Gerry Morrow is moving up my list of favorite heels in the game right now. Great character choice and angle. Nice use of Lelani Kai and I am looking forward to the Grapplers vs the Medics Afi and Tui is a great feud and gives those fans who like the combo of agility and power a great match-up! Brings me back to me days watching Polynesian Pro on Saturday afternoons on MSG in NY. Rooting hard for Sweet Ebony Express Steve O better be a Superhero or he is going to get a butt whooping for the trash he is spewing Great job making Morgan look like the wild animal heel who needs to be chained up. Makes his segments even more interesting. Wow.... who do the Elite think they are... choosing when they wrestle! I wonder if the USWA board is going to like having their match making powers taken from them? Dick Slater is another favorite of mine as he could really ride the fence between baby face and heel! Brenda and the Beauty Shop did a nice job here of hyping up the Crippler/ Wildfire situation! WOW... FUNK IS BACK IN A BIG WAY. LAWLER BETTER BE READY NOW! Great set of House shows this week but that Main Event in Louisville was CRAZY! Great stuff going on in the USWA!

NWA releases Bob Brown after getting Jushin Liger from the Pacific

Kabuki sprays Gary Hart... this is going to get interesting!
-
NWA adds Keith Hart and Dave Morgan and releases Swede Hansen and Rocky Kernodle

Close call and I would have loved to be at either event but I think Dirty Dutch's antics gives the slight nod to the Mississippi loop. I will say that having Carson in one location and Ron Wright in the other makes for great shows in either place. Looking forward to the TV show as maybe we find out... 1. Who the 3rd Nightmare is 2, What's Leduc's future 3. When the Bullet is healthy enough to take on Sawyer himself

Fun TV show that kicked off with a blast. I am enjoying the return of Dream Machine and that was a great opening bout with the Nightmare. Sunny War Cloud gives you another character to hook in the fans! I am really enjoying Sweet Ebony. For some reason Sweet Brown Sugar was one of my favorites. Nice to see them in an angle with the Lone Stars. What is going on with Steve O.... very interesting Super Fly Tui with a nice win but then it gets interesting.... Dr. Dream sells the Medics? Kai has a nice stable but I want to see what Dream does with the cash. Dream Machine might even be more unpredictable then Dirty Dick Slater who he called out. DJ and Kelly fulfill the big horses match on your card. Your roster really has something for everyone. Brenda's Beauty Shop is a big hit with me. Colon vs Tiger Jeet checks another box and gives those blodd thirty fans what they want. This one will be fun. WOW!!! Vin Man ..... not sure what to expect against Lawler..... Awesome house shows this week... Wildfire and Dream vs Slater and Oliver would be my favorite match of the two cards. Wildfire as a heel works so well in 1985. I wish he had made this turn in Georgia so I could have watched it. Never saw Memphis growing up. Sweet Ebony over Lone Star... love it! Wow.... Ayala gets help from Rip Morgon. Poor Super Fly Tui, he wasn't going to fly in this match unless someone through him. Seeing Lawler smack Skaaland would have been worth the price of admission all by itself.

Loved all the chaos of the card in Gulfport.... Just look at RD 1.... objects in the mask, partners hitting their own teammates by accident. I could just see the fans getting more and more into this as the night went on. Was surprised to see Fuller and Golden face the Aussies in the Semi-Finals as I thought that might be the title bout but great job getting this feud going with the DDQ! The Bullet is really getting under the skin of Buzz! This is going to be awesome! Way to make the money at intermission...Get a picture with Fuller! Ron Wright and the chisel gets the Nightmares the titles... Great choice by you Gene as this promotion is all about how crazy can things get and Wright and the Nightmares will make every match interesting as who knows what is coming next!

