First... the last of the opening round... Platt/RPG still flies in Texas. Those two are great together. I did pretty good in predicting this round and think there are 3 really strong teams left between Armstrong/Taylor, The Wild Bunch and Fuller/Golden but nothing here would surprise me. I just felt every word of that Bockwinkle interview... Perfect! As for the second round... Nice to see Tatum and Victory stay in the tourny. With it being in Texas, the fans may hate them but they are familiar with them and it could sell a few tickets. AWESOME Ending to the Bruise Brothers vs The Highway Men. So creative... Loved it. Was really looking forward to see who would come out on top between the Rich's and the Fab Ones... nice job hear even though it was not very popular. You kept both teams looking strong while progressing an angle that we will hear more about in the coming weeks. I had a feeling the Nightmares would win but the Moondog interference agani sets us up for more drama... Two teams will be searching out the Moondogs and can't wait to see who gets to them first. More awesome booking with Slick and the Sheepherders... I need to win the lottery! Landell was priceless... Whatever happened to Rick Harris... AWESOME Would have been great to see the crowd reaction to the powder in the face of Valiant... Bart & Bass are great together. Wish I had done better by them when they were on my roster. Anytime we get an Armstrong vs a Fuller you know two things... First.. you are in for a treat. Second... there is going to be some chaos in the end. This one or the Gunslingers vs the Funks has been the Match of the Tourny so far in my eyes as it is here that we lost a team that could have won it all. BRO-DEE....BRO DEE!

Kudos to the USWA... this tournament is awesome. I was doing great at my predictions for the USWA side of the tourny but I think I got every match wrong on the Texas side of the card. The USWA has a lot of tough teams left.... I could be completely off base again but I think the USWA has 4 really strong teams left with the Highway Man, Johnny & Wildfire, The Bruise Brothers and The Fab Ones. I could really see the Texas crowd going after Johnny and Tommy. They just continue to push the envelop here. As for Texas All Star Wrestling.... WHAT A FIESTA GARDEN. Can't wait to see how Lance .... I mean Ricky Vaugh responds. Texas has some great heel team left but would love to see the Gunslingers do well as they seem to be the heart of the promotion. BIG BIG WIN here over the Funks. Okay.... even here in the DVE Memorial Tourny you got to keep on teasing me. WHO IS LUSCIOUS?

Knoxville first... Wow... Dusty brands Funk... I wonder if that ever happaned in real life. If not... it should have. Golden and Fuller destroying the competition in TN seems perfect to me. Colon-Iaukea feud... perfect for the fans of the violent. Could joins be in the market for another team? Devils Duo better step up. The build up by the three of you for the DVE tourny has been great. Every team seems to think the can win. Can't wait to read about it. Tully better be careful... Slater is one tough SOB Who is the King... can't wait to see. Between you with the King and Texas with Luscious... very good and keeping the audience on their toes. Big Man was robbed! AND ON TO RUPP ARENA.... And things went from bad to worse for Big Man Steel The Fan Ones are on the rise! Like how the card appeals to all the different types of fans. Strong vs Lewin and Carlos vs Kamala are great midcard brawls. WHAT A MAIN EVENT. Wonder who will come out on top when they meet in singles competition.

Great, entertaining show. A loser-leave town match on TV would have been the highlight of my childhood except that I would have been upset that Iceman. Dory joining forces with Slick, Ferige and BNA?.... Bullet may need some help. Wildfire Tommy and Cousin Johnny are giving some priceless interviees... The VonErichs could have made the same tape obout them in real life from what I have read.

