, Hart heads up the ramp but that doesn’t stop Brian Christopher from the pursuit. Unfortunately for Valentine, Jimmy Hart, in a pure state of panic, tossed the megaphone up and into the ring as he was being chased. Anvil picks it up and with an evil laugh…. WHAM… Anvil cracks Valentine over the head and we have blood!!! Avil with the win as fans are left to ponder if Brian Christopher is choking out Jimmy Hart in some corner of the Midsouth Coliseum. USWA World Tag Team Title Match The Steiner Brothers © vs The Road Warriors No need to go into too much detail as these two power teams nailed each other with some of the biggest and hardest moves in the sport for about 12 minutes until it appeared that Rick Steiner injured his right leg while executing one of his big suplexes. This left Scott to defend the title by himself against Animal and Hawk which is just too big of a task for any human. In the end, we see The Road Warriors connect with the Doomsday Device on Scott and we have new USWA World Tag Team Champions…. The Road Warriors. Lights Out – Non-Sanctioned-Non-Title- Texas Tornado- Country Whipping Match USWA Champion Bossman vs “The King” Jerry Lawler vs Randy “Macho Man” Savage While this is not a title match, one thing is for certain… the winner of this wild bout can stake claim to being the top dog in the USWA! With everybody with a strap and everyone in the ring at the same time, one thing for certain… Lawler, Savage and Bossman will all have the welts to show for this one. Whipping, choking and typing people to the ropes soon became the norm in this Country Whipping Match. It didn’t matter to anyone who they hit… all three men have pure hatred for each other and with good reason! In the end, we see Lawler trying to choke out Bossman while Savage was down from a powerslam by Bossman. The choke went on long enough that Macho Man recovered enough to climb to the top rope… WHAM… top rope diving elbow drop to both Lawler and Bossman. Savage tosses Bossman over the top rope and then violently begins to whip Lawler. Finally Savage covers Lawler but did he wait to long? 1…2….3! No, Savage wins this brutal match. As for the fans, they where clearly behind the King but they may have found some new respect for Savage for surviving such a brutal bout!

Yes... the figures are back. Awesome job with the red ring, the camera stands, the monitor and the crowd. How did you make it look like a real crowd? What a show..... You put so much work into this show and we all appreciate it. From setting the scene to the back and forth between Heenan and Ross to all the pre-match promos, to the great match write-ups, this was top notch from beginning to end. Nice job moving Sid along the ladder as he goes over the Z-Man. What a brawl between Doom and the Bulldogs. Nice job with all the details. Freebirds and the Rockers could go on for every and nobody would complain... keep handing Michaels and Hayes a microphone and you could print money. Of course we need a Hearse. It's Halloween and the Undertaker with the Tombstone! I love the Scott Hall heel turn. It just makes sense plus look at that group... Hall, Rude and Hennig... sounds like they need 1 more to be better Horsemen then the Horsemen. Muta-Steamboat... Easy... this is the match of the night for wrestling purest. Sting over Luger... Wow... how far Sting has come since he wasn't even in the Top 10 a few months ago. Looking forward to his reign but with your roster their are some serious contenders. Again... great work!!!

Does Black Bart belong to WWF?

Now that was done in record time. Great job everyone. I will add the new names to everyone's roster over the next couple of days. Please don't use them until the new year. Also, look over your rosters to see anyone who is retiring. Let me know if you plan on keeping them as a manager or in another role. If not, I will be moving them into our retirement section when I have some time in December. You can still use them in the ring until the end of the year. Also, please check your rosters to make sure I have not made any mistakes as I am sure we will all have many moves coming as we hit 1991. Please follow our roster cap limits. Remember wrestlers who were exchanged or loaned out must still count on someone's roster.

USWA will drop out