As for the show in Dothan.... So Exciting! Carson is doing a great job as that #1 heel manager as he is all over the card. What was Timbs thinking... he should have ram for the hills after he saw the Aussies and Carson celebrating. He got what he deserved! As you can see, I am becoming a fan of the heels here in Twin States! This includes Bota who continues his winning ways but in a more conventional way tonight! Glad Jerry Brisco bounced back here. His name is to big to have too many defeats in a row. I wonder how long Leduc will stay with Carson?

I really am liking the roster you have put together here! With all the new editions, this really has a Southeastern feel. Your commentary between Platt, RPG and the Aussies was awesome! RPG is able to being heat like no other in the game. I think that was the best change of direction due to a roster change I have seen in the game. They way you brought in Dundee and looked to steal a name, a manager and a spot in the tournament... brilliant! Fullers call in Golden... business is about to pick up! So glad I sent you Leduc. He deserved so much more than I was doing for him. Great win over Brisco! I will get to the big show in Dothan soon!

NWA adds Joe Savoldi and mike Miller and releases The Snowman and Scott Doring

Not a nag at all. Great for the game!

According to the new rule, yes. I look at that list next and we can add them to the Steiner Supplemental draft list which we can hold as soon as I get it up.

Just the first line had me hooked! Harley Race vs Kevin Sullivan for the Western States title.... WOW I am really enjoying Dory Funk as the TV champ and beating up on lesser opponents. It will be interesting to see who makes the first real challenge. I could just see Dory torturing these youngsters and jobbers and enjoying every minute of it. Okay... I must know! What is going on with Pat Patterson. Never seen a legit match stopped and a title taken away. I must know why! Get me to next week already. Race and Sullivan doesn't disappoint but I must admit, I don't think Sullivan will be pleased with his minions that he went down in defeat.

Got it. I made the list a while ago and did not take him off when you added him.
-
Thanks Rain. I will make those adjustments.

NEXT SUPPLEMENTAL DRAFT ORDER : THIS IS NOT THE ODER FOR THE 1986 DRAFT.... 1. Spaldoni 2. Kevin 3. Rain 4. Scarlett 5. Wahoo 6. Den 7. Gene 8. Darkny 9. Blehschmidt

I am torn on both issues here. The reason Rick Steiner was not in the game is that he actually was listed as debuting in 1983 when he used his real name. When Spaldoni and I first came up with this idea for the game, we started with the year 1984 and we each put in two promotions and then held a draft. I believe it was the AWA, Memphis, Stampede and Southwest. Each new writer who joined added two new promotions until all of the major ones were in. The reason for this is that we had both been involved in other games where we joined late and had some weak rosters and we did not want this to happen to our new writers so they would not get turned off. This also turned out to be the main reason so many wrestlers have been missed. Wrestlers often did not wrestle 10 matches in any one promotion in their first year or they were simply in a promotion that we did not use in the game. Steiner wrestled early on but not much in anyone territory. Of late, we have used the "finders keeper rule" but before that, we used supplemental drafts and picked newly found wrestlers from there. In September, I worked on finding names to add to our game as free agency was low. I found 15 wrestlers including some big names like J.J. Dillion and Carlos Colon. We held a draft for these wrestlers. We held 4 such supplemental drafts in the first 9 months of this project as new promotions joined and each time we did this, the rule was whoever dropped out first had the first pick in the next supplemental draft if we found any names. Following this rule, Spaldoni, who had the second pick but dropped out before he picked anyone would be first in line for Steiner. Rain, who had the 8th pick in that draft also dropped out before he chose anyone would be second in line if Spaldoni did not want him. I believe this system to be better then a "finders keepers rule." Steiner is also a good example of why I think we should keep the 10 match rule. Even though he did wrestle in 1983, he did not win a match in a major promotion until 1985 and he didn't win a title until 1987. I think the rule protects us from rushing people as I would find it hard to keep Rick Steiner on my roster and have him lose every match for two years. The same goes for Mick Foley and Scott Steiner who do not win matches in major territories until 1988. Since we are already allowed to make up jobbers names why ruin future top stars by jobbing them for two years which is what we should do. I am in fact having trouble keeping Leon White down. I so want to bring in Vader but I know it is just wrong as he barely won half of his 15 decisions in 1985.