Such a good job of capturing the Texas Wrestling feeling. Open segment with the coin toss was really fun. The Rich's are really pushing it! Should be fun when they finally do get to Texas... Was wishing Horner gave him a beating but forgot about the Martial Arts Expert now on the pay roll. The Fiest Garden was great. Like the back and forth between Alvin and Brenda.... The USWA is really a tight knot group and all of these joint promotion angles would really increase the viewing og each promotion. GLad we are in the cable age where fans might actually be able to see both shows. Luscious.... you are a real tease here... The Jayhawks are a great addition to the promotion... might be a great addition to the tourny! Awesome main event... I have tried a few times when I had Bass and Bart on my roster to not use them as a tag team. Bad choice by me. THEY ARE PERFECT TOGHETHER.

Wow... I was hooked on every word. I liked how you kept the integrity of the card by giving us some true opening matches, some great midcard matches and some huge matches at the end of the card. I tend to throw all my big guns into events like this which isn't true to histroy as we could never bring in enough fans to pay everyone. The story of Jeff Jarrett continues to grow.... his stock rises here even though he went down in defeat but he proved he is one tough SOB by not submitting. I had a feeling that Chicky would not be a fan favorite for very long. Like how the Moondog got hit with his own bone. A perfect ending for what would have been a truly wild match. Love the ending to the Mulligan/Khan match as now I know we will see more of this feud. I had thought Bob Armstrong was going down in defeat on this card but then, while reading it, I thought, just maybe.... but then here comes Dory... Awesome writing here. Landel with Matt Borne.... this is going to be fun! You really gave me a treat here. Not sure how you do it but it makes me feel like I was really there or that I wish I was there. It makes me feel like I did when I was like 7 and thought this was all real. Awesome event.

Really fun event here. Can't wait to see what happens with the TNT situation.. Awesome main event.... Such huge names.

As I already said to both Blehschmidt and Spaldoni, I love the way the three of you are working together and the DVE Memorial is going to be awesome. Looking forward to the expansion of this territory. More fans need to see this. I read something recently that CCW was the best territory that nobody saw. Can't wait till Gulf Coast Clash... so many good matches Blackjack and Khan is high up on my list. Still wondering who placed the bounty. The Sheepherders and the Armstrongs are nice additions to the DVE tourny I hope Terry Taylor crushes Fergie but I know Fergie has too much money and a plan. Hoping it sone how backfires. Bad News won't get hit with too many canes before somebody gets hurt. Bruiser Brody seems like the best ref to enforce some order but I never trust the special ref.

Really good show. I know I said in this week for Texas All Star Wrestling but I am really loving how all the members of the USWA are working together to promote the DVE Memorial tourny. Jarrett reverses the refs decison but says it is a one time deal.... I wonder if he can hold himself to that. He might have opened up a door he can't close. Nice job getting the viewers excited for next week with two big matches already signes... Wells and Morrow just feels so personal and St. Clair better eat well this week with BIg Man Steel waiting. Nice brawl with Colon/Kamala etc.... I might put my money down on Iaukea when things get chaotic. Like how Brenda goes right back at Alvin (lol) So who is the real King... I thought he was in the NWA! (Wondering who this is going to be) Like the team of the Rose Cousins. They had some great personalities in that post match interview. Great show. The first segment with PP III was well done. The Crippler, The Jayhawks and his one-liners make him MUST SEE TV The Wild Bunch-Miller & Brooks is a great brawling tag team feud. I know who I am wanting to see win this one as there are some huge stakes involved here. The Fiesty Garden was awesome. Loved how sorry Madril was for insulting Lowrance and his comments on the Beauty Shop. The DVE Memorial tourny is shaping up nicely. Kudos to the three of you. Great main event. Adias with the big win but I wonder if Akbar is going to get over being misted?

Perfect. Wrestlingdata.com isn't musch better. It seems there are many promotions that didn't record their events in the 80's so no match records are kept.

I have been using wrestlingdata.com but cagematch is fine. I agree with you that it seems very unlikely that his only matches were title matches. I am fine removing the retirment tag. If anyone has a problem with that, let me know.

Lot of great matches here in these last two posts. The highlight for me would be Orton vs Hacksaw. NIce job keeping everyone active in this star-studded territory.