Rain is correct! Any suggestions on how to proceed with this as it is a bug name!

Tough call this week but I am giving the nod to the Alabama loop. Sawyer vs Brad is such a great match and the wild finished tipped the scales in favor of Bama! I do however like that Jos Leduc is getting back some of his wild side here in Twin Sates and Bota has become Must See TV for me!
-
First, the TV show.... I swear if you were the writer back then, the territory system might have survived. Even if Vince took all the talent to the WWF, it would not have mattered. You now have me interested in the Vinnie Vin Man Valentino! Nice build up of Tiger Jeet as the Karachi Vice even think he is too crazy! You have also put some work in building up baby face Ayala. This will be interesting as in the end of the feud, only one may survive. One of my favorite territories I ever fantasy booked for was Polynesian Power Pro and Super Fly Tui was one of my favorite. Brilliant idea putting him with Leilani Again... awesome job making the not so exciting Greg Gagne exciting. Gagne vs Lawler is now must see TV as who knows what the Elite will do next. Nice job having Slater as the champ as he can do it all. He can travel everywhere and be interesting , will sell tickets, act as a heel, act as a baby face. He gives you so many options! As for the show at the HemisFair Arena.... - Like Champagne Morrow.... his new gimmick is going to be fun. - Not sure the Vin Man is a one women guy... but Brenda looks like she is trying. Funny angle here. Really enjoying it. - Hate to see Cooley go but Wildfire is a favorite of mine so excited to see what's next for him and cousin Johnny. - Tiger Jeet is one scary dude! Colon vs Tiger is going to be wild. I just remember Carlos vs the Butcher and the blood flowed like water in a river. Going to be fun. -Dr. Dream Machine might be in need of new nurses as the Medics seem to be struggling. Great write up of the main event. Really could picture it as it was happening. I also thought the match was going to end 4 different ways and it had my on the edge of my seat. WHAT A GREAT MATCH!

Again, Platt was right... This would have been an awesome ticket to get! Poor Hollywood Tatum... He did tend to shoot off hos mouth too much! And the weapons appear... I think I rank the Voo Doo Dust as #1 followed by the Missed Fireball. Bota is one dangerous dude! Poor Don Carson only had the loaded glove. Nice job heating up the Sawyer/Armstrong feud here with Buzz costing Brad a win. Also makes Leduc's stature rise!. LIke the draw between Brisco and Fuller as it keeps them both toward the top of the roster... No Harm Done to either! Like the Battens here... perfect team to get the first run. Armstrong "helping" Fuller? But then walks away without a word. This gives me that uneasy feeling. Also, a side note from the show, I think the roster moves you made today are going to make Twin States really interesting!

Twin States is hitting its grove. Enjoying RPG and Ron Wright here, They are both awesome at bringing in the heat. I like that the NWA is working well together. Good use of Landell and Watts! Watts will now be drawing the ire of Wright after they way that main event ended up. Who did turn on that music? Can't wait for the tournament and the 4 corner match to get the local titles going. Armstrong vs Leduc is a huge first round match. Also, excited to see if Carson can help Tatum enough to get passed Brisco. Glad you thought of George Burns and pairing him with Bota makes it very interesting. I agree with Pratt at the end... If you are anywhere near Dothan, What are you waiting for? Get A Ticket!

Thanks for the info

Was wondering if any one had any information on the show loop Watts used in 83,84 and 85. Also was wondering what was his biggest towns. Some said New Orleans but from the info I have found, New Orleans looked dead as it draw just over a thousand people. Also when did Watts do his TV taping. Any other info would be helpful!

I think Pacific Coast Wrestling is on fire. I am really enjoying the increase in the interview with Bonnema. I am looking forward to seeing the Pacific coast title situation you have developed. With both Steamboat and Gilbert going after Bam Bam, this is going to be fun,
